结构
①if + 从句,主句 如 If you take the bus to the party, you'll be late.
②主句 + if + 从句 如 You'll be late ,if you take the bus to the party.
if 从句既可放在主句前,也可放在主句后。若 if 从句放在主句前,须用逗号隔开。

4.借助 without 或 with 来转换条件状语从句。如 If you help me, I'll finish the work soon. = With your help, I'll finish the work soon. If you don't help me, I won't finish the work.= Without your help, I won't finish the work.
【易错提醒】

Some people think only school children do not agree with their parents, however, it is not true.
Communication is a problem for parents and children of all ages. If it’s hard for you to communicate with your parents, don’t worry about it. Here is some advice for you to bridge the generation gap (消除代沟).
Don’t argue (争辩) with your parents. Don’t go to your parents when you are angry. Your parents probably won’t consider your ideas if you are shouting at them. And you can’t express yourself well if you are angry. Go someplace to cool off. Make sure you understand why you are unhappy. Then think about what you want to say to your parents. If you don’t think you can speak to them at the moment, try writing a letter.
Try to reach a compromise (和解). Perhaps you and your parents disagree on something. You can keep your disagreement and try your best to accept each other. Michael’s mother didn’t agree with him about buying a motorcycle. They argued over it. But they finally came to a compromise. Michael bought the motorcycle, but only drove it on certain days.
Of course, your parents might refuse to compromise on something. In these situations, it is especially important to show love and respect (尊敬) to them. Showing respect will keep your relationship strong.
Talk about your values. The values of your parents are probably different from those of your own. Tell your parents what you care about, and why. Understanding your values might help them see your purposes in life.
A good relationship with your parents can make you a better and happier person. It is worth having a try!
16.The passage tells us ________ have a communication problem.
A.parents and other people B.school kids and their parents
C.teachers and their students D.parents and children of all ages
17.Your parents probably won’t consider your ideas if you ________.
A.don’t talk to them often B.write a letter to them
C.don’t speak to them politely D.express yourself well
18.The underlined phrase “cool off” in the passage means “________”.
A.to make yourself happy B.to get you quiet and relaxed
C.to have a good rest D.to hide yourself quickly
19.If there’s really a generation gap between you and your parents, you’d better ________.
A.have a talk with them often B.keep away from them
C.agree with them all the time D.know about their values
B
根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有一项为多余选项。
Often you aren’t happy when you are with your parents. You say that your parents never understand (理解) you. You usually think they are too strict with you, and they never give you any free time. Is everything like what you think of? Not really. 20 .
Talk to them often.
Show your ideas to them and tell them what you are thinking about. Sometimes they want you to be good and healthy. So they worry much about you. 21 .
Help them with the housework.
22 . They are always tired (疲劳) after work. Why not help them do some housework to make them feel good? A smart child knows what to do for his parents.
23 .
Don’t always watch TV in your room. Go out and spend time with your parents. Play fun games with them. 24 . Your parents also need people to be with.
When you don’t want your parents to say no to what you do, try your best to let them understand you.
A.Spend time with them
B.Your parents are usually free
C.Or just take walks with them
D.Your parents are usually busy
E.You can do some things to be good with your parents

三、短文填空
阅读下面短文,在空白处按要求填入适当的单词或括号内单词的正确形式。每空1词。
Many teenagers don’t get along well with their parents and they don’t know what to do. If you face such a problem, what I’m saying now might be 25 (help) to you.
Have you ever 26 (think) of talking to your parents to find out why you don’t get along well with each other? When I was a teenager, I didn’t get on well 27 (介词) my parents either. We sometimes argued with each other. I am sorry that I had such 28 (冠词) experience. Now I’m a mother of four girls. Of course, we have different 29 (opinion), but I encourage 30 (they) to communicate with me openly and honestly. So far, they have trusted me and 31 (come) to me for anything. As a result, we get along very well.
Arguing with your parents will 32 (true) make them angry and you won’t feel good. Also, remember that the most important thing is to solve problems and silence will only make the situation worse. Try your best to be calm.
Remember that your parents love you. Sometimes they do something that you can hardly understand. For example, you may want to be an artist in the future, 33 (连词) your parents want you to do something else. If so, try to think in their shoes.
Life is too short and the family is important. 34 (try) your best to get along well with your parents.
阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
It’s common for parents to compare their children with other kids. While they might mean well, it can make you feel sad or even angry. So, how should you deal with this situation?
Understand their purposes.
Most parents compare because they want you to improve. They believe that others’ success will encourage you. So, try to understand their purposes. Ask yourself: are they really criticizing (批评) me, or just hoping I’ll do better?
Communicate calmly.
If comparisons get you down, talk to your parents in a respectful way. For example, you can say, “I know you want me to succeed, but when you compare me with others, I feel like I’m not good enough.” This helps them understand your feelings without starting an argument.
Turn comparisons into motivation (激励).
If your parents praise (称赞) some people, ask yourself what you can learn from them. Maybe they study efficiently, practise more, or use time more wisely. Get into their good habits, and you will do better next time.
Build self-confidence.
Write down your strengths—maybe you’re creative, kind, or brave. When your parents compare, think of what makes you special. With the confidence, you will not care too much about unhelpful comparisons.
Parents’ comparisons can be hard, but you can deal with them wisely. Remember, you are not defined (定义) by others’ success-your progress is what truly matters.
1.Why do most parents compare their children with others?
2.What should you do if comparisons get you down?
3.Why does the writer advise learning from the people your parents praise?
4.How can you build your self-confidence when facing comparisons?
5.In your opinion, what else can we do to deal with parents’ comparisons in a good way? (答案须与文中提到的方式不同)

A.after B.because C.unless D.since
【答案】C
【详解】句意:我们无法判断人工智能提供的信息是否正确,除非我们有一个清醒的头脑。

二、阅读理解
