My Favorite Food
My favorite food is dumplings, especially the ones my grandmother makes. Dumplings are a traditional Chinese food, often eaten during the Spring Festival.
My grandmother‘s dumplings are the best. The filling is made of fresh pork, chopped cabbage, ginger, and green onions, all mixed together with special seasonings. The wrapper is thin and soft. She folds them into a perfect half-moon shape with beautiful pleats along the edge.
To cook them,we boil them in water until they float to the top. When served, they look shiny and smell wonderful. I like to dip them in a sauce made of vinegar and a little soy sauce. The first bite is always amazing - the tasty filling and the soft wrapper create a perfect combination.
Eating dumplings with my family makes me feel warm and happy. It’s not just food; it‘s a symbol of family love and good wishes.
