题目数量:每篇 3-5 题,共 6-10 题,以 “细节题” 为主(占 70%),少量 “推理题” 和 “主旨题”;
提问方式:多为特殊疑问句(what/who/when/where/why/how/which),偶尔出现一般疑问句(需用 Yes/No 回答并补充理由);
信息提取能力:能否快速找到原文对应信息并提炼关键内容;
语言组织能力:能否用正确的语法结构(时态、句式)和词汇表达答案;
例:问题 1“When did the students hold the environmental protection activity?”→ 疑问词 when,核心词 “environmental protection activity”,答题方向是 “找活动时间”;
问题 2“Why should we protect wild animals?”→ 疑问词 why,核心词 “protect wild animals”,答题方向是 “找保护动物的原因”。
We organized a tree-planting activity on November 15th in the park near our school to protect the environment.”
问题 1“When did the students organize the activity?”→ 提炼要点 “on November 15th”;
问题 2“Where did they organize the activity?”→ 提炼要点 “in the park near our school”;
问题 3“Why did they organize the activity?”→ 提炼要点 “to protect the environment”。
特殊疑问句:直接回答核心信息,无需重复问题(如 what 提问直接说 “某事”,when 提问直接说 “时间”);
一般疑问句:先答 Yes/No,再用 because/so 补充理由(如 “Did you take part in the activity?”→ “Yes, I did. Because I wanted to protect the environment.”);
不照抄原文整句(需同义改写或概括,如原文 “spend two hours helping me” 可改为 “helped me for two hours”);
不遗漏关键信息(如问题问 “how many”,需明确回答数字,不能只说 “some”);
1. 事实细节题(what/who/when/where/which)
定位后直接提取核心信息,简洁回答(1-2 句话即可);
时间 / 地点 / 数字类答案:需准确无误,不能随意更改(如原文 “on March 5th” 不能答 “in March”);
My best friend Tom is an honest boy. He helped me with my English homework every afternoon last week. We finished the homework together in the school library.”
问题 1:Who helped the writer with English homework?
答案:Tom. / Tom helped the writer with English homework.
问题 2:Where did they finish the homework?
答案:In the school library.
题型特征:考查事件的原因、目的或理由,原文常出现 because/so/to/in order to 等提示词。
找到原文中的原因句(含 because/so 的句子),用 “Because...” 或 “To...” 回答;
We should save water because there is less and less clean water on Earth. Saving water can help protect the environment.”
问题:Why should we save water?
答案:Because there is less and less clean water on Earth. / To protect the environment.
题型特征:考查做某事的方法、途径或过程,原文常出现 by doing/through/first...then...
用 “By doing sth”“Through sth” 或 “First..., then...” 回答;
How to improve your English? First, you should practice speaking every day. Second, you can read English stories before bed. You can also listen to English songs.”
问题:How can we improve our English?(列举 2 种)
答案:We can practice speaking every day and read English stories before bed. / By practicing speaking every day and reading English stories before bed.
4. 观点 / 态度类题(what do you think of.../how do you feel about...)
题型特征:考查作者或文中人物的观点、态度或感受,原文常出现形容词(happy/proud/worried)、动词(agree/disagree/support)等提示词。
提取原文中的情感词或观点词,用 “主语 + think/feel+that 从句” 或 “主语 + be + 形容词” 回答;
After the ‘Green Campus’ program, our school became cleaner. All students felt proud of what we had done. We think it’s a meaningful activity.”
问题:How did the students feel about the “Green Campus” program?
答案:They felt proud of it. / They thought it was a meaningful activity.

时态不一致:原文用一般过去时(如 last week/yesterday),答案不能用一般现在时;
人称错误:原文主语是 “the students”,答案不能用 “I/we”(除非题目要求 “你的观点”);
信息遗漏:原因类题需答全所有理由(如原文有两个原因,不能只答一个);
表达冗余:避免添加原文没有的信息,如问题问 “when”,不能额外回答 “where”;
语法错误:注意动词变形(如 help→helped/helps)、介词搭配(如 in the morning/on Sunday)。

Li Ming used to be a kid who never expressed his true thoughts. He always had the same opinion about everything his friends said.
One day, he and his friends were discussing whether middle school students should bring phones to school. His friends all thought they should. Li Ming had a different idea about this. But he was afraid to express his thoughts. Finally, he chose to agree with them. However, always agreeing with others made him feel very uncomfortable. So he told his mom about this. He wanted his mom to give him some suggestions.
“I can’t tell people what I really think. I just have to say what they say,” said Li Ming. His mom smiled and passed him a book—The Analects of Confucius (《论语》). She told him this might be helpful to him. When he read the sentence “Gentlemen have peace but disagree (君子和而不同); Flunkies agree but have no peace (小人同而不和)”, he didn’t understand its meaning and asked his mom. “It means gentlemen can live in harmony (和谐) with others even though sometimes they don’t agree with each other. That’s because they respect different ideas and they always tell their own ideas bravely. Flunkies agree easily, but they keep their own thoughts and don’t really work together,” his mom explained.

