“What’s the weather like?”单元“Fuel up”部分,属于“人与自然”主题下的“天气与日常生活”子主题,与学生的生活密切相关。但是,就教学目标和内容而言,学生的主要困惑,除新的知识点外,一是缺乏主动关注并查询天气预报的经历和兴趣;二是缺乏亲身感知国外天气的机会;三是基于以上两点导致部分学生学习兴趣不高。围绕上述问题,在本教学案例中,教师充分利用AI技术的虚拟情境创设、人机互动体验、游戏制作等功能,在人工智能与英语基础教育融合方面提供了有益探索。现形成教学反思如下:
一、AI赋能教学亮点
1.制作互动游戏,激发学习兴趣。在导入环节,一是利用AI技术制作图文快闪游戏,使学生在趣味中复习询问和描述天气情况的英文表达;二是创设“取经团队”在火焰山求雨、灭火的情境,引导学生在闯关游戏中完成学习任务。导入部分的设计,充分调动了学生的参与热情,将枯燥的学习转化为生动的游戏任务,并潜移默化地将“不同地区不同天气”的主题进行启发和引导,结合跨学科(雨形成的过程)知识输出,实现了导入部分应有的知识铺垫与兴趣激发双重功能。
2.模拟天气预报,增强现实体验。在听力教学部分,利用AI技术制作了含有城市地标建筑、天气场景和适宜活动的城市风景动画,学生识图并回答问题串;在迁移应用环节,利用AI生成的虚拟演播室进行“全球天气播报”模拟活动,师生化身“气象员”,用英语播报天气。在这些环节中:AI技术生成的多模态素材弥补了学生缺乏国外天气感知的短板,虚拟播报体验增强了学习的沉浸感与趣味性;教师借AI技术搭建认知桥梁,使抽象的天气现象具象化,促进跨文化理解;学生在真实语境中运用语言,提升了表达意愿与准确度。
3.开展人机互动,拓宽国际视野。在迁移应用环节,教师设计的以视频通话为载体的人机互动任务,引导学生与AI模拟的国内外友人交流当地天气及生活,打破了教室“围墙”的束缚,实现跨时空互动。学生在真实交际中深化语言运用,同时通过对比中外天气差异,拓展了文化认知。
二、AI运用存在不足
教学实践表明,在英语学习中,人工智能的有效运用支持了学习的情境化、交互化与个性化,为小学英语课堂注入新动能,在课堂提质、教师减负、教学增效等方面起到积极作用。但是,就AI赋能方面,本节课仍存在较大的优化空间:
1.AI技术的介入一定程度上影响了师生间的互动。例如,在人机对话环节,AI虚拟人物和学生们在一定程度上都依赖预设指令,导致思维较为固化,师生间互动的即时性与情感交流等优势有所削弱。
2.AI技术的应用仍局限于单向输出与预设路径。目前,人工智能的人机对话功能仍以应答式交互为主,应用于语言教学,则显得缺乏基于学情的生动语言生成与灵活对话反馈,仅停留在“展示”与“体验”层面。
3.AI技术的运用受制于信息化硬件条件。语音教学是本节课的重难点内容,班级教学的情境下,教师很难准确把握每名学生的发音情况。因此,教师原本设计了利用AI技术实时识别和纠正功能,辅助语音教学。但是,由于课堂上无法保证师生人手一台语音输入设备,结合网络的稳定性等因素考略,该设计未能实现。
4.小学生对于现实世界和虚拟情境的辨识能力尚弱,容易产生认知混淆。教师在后续访谈中发现,在虚拟播报天气环节,个别学生误将AI生成的城市风光视为时下真实的天气场景,教师及时予以引导,帮助学生明确了虚实界限的认知。
三、教学反思
基于上述问题,我们需要清醒地认识到:教育的核心始终是人,任何技术只是辅助教学的工具,教师的思想、情感和价值观是AI技术无法替代的。好的AI融合一定是基于教学目标、基于学情、基于教学设计、基于对教育本质的深刻理解与尊重,唯有如此,技术才能真正服务于学生的成长、服务于教育的本质。因此,教师在设计AI融合下的教学时,应把握好技术使用的“度”,注重保留课堂中师生交流的温度与思维碰撞的深度,强化学生批判性思维的培养。同时,应加强对AI生成内容的审核和筛选,确保其符合教学目标与价值观要求,并引导学生辩证看待虚拟与现实的关系,提升信息甄别能力。基于此,本人下一步能力方向:
一是围绕学生核心素养,提升自身教学设计能力。进一步明确AI技术仅仅是一种辅助工具,要以学生发展为中心,精准设计教学的各个环节,让技术真正服务于思维启迪与素养生成。
二是服务教学效果提升,加强AI技术的理解与驾驭能力。加强理论研究和实际应用,深入探索AI技术在个性化学习支持、学情动态分析与教学反馈优化中的深层应用,避免冰冷的技术展示。
三是结合英语学习特点,加强学生数字素养培育。英语教学是跨文化教学,比较能力和辨别能力的培养尤为重要。除了文化的辨别外,在教学中也应融入虚拟与现实辨识、信息价值判断等内容,帮助学生在沉浸式学习中保持理性思考,提升认知能力与批判性思维。
四是推动硬件环境与技术支持的协同改进。积极争取资源,优化设备配置,保障AI技术常态化应用所需的硬件基础和网络条件,确保教学设计得以完整实施。
