可数名词和不可数名词
可数名词是可以计数的单个的物体、人、想法等的名称。
可数名词可以和a/ an以及数字连用:它们有复数形式。

1. 可数名词
大多数可数名词的复数形式变化可通过在其单数形式后加-s或
-es实现
规则 示例
一般情况下,名词后直接加-s shops, desks, bags
以字母s, x, ch, sh结尾的名词,直接加-es buses, boxes, watches, brushes
以辅音字母+y结尾的名词,变y为i,然后加-es babies, cities, stories
以字母o结尾的名词,直接加-es或-s tomatoes, heroes, radios, photos, zoos, pianos
以字母f/ fe结尾的名词,一般将f/ fe变成ves life- lives, knife- knives,
leaf- leaves
同时,还应注意一些不规则变化,如:man –men, woman – women, foot – feet, tooth –teeth, child – children等。
有些单词单复数同形,如:fish, deer, sheep, Cheese, Japanese等。
2. 不可数名词
不可数名词是通常不能看成单个个体的材料、液体等的名称。不可数名词通常不与a/ an连用,也不和数字连用,大部分是单数,没有复数形式。
water 水 不能说: a water, two waters
wool 羊毛 不能说: a wool, two wools
weather 天气 不能说: a weather, two weathers
基数词
表示数目或数量多少的词叫基数词
基本的基数词:
1到10 (one, two, three, four five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten)
11到19 (eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen)
20 (twenty), 30 (thirty), 40 (forty), 50 (fifty), 60 (sixty), 70 (seventy), 80 (eighty), 90 (ninety), 100 ( a / one hundred) 和
1,000 ( a/ one thousand)。
冠词不能单独使用,常用于名词的开头。
冠词有两种:定冠词the和不定冠词a/ an。
1. 表示双方都知道所指的内容,名词前用the。
e.g. Did you see the movie? 你看那部电影了吗?
Take the books to the classroom. 把这些书带到教室。
2. 表示其中一方不知道所指的内容,则单数可数名词前用a/ an,复数名词或不可数名词前用零冠词。
e.g. I have a lovely cat. 我有一只可爱的猫。
She is afraid of tigers. 她害怕老虎。

一般情况下,可数名词直接加s pen-pens, textbook-textbooks