Fiona was a very popular girl at school. From an early age, she made an effort to be kind and friendly to everyone.
However, everything changed on International Day of Friendship. That day, everyone had to make three presents to give to their three best friends. But when all the presents had been shared out, she was the only one that didn’t receive a present! Fiona didn’t expect this and felt terrible, crying for hours. Everyone came to comfort her, but each stayed for only a short time—just as she did to others so many times.
She realized she was a good companion (伙伴), but she wasn’t a true friend to anyone. Although she had tried to be close to everyone, that wasn’t enough to create true friendships.
That night, Fiona told her mother about everything. Her mother said, “My dear, you cannot buy friends with a smile or a few good words. If you want true friends, you must give them time and real care.”
Hearing this, Fiona decided to change her ways to finally have some true friends. Then she thought about her mother, who was always ready to help her, put up with her bad behaviour, encouraged her and loved her deeply. That was what made a true friend!

Use paper with lines
When you write English words or sentences, you can use paper with lines. That will make your handwriting straight Those lines on the paper can help you write words in the right size. Be sure to fill the lined space completely And make sure these capital letters are written properly.
Slow down
If your writing is hard to read, just slow down a little Going slower makes your handwriting clearer. If you write too quickly, it’s hard for you to stop where you should, and you may make more mistakes easily.

Try to be relaxed and don’t hold the pencil so hard Let your writing appear nice and clean. If you do so, people will think you are a student with a good habit.
Draw more pictures

As we move further into the digital age, the human attention time is decreasing rapidly. We’re struggling to focus on single tasks for long periods of time. We are easy to get distract… oh, look at that dog We need an approach that makes information easier to pick up. Enter microlearning.
Microlearning is a way of gaining knowledge that breaks information into bite-sized pieces, typically five to ten minutes long. Actually, microlearning has been around for as long as human beings have been learning. However, the use of the term “microlearning” and its rise in popularity is a relatively new thing with the increased spread of the Internet and the popularization of e-learning. Microlearning is perfect for today’s learners because they’re always on the go. This means they can learn on their commute (通勤), lunch break and more.
The neuroscience (神经科学) behind microlearning partly explains why it works so well. It uses the cognitive skills learning system in our brain, the main system for learning skills and helping with short-term memory. The use of spaced repetition also plays a part. Research suggests we learn better when we study a little at a time, not all at once. It helps to fight against the Forgetting Curve, which suggests we forget 90% of the information we learn within a week. After all, each repetition provides a new opportunity to practice active recall. Think of those flashcards you made for an exam. You created small pieces of content and looked at them over and over again until they were input in your memory
With its bite-sized knowledge, microlearning allows you to learn at your own pace, offering more flexibility (灵活). Content can be tailored (裁剪) to meet your specific needs, preferences, and learning styles, allowing for personalized learning experiences. Also, it reduces stress, and increases productivity. When you have a lot of things to do, you may feel stressed. By breaking content down into short and easy units, it makes learning feel less challenging. Nice!
Microlearning may be small but it sure is great. It’s easy to find, quick to complete and super effective. What’s not to love?
1.What is microlearning?
2.Why is microlearning so effective according to neuroscience?
3.How does microlearning reduce stress?

Seahorses are small, thin fish with a long nose. They’re called “seahorses” because they look a bit like horses. Even though they’re fish, seahorses aren’t great swimmers. They often use their tails to hold onto something in the water.
There are over 40 different kinds of seahorses. They form an important part of the ocean’s food chain (链). However, many kinds of seahorses are threatened often by human activities. Sometimes they’re caught and sold as pets. They are also sometimes caught by accident when boats are trying to catch other fish.
In July 2023, Australian scientists released hundreds of baby White’s seahorses into the sea, which are mainly found near Sydney. In 2020, these seahorses were named the second most endangered seahorse in the world. That’s partly because of pollution, and partly because many of the homes where they normally live have been destroyed.
To carry out the project, the scientists first collected three pregnant (怀孕的) male seahorses last January. After the babies were born, the scientists kept them at the aquarium (水族箱) for five months to help them grow strong. About a month before the young seahorses were released, the scientists created eight underwater “hotels” for them to develop.
This is the fifth time that the scientists have released seahorses into the area. And this time was a record. Around 380 seahorses were released and about 90% of them are still living in the sea. They put tiny tags (追踪器) under the skin of many of the seahorses to help follow them in the future.

