I had never noticed the habit, but once he mentioned it, I suddenly became more aware. I realized that whenever I’m watching TV or typing a report, I always start mindlessly cracking sunflower seeds. My friend doesn’t like sunflower seeds, and, to him, it seems unnecessary to work so much just to get one small seed. When we were young, the whole family would usually get together for Chinese New Year. Then, we all lived close to one another, usually in a small city, and sometimes even neighbors would go door-to-door on Chinese New Year’s Eve to check out what every household was making. I remember my parents would be in the kitchen cooking. Out in the living room, a large table would already be laid out, complete with fancy tablecloth, ready-made dumpling fillings, and dishes full of candy, fruits and sunflower seeds. Some of the dishes were to be offered to our ancestors later, while others were for neighbors and children to eat before the evening feast. I must have learned how to crack sunflower seeds back then. I don’t think it’s right to criticize one’s choice in food or eating habits, no matter how strange they may seem. It’s not only in China. When I went abroad, I found people had all kinds of strange habits when it came to food. In Denmark, they put salted red fish on bread and eat it for dinner, no matter how much it ruins your breath. They think it’s a delicacy (美味佳肴), and it’s connected to their certain culture. I think it’s a wonderful tradition. 24. What did the writer become aware of? A. She had ever typed a report about seeds. B. She had various snacks while watching TV. C. She damaged her teeth by eating sunflower seeds. D. She had a habit of cracking sunflower seeds. 25. What does the writer prove by mentioning Chinese New Year? A. The traditions of celebrating it disappear. B. Eating sunflower seeds is related to it. C. The families get together for it. D. Children can eat delicious food on that day. 26. The writer’s attitude to Denmark’s way of eating bread is _________. A. neutral(中立的) B. critical(批评的) C. acceptable D. doubtful 27. What lesson can we learn from the story? A. One kind of food doesn’t necessarily suit everyone. B. It is good to form healthy eating habits. C. Eating habits come from a certain culture. D. Changing your eating habits will change your life. D 25. B 26. C 27. 根据第二段“I had never noticed the habit, but once he mentioned it, I suddenly became more aware. I realized that whenever I’m watching TV or typing a report, I always start mindlessly cracking sunflower seeds.(我从来没有注意到这个习惯,但他一提起,我就突然意识到了。我意识到,每当我看电视或打报告时,我总是开始无意识地嗑瓜子)”可知,作者意识到自己有嗑瓜子的习惯。故选D。 【25题详解】 推理判断题。根据第三段“When we were young, the whole family would usually get together for Chinese New Year. Then, we all lived close to one another, usually in a small city, and sometimes even neighbors would go door-to-door on Chinese New Year’s Eve to check out what every household was making.(当我们小的时候,全家通常会聚在一起过春节。 通读全文特别是根据最后一段“When I went abroad, I found people had all kinds of strange habits when it came to food. In Denmark, they put salted red fish on bread and eat it for dinner, no matter how much it ruins your breath. They think it’s a delicacy (美味佳肴), and it’s connected to their certain culture.(当我出国时,我发现人们在食物方面有各种奇怪的习惯。在丹麦,他们把咸鱼放在面包上当晚餐吃,不管它会多么破坏你的呼吸。他们认为这是一种美味,与他们的特定文化有关)”可知,文章告诉我们饮食习惯来自某种文化。故选C。 C Fashion inspired by traditional Chinese culture is experiencing revived global interest, with designers and their collections increasingly impressing fashion show audiences. At China-France Fashion Week, held at the China Cultural Center in Paris, designers showed 30 outfits (服装), each presenting the cultural heritage of Quanzhou, a coastal city in East China’s Fujian province, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021. “The event promoted a dialogue between tradition and modernity, Eastern and Western aesthetics (美学),” says designer Meng Yueming, 33. Borrowing elements (元素) of the city’s heritage, including zanhua, the traditional dress of Hui’an women, local tea culture, and architecture, Meng mixed traditional and modern elements into his designs. Describing the show as “fantastic”, Isabelle Lawson, executive director of the French International Art Salon, says it was a “brilliant” idea for the designers to transform Quanzhou’s landmarks and architecture into the designs. The week was designed to deepen China-France cultural exchange and strengthen cooperation in the cultural and creative industries between China and France. “Before this show, my understanding of traditional culture was superficial, but when I dug deeper, I found a treasure in front of me to explore,” Meng says, adding that he feels that using Chinese elements is important for native designers and companies to go global. Meng’s experience highlights how an increasing number of designers are drawing on their heritage and cultural traditions while celebrating their own cultural identity. For Meng, it is good time for Chinese designers to find their voice on the global stage, and to show how rich and graceful. Chinese-style can be today. 28. What was special about the 30 outfits? A. They brought about a change in fashion. B. They were inspired by modern western fashion. C. They included elements of Chinese culture in the design. D. They were created by Chinese and French designers together. 