As more and more people use AI to help with their work,we still aren't sure about the effect it has on
learning.
Toook into this, researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology asked 54 people aged 18to
39twrite three 20-minute essays. One group wrote all three essays with the help of a popular AI chatbot
天机器人).Another one used only the Internet for help, with AI responses deactivated(解除).And the third
one used no external sources at all.The essays were on moral or philosophical topics, like whether weneed to
help others in order to be truly happy,or whether books and movies can truly change people's lives.
Participants in the study wore headsets that recorded their brains'electrical activity while they wrote.
Those using the AI chatbot showed the lowest levels of brain connectivity in their brains, while those using
only the Internet had greater brain connectivity. Those using no external sources had the most connectivity.
After they had finished, the AI chatbot group was also the least able to quote sentences from their essays.
Eighteen participants were later called back to rewrite one of their essays. This time the groups were
switched-those who had used the AI chatbot before now had to write with no external sources, and those who
had previously used no external sources now could use the AI chatbot. It was found that all participants from
the noexternal-sources group could remember all the topics they had written about before. But only three of
those who had used the AI chatbot could remember all of their topics. And those who had used the AI chatbot
before still showed weaker brain connectivity even when they were writing without using any external sources.
The study has not been reviewed by peers. However, the researchers decided their work should be
published without any delay because of how important the findings may be for educationeven as AI proves to
be powerful aids in learning, they felt the results should be seen as soon as possible.
28.How was the study carried out?
A.Through random questions.
B.Through group comparison.
C.Through external observation.
D.Through individual interviews.
29.What was the focus of the research on the participants?
A.Their preferred essays.
B.Their educational background.
C.Their movie filming ability.
D.Their brain activity differences.
30.What effect did the Al chatbot have n the participants according to paragraph4?
,
A.It might improve their recall.
B.It might weaken their memory.
C.It might delete their external sources.
D.It might strengthen their brainiity.

precluding sounds and body language.
The researchers found that facial movements showed pet dogsfeelings abouttwothirds of the time Their
method had trouble, however, with dogs that looked less like wolves, which made upalmost all of the wrong
guesses.Wolves'expressions were correctly understood three out of four times.Pet dogs'looks can stop them
from showing signals with their ears and limit how much they can show their teeth.Fear was most often
mistaken for other feelings, especially joy-something especially important for people who don't know dogs
well."If you misread a dog's face when approaching it,you could get bitten,"Hobkirk says.
We still don't fully understand how dogs may use those expressions in ways that are not the same as those
of wolves. The study points out that dogs with limited facial expression seem to make up for it by using other
ways to communicate, such as making sounds to share feelings, suggesting the ultimate goal of enhancing
friendly interactions between people and dogs.
32.What does human breeding mean to dogs according to Hobkirk?
A.Limiting their facial expressions.
B.Weakening their ability to move.
C.Contributing to their wolf-like features.
D.Improving their capacity to show feelings.

第二节(满分25分)
参考范文:
Unexpectedly,Frank continued visiting the store during his week-long stay.He came
not just for noodles but to ask about other local snacks, sometimes showing me photos he'd
taken around the city. Our friendship became the highlight of my winter job.Following my
parents'advice,I brought Frank home for dinner one evening. My parents welcomed him
warmly in their limited but heartfelt English. The moment he smelled the aromas from our
kitchen,he immediately took out his camera."This is the real China I've been searching for,"
he exclaimed, carefully documenting my mother's prepared dishes.
When spring arrived,an email appeared with the subject "Thank you from England".
It was from Frank, who wrote the noodle experience was the most memorable part of his trip
and that the family dinner in China was the most delicious of his life.Attached were photos of
him making noodles for his own family back in England, with everyone smiling around the
table.Reading his message,I understood how a simple act of cultural exchanges could not
only warm a traveler's winter journey but also ultimately connect people across continents,
making our world feel smaller and more friendly.