Summer in your country may not be the same as summer in other countries. Summer is different all around the world!
Summer happens at different times in different places. In the Northern Hemisphere, the half of the Earth above the equator (赤道), summer is in the months of June, July and August. But in the Southern hemisphere, the half of the Earth below the equator, summer happens in December, January and February. So when Chinese people are enjoying their summer wearing shorts and T-shirts, the Australians are having a cold time with heavy clothes on.
The time the sun rises and sets is different around the world, too. In places that are in the extreme north or south of the Earth (such as the North Pole), you can see the sun 24 hours a day during summer! This is called the ‘midnight sun because you can see the sun at midnight (even at 1:00 am) during the summer.
The weather can be different in summer as well. In countries with tropical climates, such as Thailand or Singapore, the weather in summer is very hot and humid with lots of rain. In countries like Spain, things are different. The temperature can be very high. It’s not surprising to be over 40℃. And there is little rain in Spain. But summer is not always hot. In some countries like Iceland, the average summer temperature is around 15℃.
Even the sounds of summer are different! In some countries such as China, you can hear the really loud buzzing sound of Cicadas (蝉) all summer long.
Summer traditions are also different all around the world. And in Mexico, people eat ice hollies called palates that can be made from fruits such as strawberry, mango and stuff. In Japan, people eat flavored shaved ice (刨冰) called Kakigori and cold noodles in the hot summer weather.
1.Does summer happen at different times in different places?

If you like unusual places, you should visit the Hebrides Islands. Not many people live on these islands in the northwest of Scotland. The land is not good for farming. It’s only good for keeping sheep. The winters are long, cold, and wet. It’s hard to make a living on the Hebrides, but for a visitor, these islands can be very special.
They’ re not for everyone, however. Even summer days are cool and often windy. The water is too cold for swimming. There are no forests, and there are only a few trees and green fields. Instead of fields, there are just rocks and small plants. The hills, too, are just piles of rocks. Sometimes the view looks like pictures of the moon.
But there is beauty in this place. From the beach, you can often see all the way to the rocky hills. From the hills, you can see far out to other islands and the open ocean. The colors, too, are special. Blue is everywhere. It’s in the sky and in the ocean. It is in the tiny flowers that grow on the hills. In spring there is also green in the hills. In summer and fall the hills are more purple. Often the air is soft and the weather is gray with clouds and rain.
On these islands, you can forget about the rest of the world. The evenings are quiet. The restaurants close early and there isn’t any nightlife. Visitors stay at a guest house. This is the best way to learn about life on the islands. The islanders are often friendly, and they like to talk.
If you want to meet islanders, you can also try the pubs (酒吧) or even the shops. People are in no hurry here. They like to chat about the weather or the fishing. There are also some tourist shops, but not many. They sell the usual tourist things. They also sell some beautiful clothes made of wool from the islands. Do not come to the Hebrides for shopping.
Imagine you are walking through deep snow. As you walk, you leave footprints where you’ve been. That’s what happens when you are using technology equipment (设备), such as computers and smartphones. You leave your digital footprint and it will never disappear.
Here are reasons why your digital footprint should matter to you.
How people see you
Of course, you have nothing to hide, but if people get information about you, they might judge you from the information you have left online. For example, you make a bad joke online. Years later, it’s found by the university you are applying to, and they don’t think it’s funny. Maybe they decide you are not the “right” kind of person for them.
Your private information
Not everything can be shared with everyone. For example, you might share your school reports with your parents, but keep them secret to your e-friends. If you share them on the internet, they will not be a secret any more. Therefore, to protect your privacy (隐私), remember to put out less information online.
Keep your money safe
There are plenty of people looking at information about you, and some of them want to steal it from you. So you shouldn’t write bank details, card numbers or passwords in emails or text messages.
In all the message is: No one can go online without leaving his digital footprint, but with care, you can control it.

Inside
Do not jump out of high buildings.
Hide under a table. Stay away from windows and heavy furniture. Keep clear of fires.
Leave the building quickly when the ground stops shaking, but do not use the lift.
Keep calm, especially when you are with other people. Be brave and be helpful.
Outside
Move away from buildings, because parts of a building may fall on you.
Do not stand near street lights or under power lines.
Stay away from bridges and trees. If you are in a bus or car, stay in it.
In the mountains, be careful of falling rocks.