29. What was the aim of the Fashion Week? A. To promote cross-cultural communication. B. To strengthen a sense of cultural identity. C. To show designers’ wonderful collections. D. To introduce Chinese traditional dress to the world. 30 Which is closest in meaning to “superficial” in paragraph 5? A. Narrow. B. Unique. C. Detailed. D. Balanced. 31. Which of the following is the best title for the text? A. Chinese Designers: A Voice in Fashion B. Celebrating Cultural Diversity Through Fashion Show C. Chinese Elements Shine on the Global Fashion Stage D. Fashion Changes: From Traditional to Modern Elements 【答案】28. C 29. A 30. A 31. 根据第一段“At China-France Fashion Week, held at the China Cultural Center in Paris, designers showed 30 outfits (服装), each presenting the cultural heritage of Quanzhou, a coastal city in East China’s Fujian province, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021. (在巴黎中国文化中心举行的中法时装周上,设计师们展示了30套服装,每一套都展示了泉州的文化遗产。泉州是中国东部福建省的一个沿海城市,于2021年被联合国教科文组织列为世界遗产。)”可知每一套都展示了泉州的文化遗产,说明这30套衣服在设计中加入了中国文化的元素。故选C。 【29题详解】 细节理解题。根据第四段“The week was designed to deepen China-France cultural exchange and strengthen cooperation in the cultural and creative industries between China and France. (该活动旨在深化中法文化交流,加强中法文化创意产业合作。)”可知时装周的目的是深化中法文化交流,也就是促进跨文化交流。故选A。 根据划线词下文“but when I dug deeper, I found a treasure in front of me to explore (但当我深入挖掘时,我发现面前有一块宝藏可以探索。)” 通读全文,尤其第一段“Fashion inspired by traditional Chinese culture is experiencing revived global interest, with designers and their collections increasingly impressing fashion show audiences. At China-France Fashion Week, held at the China Cultural Center in Paris, designers showed 30 outfits (服装), each presenting the cultural heritage of Quanzhou, a coastal city in East China’s Fujian province, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021. C。 D Dreams can be familiar and strange, fantastical or boring, but some dreams might be connected to the mental processes that help us learn. In a recent study, scientists found a connection between nap-time dreams and better memory in people who were learning a new skill. In the study, 99 college students between the ages of 18 and 30 each spent an hour on a computer, trying to get through a virtual maze(迷宫).The maze was a different place each time they tried—making it even more difficult. They were also told to find a particular picture of a tree and remember where it was. For the first 90 minutes of a five-hour break, half of the participants stayed awake and an half were told to take a short nap. Participants who stayed awake were asked to describe their thoughts. Participants who took a nap were asked about their dreams after sleeping—and they were awakened within a minute of sleeping to describe their dreams. Stickgold, a neuroscientist(神经科学家),wanted to know what people were dreaming about when their eyes weren’t moving during sleep. Four of the 50 people who slept said their dreams were connected to the maze. Some dreamed about the music that had been playing when they were working; Others said they dreamed about seeing people in the maze. When these four people tried the computer maze again, they were able to find the tree faster than before their naps. Stickgold suggests the dream itself doesn’t help a person learn—it’s the other way around. He suspects that the dream was caused by the brain processes associated with learning. All four of the people who dreamed about the task had done poorly the first time, which makes Stickgold wonder if the dreams show up when a person finds a new task particularly difficult. People who had other dreams, or people who didn’t take a nap, didn’t show the same improvement. 32. After having a short nap, participants of the experiment were asked to__________. A. stay in a different place in the maze. B. try to remember something about their dreams C. design a virtual maze which is difficult to get through. D. get through a virtual maze on a computer from the same place 33. What can we learn from the text? A. Participants who took a nap were required to express their thoughts. B. Some dreams may encourage people to invent something new. C. Participants who dreamed about films could finish the task more easily. D. Participants whose dreams had something to do with the maze could find the tree faster. 34. According to Stickgold, _______. A. every person may dream about what they learned B. once people’s eyes stop moving, they are sure to dream about something C. people’s brain processes may still be connected with their learning in their dreams D. no matter how fantastical or boring, dreams are connected with people’s life 35. What is the best title for this text? A. Dreams Are Strange B. Not All Dreams Are True C. Dreaming and Memory D. Stickgold, a Dream Expert 【答案】32. B 33. D 34. C 35. 根据文章第三段“Participants who took a nap were asked about their dreams after sleeping—and they were awakened within a minute of sleeping to describe their dreams.”(研究人员询问小睡片刻的参与者入睡后做了什么梦,然后在一分钟内把他们叫醒,让他们描述自己做的梦。) 根据文章第四段“Four of the 50 people who slept said their dreams were connected to the maze.”(50名睡觉的人中有4人说他们的梦与迷宫有关。)和“When these four people tried the computer maze again, they were able to find the tree faster than before their naps.”(当这四个人再次尝试电脑迷宫时,他们能够比午睡前更快地找到树。) 根据文章倒数第二段“He suspects that the dream was caused by the brain processes associated with learning.”