There was a man named Zhou Chu who lived during the Western Jin Dynasty (265-316). He was very strong-stronger than any other man in the village. People were scared of him because he often bullied (欺负) villagers. At that time, a man-eating tiger and a deepwater monster (怪物) lived nearby. They often caused trouble for the village. People called them, along with Zhou, the "three evils"(三害).
One day, some villagers asked Zhou to help them kill the tiger and the monster. After three days of fighting, Zhou finally killed them and came back. But the villagers thought he was dead They celebrated his death. After seeing this, Zhou realized how much he was hated and decided to make a change.
He visited a famous scholar (学者) named Lu Yun. Lu told him, "If one realized what is good in the morning, he can change his behavior in the evening. Four dishes and one soup
This summer holiday, our school gave a special homework: cook "four dishes and one soup' for a family member. I chose Dad-I hoped this meal would make him get more energy again.
First, Mom and I went to the market to buy ingredients. She taught me to pick fresh cucumber: it should be firm, dark green, and have no soft spots. We also got a piece of fish for Shanghai style smoked fish (上海熏鱼) , a small cabbage, soft tofu for mapo tofu, tomatoes, eggs, and chili bean sauce.
Back home, we started preparing. Mom helped me clean the fish and marinate (腌制) it with soy sauce. I washed the cabbage and cut it into small pieces. Then, we cooked: Mom fried the marinated fish until it turned golden. I stir-fried the cabbage with garlic-its smell filled the kitchen. For mapo tofu, I added a spoon of chilli bean sauce and stirred (搅拌) gently. Finally, we boiled tomatoes and beat eggs into the water to make the soup.
When Dad came home, he took a bite of the fish and smiled. "This meal makes me feel fresh and energetic!"he said. Eating together made me proud-I not only finished my homework but also ___________________.

A Daily Sport
The daily sport I’d like to introduce is rope skipping.
Every break time, students take out skipping ropes and jump freely—some do single jumps quickly, while others try double-unders or group skipping with friends. It’s easy to play: all we need is a rope, and we can start anytime in the playground.
I choose rope skipping because it’s super convenient and beneficial. It not only makes our legs stronger but also improves our coordination. What’s more, it’s a fun way to relax between classes. No wonder it’s one of the most popular daily sports in our school!