题目数量:每篇 3-5 题,共 6-10 题,以 “细节题” 为主(占 70%),少量 “推理题” 和 “主旨题”;
提问方式:多为特殊疑问句(what/who/when/where/why/how/which),偶尔出现一般疑问句(需用 Yes/No 回答并补充理由);
信息提取能力:能否快速找到原文对应信息并提炼关键内容;
语言组织能力:能否用正确的语法结构(时态、句式)和词汇表达答案;
例:问题 1“When did the students hold the environmental protection activity?”→ 疑问词 when,核心词 “environmental protection activity”,答题方向是 “找活动时间”;
问题 2“Why should we protect wild animals?”→ 疑问词 why,核心词 “protect wild animals”,答题方向是 “找保护动物的原因”。
We organized a tree-planting activity on November 15th in the park near our school to protect the environment.”
问题 1“When did the students organize the activity?”→ 提炼要点 “on November 15th”;
问题 2“Where did they organize the activity?”→ 提炼要点 “in the park near our school”;
问题 3“Why did they organize the activity?”→ 提炼要点 “to protect the environment”。
特殊疑问句:直接回答核心信息,无需重复问题(如 what 提问直接说 “某事”,when 提问直接说 “时间”);
一般疑问句:先答 Yes/No,再用 because/so 补充理由(如 “Did you take part in the activity?”→ “Yes, I did. Because I wanted to protect the environment.”);
不照抄原文整句(需同义改写或概括,如原文 “spend two hours helping me” 可改为 “helped me for two hours”);
不遗漏关键信息(如问题问 “how many”,需明确回答数字,不能只说 “some”);
1. 事实细节题(what/who/when/where/which)
定位后直接提取核心信息,简洁回答(1-2 句话即可);
时间 / 地点 / 数字类答案:需准确无误,不能随意更改(如原文 “on March 5th” 不能答 “in March”);
找到原文中的原因句(含 because/so 的句子),用 “Because...” 或 “To...” 回答;
用 “By doing sth”“Through sth” 或 “First..., then...” 回答;
提取原文中的情感词或观点词,用 “主语 + think/feel+that 从句” 或 “主语 + be + 形容词” 回答;
After the ‘Green Campus’ program, our school became cleaner. All students felt proud of what we had done. We think it’s a meaningful activity.”
问题:How did the students feel about the “Green Campus” program?
答案:They felt proud of it. / They thought it was a meaningful activity.

Hearing this, Li Ming realized that having different ideas is not a bad thing. He began to change his ways. He started to express his own thoughts bravely. To his surprise, he found that their friendship became even stronger!
1.What did Li Ming use to be like?
2.Did Li Ming think students should be allowed to bring phones to school?
3.Why can gentlemen live in harmony though they disagree with each other?

Fiona smiled happily, realizing she already had the best friend anyone could ever want.
1.Why did Fiona feel terrible and cry?
2.What should you do if you want true friends?

This year’s art festival had a variety of activities, including a painting exhibition, a music concert, a drama performance and a photography competition. The painting exhibition displayed more than 200 works by students from different grades. These works covered various themes, such as nature, city life, traditional culture and personal growth. Many of the paintings were creative and expressive, showing the students’ imagination and artistic talent.
The music concert was held in the school hall on the third day of the festival. Students from the school’s music club performed a variety of musical works, including classical music, pop music and folk music. Some students played musical instruments like the piano, violin and guitar, while others sang songs. The audience was deeply impressed by their wonderful performances and gave them warm applause.
The drama performance was another highlight of the art festival. Students from the drama club put on three short plays, which were adapted from famous stories and real-life events. The actors and actresses performed vividly, and the plots were interesting and thought-provoking. Many students said that they learned a lot from the plays, such as the importance of friendship, courage and honesty.
The photography competition attracted a lot of participants. Students took photos of campus scenery, teachers and classmates, and submitted their works to the organizing committee. The winning photos were displayed on the school notice board, and the winners were awarded prizes. The photography competition not only encouraged students to discover beauty in daily life but also improved their photography skills.
In addition to these activities, the art festival also included a calligraphy exhibition and a handcraft competition. The calligraphy exhibition showed students’ calligraphy works in different styles, while the handcraft competition displayed various handcrafted works made by students, such as paper-cuts, origami and pottery.
The art festival was a great success. It provided students with a platform to show their talents and develop their interests. Now the students’ English handwriting gets worse and worse. That makes their teachers feel upset. Is your English handwriting beautiful? If not, the following steps may help you!
Hold your pencil right
When you hold your pencil in the right way, writing is much better. Some kids press down really hard when they write. That makes the handwriting bad. Try to be relaxed and don’t hold the pencil so hard Let your writing appear nice and clean. If you do so, people will think you are a student with a good habit.
Draw more pictures
Drawing can improve your handwriting While you are drawing pictures, you need to use the skills to control your pencil better Sometimes you have no chance to draw at school. Then you can practice at home.
Handwriting is very important. If you were a famous movie star or a well-known sports player, what do you do when your fans run up to you? Give them your autographs (亲笔签名), of course!

