The bridge is being built now.(这座桥现在正在被建造。) These letters are being typed by her.(这些信件正在被她打印。) 否定句 主语 + am/is/are + not + being + 过去分词 + 其他 The problem is not being discussed at the meeting.(这个问题在会上没有被讨论。) 一般疑问句 Am/Is/Are + 主语 + being + 过去分词 + 其他? Is the room being cleaned?(房间正在被打扫吗?) 特殊疑问句 特殊疑问词 + am/is/are + 主语 + being + 过去分词 + 其他? What is the machine being used for?(这台机器正在被用来做什么?) 3. The car is being repaired in the garage now.(这辆车现在正在车库里被修理。) 2. A new library is being built in our school.(我们学校正在建一座新图书馆。 He is always being praised by the teacher for his hard work.(他因努力学习总被老师表扬。 按计划安排的被动动作 限于少数表移动或活动的动词(如 hold, show) The concert is being held next Friday.(音乐会定于下周五举行。 2. 情感副词的位置:always 等副词需置于 “am/is/are” 和 “being” 之间(如错误:He is being always praised. 正确:He is always being praised.)。 3. 计划类动作的动词限制:仅少数动词(如 hold, take, send, show)可用于表计划的被动动作,多数动词需用 “be going to be done”(如错误:The meeting is being held tomorrow. 正确:The meeting is going to be held tomorrow.)。 正确:The house is being built. 2. 动词短语的完整性:由 “动词 + 介词” 构成的短语动词(如 look after, talk about)用于此结构时,介词不可省略(如 The children are being looked after by their aunt. The book is liked by students.)。 I'm knowing the answer. (错误 - know 是状态动词) I will know the answer soon. / I'm going to know the answer soon. (正确) She is being busy tomorrow. (错误 - be 是状态动词) She will be busy tomorrow. / She is going to be busy tomorrow. 三层必刷:巩固提升+能力培优+创新题型 一、单项选择(每题1分,共15分) 1.Many a new apartment building ______ in the quake-stricken area currently, so we have confidence that the city will take on a new look sooner than previously expected. Here’re some things about visiting Toronto. Best Months to Visit The best times to visit Toronto are from late April to May and from September to October. The busiest time is in summer. But as it gets warmer, prices also go up. If you want to save money on hotels, bring a warm coat and visit in winter. If you want good prices and nice weather, spring or fall can be the best choice. Culture and Customs Though English and French are Canada’s two official languages, you’ll also likely to hear Spanish, Russian, Polish, Chinese (including Mandarin and Cantonese) and so on. This is all thanks to Toronto’s ever-increasing immigrant (移民) population. There are a variety of cultures and customs here. What to Eat As one of the world’s most multicultural cities, not only does Toronto have a Little Italy, but there’s also Chinatown, and Greektown. There are so many foods worth exploring here that you may have to plan another trip or two. Getting Around Toronto The best way to get around Toronto is by using public transportation. The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has three types of transport: subway, streetcar, and bus. These run throughout the city and suburbs. If you don’t want to use public transportation, you can walk or bike instead. To get to the Toronto Pearson International Airport, you can use the subway or take a taxi. Taking a taxi will cost much, but the subway is much cheaper. 1.When may prices of products rise in Toronto? A.In spring. B.In summer. C.In fall. D.In winter. 2.Which is the official language in Toronto? A.French. B.Spanish. C.Russian. D.Mandarin. 3.How many ways of getting around Toronto does the author mention? A.Three. B.Four. C.Five. D.Six. 根据Best Months to Visit部分中的“The busiest time is in summer. But as it gets warmer, prices also go up.(最忙的时候是在夏天。但随着天气变暖,价格也会上涨。)”可知,夏季随着天气变暖,价格会上涨,由此可知,多伦多的商品价格会在夏季上涨。故选B项。 2.细节理解题。根据Culture and Customs部分中的“Though English and French are Canada’s two official languages, you’ll also likely to hear Spanish, Russian, Polish, Chinese (including Mandarin and Cantonese) and so on.(虽然英语和法语是加拿大的两种官方语言,但你也可能听到西班牙语、俄语、波兰语、汉语(包括普通话和广东话)等等。)” 故选A项。 3. 根据Getting Around Toronto部分中的“The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has three types of transport: subway, streetcar, and bus. These run throughout the city and suburbs. If you don’t want to use public transportation, you can walk or bike instead.(多伦多交通委员会(TTC)有三种交通工具:地铁、有轨电车和公共汽车。它们遍布城市和郊区。如果你不想乘坐公共交通工具,你可以步行或骑自行车。)”以及“Taking a taxi will cost much, but the subway is much cheaper.(乘出租车要花很多钱,但乘地铁要便宜得多。)” B When 17-year-old Syrian refugee Hadi Al-Masri arrived in Berlin’s Tempelhof refugee (难民) shelter in 2018, he noticed two problems: the center’s poor WiFi left 300 students unable to do online schoolwork, and piles of abandoned smartphones filled donation bins. Then he had an idea that would change his community. Using skills learned from repairing phones in war-torn Aleppo, Hadi began resurrecting broken devices. He turned a storage closet into a “tech clinic”, replacing cracked screens with plastic cut from water bottles and teaching himself Linux to revive motherboards. Within months, 40 repaired phones were circulating among students. But his real innovation came when he discovered the shelter’s