Starting to check your food miles is an important step to save the Earth. Food mile means how far your food travels before it reaches you. Starting to check your food miles is an important step to save the Earth. Food mile means how far your food travels before it reaches you. From farm to fork, a shorter distance will be better for your health and the Earth. Food miles are a very modern idea. In most of human history, people have eaten food grown locally.