4.Would you like to use microlearning in your study? Why or why not (at least two reasons)?

DIY is quite popular in the UK. Lots of stores and supermarkets sell DIY things. TV programmes(节目)show people how to DIY.
English people like DIY. There is a saying in the UK—“An Englishman’s home is his castle”. Huge numbers of people spend their holiday making their homes beautiful “castles”. If there is anything that needs fixing around their homes, such as painting the walls or putting in a new shower, they will do the jobs themselves. They share DIY experience with their friends. More and more people find the joy of DIY. Sometimes people also DIY for saving money.
DIY can be difficult. There is a huge market(市场)for DIY furniture. People need to get together pieces of furniture with a few tools. However, people often find it not easy to build a piece of furniture because they can’t understand the instructions. Sometimes the instructions are very simple but the furniture itself is difficult to build. One thing is for sure, though they started most DIY projects with the best ideas, they may not finish many of them. DIY can also be dangerous. But many people don’t care about this warning(广告)and put themselves in danger.

What is DIY? Why do many people like it? Yang Chen works in Beijing. He enjoys his work but it is not easy for him to relax after work. One day when he saw many toy dogs in a toy shop, he had an idea. “Why not make them myself?” Then he began to make model planes, model ships and something else. He was interested in it because it brings him lots of fun and makes his life colorful. So what is DIY? Yes, it is making things with your own hands.
It may take much time, but some people now are known as DIYers—do-it-yourselfers, enjoy doing it very much. They enjoy it because it is fun. And they think it is a good way to protect the environment, too. It is a kind of green life. In fact, DIY is not a modern thing in China. It was once a way of life in the past. During the 1960s and 1970s, when there were not enough living necessities for people to live on, they had to use their own hands to do many things.
Times have changed and DIY also has different meanings.
1.What is DIY?
2.Why do DIYers enjoy doing DIY?
3.When did people in China have to use their own hands to do many things?

1.What does seahorses look like?
2.List two human activities that threaten seahorses.
3.Why did White seahorses become the second most endangered seahorse?
4.What does the fourth paragraph mainly talk about?
5.What does the underlined word “record” refer to?
The red panda looks like a cat, but fatter than a cat. Its ears are big and its tail is long. The red panda mainly lives in the Eastern Himalayas in places like China, Nepal and Bhutan. It belongs to the family Ailuridae According to DNA research results, the red panda is a close relative to the raccoon (浣熊), but it’s not closely related to the giant panda, which belongs to the bear family.
Red pandas are endangered (濒临灭绝的), according to experts in wildlife protection. The number of red pandas has gone down by half in the last twenty years. The biggest challenge for red pandas is that they’re losing their homes because humans are cutting down trees for wood. What’s worse, some people even catch red pandas to make clothes like hats with their special fur (皮毛).
There are some events around the world to protect red pandas, but they still need more help. To protect red pandas better, it’s important to draw more public attention to them. International Red Panda Day was set up for this season. It’s on the third Saturday of September every year.
There are many things we can do for red pandas. You can read a book or watch a video about these amazing animals, join in an International Red Panda Day activity near you, see red pandas at your local zoo and share articles and pictures about red pandas on social media.

My hometown is in a small city in the southwest of Guizhou. It is also called (称作) the Small Spring City. Why? Because it is quite warm all year round.
As we all know, there are four seasons in most places of our country in a year. But there are only three seasons in my hometown.
In spring, everything begins to come back to life. You can see flowers and green trees here and there.
In summer, the weather isn’t too hot. The highest temperature is about 28℃ and the lowest temperature is around 20℃. You can go swimming in the river or in a swimming pool.
In autumn, it is cool. Tree leaves begin to turn yellow in autumn.
You can hardly feel winter in my hometown. The weather is still quite warm like autumn in December and it is sunny most of the time in winter months. Of course , it can be a pity to see no snow here.
Do you enjoy the seasons in my hometown? Welcome to visit my hometown.

2.How long can you see the sun in a day in North Pole during summer?
3.What’s the weather like in summer in Spain?
4.Of all the countries in the passage, which do you want to spend your summer holiday in? Why? (Give two reasons.)

Come to walk in the clean, cool air. Enjoy the quiet beauty.

Stay away from bridges and trees. If you are in a bus or car, stay in it.