unused satellite dish. “It looked like a giant metal flower,” Hadi recalled. From YouTube, he learned to redirect the signal. Using cable from abandoned TVs and a router (路由器) made from three damaged units, he built “NetHope”  — a network that boosted WiFi coverage to 95% of the community. The system wasn’t pretty, but it worked. Refugee children could finally attend virtual classes uninterrupted. German teachers noticed improved grades, particularly among girls who previously had to choose between studying and waiting in food lines. Hadi’s breakthrough went viral when a visiting journalist posted photos of his setup. Tech companies sent equipment, but Hadi insisted on teaching others first. His “Build Your Own Internet” workshops now train both refugees and elderly Germans in digital literacy (素养) . “The cables connect more than devices,” he said. “They connect people who think they’re different.” Now studying computer engineering at TU Berlin, Hadi still volunteers at the shelter every weekend. His latest project? A solar-powered charging station built into an old supermarket trolley. When praised, he shrugs, “In Syria, we say necessity sharpens the mind. I just had good teachers — YouTube and desperation.” 1.What does the underlined word “resurrecting” mean in paragraph 2? A.Throwing away. B.Selling for profits. C.Repairing and reusing. D.Collecting for future use. 2.What was probably the MOST significant result of Hadi’s “NetHope” project? A.It attracted tech companies to offer donations. B.It made the refugee shelter famous on social media. C.It aroused the community’s awareness of recycling and reusing. D.Refugee children could attend online classes without interruption. 3.Why did Hadi insist on teaching others about the Internet first? A.To follow the journalist’s advice. B.To further improve his digital literacy. C.To bridge the digital divide among people. D.To show off his talent in computer engineering. 4.Which of the following best describes Hadi? A.Talented but selfish. B.Brave and generous. C.Knowledgeable but rude. D.Creative and warm-hearted. 根据划线词后“He turned a storage closet into a ‘tech clinic’, replacing cracked screens with plastic cut from water bottles and teaching himself Linux to revive motherboards. (他把一个储藏室变成了一个‘技术诊所’,用从水瓶上剪下的塑料更换破裂的屏幕,并自学Linux系统来修复主板)”中“replacing cracked screens with plastic cut from water bottles”和“revive motherboards”可知,哈迪利做的是修复工作,所以“resurrecting broken devices”指的是修复损坏的设备。划线词“resurrecting”意思是修理并重新使用,与C项“Repairing and reusing”意思相近。故选C项。 2.细节理解题。根据第三段中“Using cable from abandoned TVs and a router (路由器) made from three damaged units, he built “NetHope” — a network that boosted WiFi coverage to 95% of the community.(他使用废弃电视的电缆和由三个损坏的单元制成的路由器,建立了“NetHope”网络,将WiFi覆盖率提高到95%)”和第四段中“The system wasn’t pretty, but it worked. Refugee children could finally attend virtual classes uninterrupted.(这个系统并不好看,但它有效。难民儿童终于可以不受干扰地上网课了)”可知,哈迪的“NetHope”项目最显著的结果是难民儿童可以不受干扰地上网课。故选D项。 3.推理判断题。根据第五段中“His ‘Build Your Own Internet’ workshops now train both refugees and elderly Germans in digital literacy (素养). ‘The cables connect more than devices,’ he said. ‘They connect people who think they’re different.’ (他的‘自己搭建网络’工作坊现在为难民和德国老年人提供数字素养培训。他说:‘电缆连接的不仅仅是设备,它们连接着那些认为彼此不同的人。’)”可推知,哈迪坚持先教别人使用网络是为了连接着那些认为彼此不同的人,是为了弥合人们之间的数字鸿沟。故选C项。 4.推理判断题。根据第二段中“Using skills learned from repairing phones in war torn Aleppo, Hadi began resurrecting broken devices. (利用在饱受战争蹂躏的阿勒颇学到的修理手机的技能,哈迪开始修复损坏的设备)”和第三段中“Using cable from abandoned TVs and a router (路由器) made from three damaged units, he built ‘NetHope’ — a network that boosted WiFi coverage to 95% of the community. (他用废弃电视的电缆和由三个损坏的路由器组成的一个路由器,搭建了‘NetHope’——一个将社区WiFi覆盖率提高到95%的网络)”可知,哈迪很有创造力;再根据第五段中“Tech companies sent equipment, but Hadi insisted on teaching others first. (科技公司送来了设备,但哈迪坚持先教别人)”和第六段中“Now studying computer engineering at TU Berlin, Hadi still volunteers at the shelter every weekend. (现在哈迪在柏林工业大学学习计算机工程,他仍然每个周末在收容所做志愿者)”可知,哈迪很热心。所以哈迪是有创造力且热心肠的。故选D项。 C Mention the 1970s and most people will have an opinion. It will be mixed up with memories of strikes and power cuts in London. Go deeper and there were plenty of pubs and in a world where television was limited to three channels, and cinema chains that often changed their programs twice weekly. Best of all, though, was live music. Every town had its established venue for touring bands but London enjoyed a number of smaller locations that hosted rock, folk or jazz acts several nights a week. Many of these were Irish owned or managed, and part of a tradition where providing live music was part and parcel of running a pub. In fact, there were an awful lot of bands and singers you could see on a regular basis within 25 miles of London. Even better, admission was free in many of the smaller venues. The concentration of so much of this in such a small geographical area