(他怀疑这个梦是由与学习有关的大脑过程引起的。) 根据文章的主要内容,尤其第一段“In a recent study, scientists found a connection between nap-time dreams and better memory in people who were learning a new skill.”(在最近的一项研究中,科学家发现午睡时的梦和学习新技能的人记忆力更好之间存在联系。) Leading a sustainable(不破坏环境的)lifestyle doesn’t require you to have to make great changes to your home, and this kind of transformation doesn’t have to be an exhausting exercise. ___36___ Here are three of them. ___37___ By using solar energy, you will make your home far more sustainable. The path was clear, and the sun was warm. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson walked ahead, while their two children, thirteen-year-old Sarah and ten-year-old Leo, followed behind. Leo, full of energy, was fascinated by everything around him. He kept pointing at squirrels and unusual insects, his laughter echoing through the trees. “Stay close, kids. The forest is vast, and it’s easy to get lost.” Mr. Wilson reminded them as they reached a fork (岔口) in the path. “If anyone gets separated, don’t panic. Stay where you are and act positively.” Mr. Wilson emphasized. Leo nodded, but his attention was soon caught by a large, colorful butterfly that fluttered near the bushes. Without a second thought, Leo stepped off the main path to get a closer look. The butterfly led him deeper into the woods, where the trees grew thicker and the sunlight faded. He walked further and further, his eyes fixed on the dancing insect. When Leo finally looked up, the butterfly was gone, and he realized that he could no longer see his family or hear their voices. He called out, “Mom? Dad? Sarah!” but there was no answer. The forest, once so friendly, now felt vast and silent. The only sounds were the whisper of the wind and the call of a distant bird. Meanwhile, Sarah noticed her brother was missing. “Mom, Dad, where’s Leo?” she asked, a note of worry in her voice. The family immediately stopped. “Leo!” they called out, their voices growing more and more anxious with each shout. Above the trees, dark clouds began to gather, blocking out the sun. The air grew cooler, and the wind started to blow more strongly, rustling the leaves loudly. What had begun as a perfect family day was now a race against time to find Leo before the weather turned worse and the forest was drowned into the deep shadows of evening. Knowing he was lost, Leo remembered his father’s advice about staying calm. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Just as Leo was starting to lose hope, he heard a familiar voice calling his name. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】例文 Knowing he was lost, Leo remembered his father’s advice about staying calm. He took a deep breath, fighting back tears. “Don’t panic. Stay where you are and act positively.” he repeated to himself. Spotting a relatively open spot near a big rock, Leo sat down and settled there. He also tore a piece of cloth from his jacket and hung it on a branch nearby to make a signal. The forest was completely enveloped in darkness and the cold wind made him shiver. He kept telling himself to be brave, but as the minutes went by with no sign of rescue, a small, cold fear began to grow in his chest. Just as Leo was starting to lose hope, he heard a familiar voice calling his name. It was his father! “Dad! I’m over here!” Leo yelled as loud as he could. He jumped up and down, waving his arm to catch their attention. Moments later, he saw his dad, mom, and Sarah coming towards him, their faces pale with worry but instantly brightening when seeing him. His parents rushed forward and hugged him tightly at the same time. Sarah patted his shoulder, her eyes shining with tears, saying, “We found you!” On the way back, holding his mother’s hand, Leo realized that not only had his calmness helped him, but his family’s unwavering love had saved him. 词汇激活 行为类 ① 喊叫:yell /shout ②拥抱:hug/embrace ③帮助:help/assist 情绪类 ①积极地:positively/actively ②恐惧:fear/fright 【点睛】[高分句型1] He jumped up and down, waving his arm to catch their attention. B A British friend told me he couldn’t understand why Chinese people love eating sunflower seeds (磕瓜子) as a snack so much. “I’ve met a lot of older Chinese and many have a crack in their front teeth; I believe that’s from cracking the seeds,” he said. C Fashion inspired by traditional Chinese culture is experiencing revived global interest, with designers and their collections increasingly impressing fashion show audiences. A Narrow. B. Unique. C. Detailed. D. Balanced. 31. Which of the following is the best title for the text? A. Chinese Designers: A Voice in Fashion B. Celebrating Cultural Diversity Through Fashion Show C. Chinese Elements Shine on the Global Fashion Stage D. Fashion Changes: From Traditional to Modern Elements D Dreams can be familiar and strange, fantastical or boring, but some dreams might be connected to the mental processes that help us learn. 32. After having a short nap participants of the experiment were asked to__________. A. stay in a different place in the maze. B. try to remember something about their dreams C. design a virtual maze which is difficult to get through. D. get through a virtual maze on a computer from the same place 33. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $第一节听下面5段对话。 Text one, would you like to have dinner before the film?
