American country music is also known as (被称为) western country music. It has a very long history. It comes from the folk songs of immigrants (移民) from Britain.

When cowboys visited their friends and families on holidays like Thanksgiving, they usually sang and played western country music.
In recent years, many musicians have made western country music a little different from the one in the past. These changes make the songs sound even better. Today singers such as Carth Brooks, Reba McEmtire, Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett, Eddie Rabbitt, LeAnn Rimes, Randy Travis and a group called Alabama are singing and playing in different styles. 阅读短文,根据要求完成下面各小题。
86.43 percent of Chinese college students enjoy bullet-screen comments (弹幕评论) when watching videos, as they like the interaction (互动) with others. 75.13 percent of them believe that these comments can bring them happiness.
China Youth Daily has done a survey on “Generation Z bullet-screen comment culture”. 11,976 college students across the country took part in it. Generation Z often refers to people who were born between 1996-2010.
The survey results showed that 61.34 percent of the students often choose to open the function (功能) of bullet-screen comments when watching videos. However, 38.66 percent choose not to; the main reason is that these comments may cover the pictures and make the experience bad.
Huang Xiaobei is one of the college students. She first saw bullet-screen comments when she was watching a movie called Tiny Times. “I couldn’t close the comments, so I had to watch them,” Huang said. However, after this experience, Huang Xiaobei has changed from “hating the comments, being bored of them” to “thinking it to be very interesting.”
According to the survey, 67.27 percent of the students regard bullet-screen comments as a way to express their views; 63.05 percent of them believe that the comments serve as a good supplement (补充) to the video, and 53.19 percent of them believe that bullet-screen comments help them find like-minded people all over the world.
So far, bullet-screen comments have become a way of interactive communication widely accepted by people and progressed from a simple tool to a special culture.

American country music is also known as (被称为) western country music. It has a very long history. It comes from the folk songs of immigrants (移民) from Britain.
Country music uses simple music and words to express everyday feelings such as loneliness love, and sadness. That is to say, country music describes life. It talks about friends and enemies, trucks and roads, farms and crops. People in many parts of the world like country music, because everyone can understand what the music is about.
Western country music became popular first among cowboys (牛仔) in the American western countryside. Cowboys had to take care of cows day and night. When they were alone with the cows, they often sang beautiful and peaceful songs to calm the animals and to overcome their own fear. In the south of America, many people added instruments from their homes, like bottles and spoons.
I liked doing chores when I was young. My mother started teaching us to cook when we were five or six. There was a reason for that. My father was at home for only two days a month, so my mother had to do everything. She had to grow crops (庄稼), feed the dog and her chickens and cook for us. When we were five or six years old, we all started to help our mother to do housework. My eldest sister Lora helped my mother reap (收割) crops on the farm. My second eldest sister Daisy did the laundry, and I cooked for the family. When my sisters finished their work, they both came to the kitchen to help me. I can still remember the tears in my mother’s eyes when she saw the first dishes we cooked. When I was seven, I went to school, but I still came home every day and cooked for the family.
They were not well-educated and so they sang about their daily life in very simple words. They played guitars, violins, and other instruments. In the south of America, many people added instruments from their homes, like bottles and spoons.
They have brought western country music more and more fans from all over the world.

China Youth Daily has done a survey on “Generation Z bullet-screen comment culture”. 11,976 college students across the country took part in it. Generation Z often refers to people who were born between 1996-2010.