was a comparatively recent development, and can be traced to the impact the 1973 oil price rise had on the record industry. Against the background of the strikes and power cuts that everyone experienced, would-be rock stars found that touring up and down the UK in a van and staying overnight in hotels suddenly became extremely expensive. It was hardly surprising that bands concentrated on venues closer to home to lower traveling and accommodation costs. There were other factors at work too. It’s worth remembering that the London of the 1970s was a city with a constantly declining population. There were many empty houses as well as local authority flats that were “hard to let”. And commercial space too, which meant plenty of recording and rehearsing(排练) studios. Forget the negative comments of the 1970s, the strikes and power cuts. We should celebrate the sounds that came out of the pubs half a century ago as part of our rich musical heritage. 1.What is the purpose of paragraph 1? A.To recall the memories of London. B.To show the unstable life in London. C.To introduce the emergence of live music. D.To reveal the severe situation of people’s life. 2.Why did many bands perform in venues closer to their homes? A.To reach a larger audience. B.To avoid strikes and power cuts. C.To take advantage of free admission. D.To reduce travel and accommodation costs. 3.What contributed to the concentration of live music venues in London? A.The decline in commercial space. B.The abundance of empty houses. C.The popularity of television channels. D.The lack of cheap accommodation. 4.What is the text mainly about? A.The rise of London’s live music in the 1970s. B.The history of the development of London. C.The contributions London made to music. D.The views of London in the 1970s. 根据第一段“Mention the 1970s and most people will have an opinion. It will be mixed up with memories of strikes and power cuts in London. Go deeper and there were plenty of pubs and in a world where television was limited to three channels, and cinema chains that often changed their programs twice weekly. 根据第四段“Against the background of the strikes and power cuts that everyone experienced, would-be rock stars found that touring up and down the UK in a van and staying overnight in hotels suddenly became extremely expensive. It was hardly surprising that bands concentrated on venues closer to home to lower traveling and accommodation costs. (在每个人都经历过的罢工和停电的背景下,未来的摇滚明星们发现,开着面包车在英国各地巡回演出,并在酒店过夜,突然变得极其昂贵。乐队集中在离家更近的地方演出以降低旅行和住宿费用,这并不奇怪)”可知,乐队选择在离家更近的地方演出是为了降低旅行和住宿费用。故选D。 3.细节理解题。根据第五段“There were other factors at work too. It’s worth remembering that the London of the 1970s was a city with a constantly declining population. There were many empty houses as well as local authority flats that were “hard to let”. And commercial space too, which meant plenty of recording and rehearsing(排练) studios. 根据全文内容,尤其是第二段中“Best of all, though, was live music. His mom told him he would get a new bike he always wanted as a prize after understanding the meaning of friendship. Martin thought this was a great idea and decided to talk to his teacher about it. His teacher was very supportive and gave him some valuable advice. With the teacher’s guidance, Martin began planning the event. He chose a weekend and invited his classmates to participate. He carefully designed the activity, preparing various challenges to ensure everyone could get involved. He explained the rules, including how to divide tasks, communicate effectively, and support each other when facing challenges. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and how to build trust and cooperation during the activity. On the day of the event, Martin and his classmates moved around the campus, searching for hidden markers. They were divided into several groups, each assigned different tasks. Some had to solve puzzles, while others had to complete physical challenges. Some tasks required close cooperation among team members. Martin noticed that some classmates encouraged each other when facing difficulties, while others shared their findings to benefit the whole team. Together, they overcame one obstacle after another, and each success strengthened the team’s cohesion (凝聚力). Among the challenges, one was impressive. B When 17-year-old Syrian refugee Hadi Al-Masri arrived in Berlin’s Tempelhof refugee (难民) shelter in 2018, he noticed two problems: the center’s poor WiFi left 300 students unable to do online schoolwork, and piles of abandoned smartphones filled donation bins. C Mention the 1970s and most people will have an opinion. Martin’s mom suggested that he organize an activity at school that would require teamwork and joint support. In the challenge, they had to cross a rope bridge over a simulated river. Team members had to support each other to ensure everyone crossed safely.
