My best friend
My best friend is Li Hua. He studies at Sunshine Middle School. Li Hua, with his bright, smiling eyes, is a little taller than me. He’s a helpful person and often walks me through tricky math problems after class. Also, his funny jokes always make me laugh, that’s why I think he has a good sense of humour.

When we buy a house, we all want to have nice neighbours, because most of us think that it is helpful to live with some good neighbours. But what kind of neighbour is good? The answers are different from people to people. Here are my answers.
First, it is very important to respect(尊敬) each other. If our neighbour tries to know more about our life, how will we feel? He or she may also talk with others about our life. Do you want to live with him or her? The answer is “No”. We will feel very sad to have this kind of neighbour and move away quickly.
Second, a good neighbour is always ready to give us a helping hand when we need him or her. For example, if we are not at home, our good neighbour will watch our house for us.

Think about this: all the leaves in the forest have the same shape and size. How do you feel? You may feel that the forest is boring (无聊的), right? Luckily, nature is like a great artist. She gives leaves all kinds of shapes and sizes, making the forest a beautiful place. But do you know why leaves have such different shapes?
Leaves make food for trees. They get sunlight (阳光) and turn it into energy, just like how we eat food to grow strong and healthy. But different trees need different shapes of leaves to help them live better.
Some trees grow in dark places. And it is hard for the sunlight to get there. To help the trees catch all the sunlight around them, their leaves need to be big. Other trees grow in open places and the sun shines (照耀) all day there. Their leaves may be small and pointy (尖的) to keep them from getting too much sunlight.
