Teaching Procedures Further Preparation Step 1: Warm-up (5 minutes) 1. Greet the students and have a free talk about what different emergencies and natural disasters they know. 2. Show some pictures related to different emergencies and natural disasters and ask students to talk about them in English. Step 2: Vocabulary Review (5 minutes) Display a word cloud with the key vocabulary of this unit on the screen. Ask students to recall and say the words aloud. Step 3: Grammar Review (10 minutes) 1. Present some sentences using the past continuous tense(was/were+doing)and ask students to identify the usage of the past continuous tense. 2.
