B I had been up since 4 a.m., running 27 miles in the dark for an upcoming marathon. After completing my run in just over four hours, I jumped into my car, heading to the health club for my regular workout. I made it almost through my kickboxing class before passing out. A friend carried me downstairs, and I lay down on the long sofa. I stayed like that until I could sit up without the room spinning (旋转). Even then, I tried to head to the weight room, but my friend insisted that I go home, packing me into my car with a serious look. Back home, I showered, changed into workout clothes, and headed back to the car — only to find my keys missing. My husband was holding them. “You have a problem,” he said. As he walked away, I cried. If I had the keys, I’d still have gone back to the health club. I was just 30 years old, yet I had the bone density (密度) of a 60-year-old. Due to over-exercising and under-eating, I had more stress fractures (骨折) in my legs and feet. My hair was falling out. I was underweight. I couldn’t sleep. I was feeling cold all the time. My blood pressure was very low. In short, my body was no longer able to properly keep the most basic functions. Then, I started treatment. The first rule of my treatment program was zero exercise. I wasn’t even allowed to walk around the block. I went from exercising for hours every day to nothing. It was the most difficult time I had ever experienced. Today I walk a fine line: I still exercise every day, but I limit it to no more than 2 hours. I have regular checkups at the doctor, and keep good physical and mental health. Now my goal is to educate others. 4. Why did the writer try to go back to the club from home? A. Because she had a passion for keeping fit. B. Because she had an exercise addiction. C. Because she had a fear of aging. D. Because she had a desire to lose weight. 5. What is paragraph 4 mainly about? A. Ways to slow down aging. B. Common signs of aging. C. The importance of workout. D. Heavy price of over-exercising. 6. What was the writer’s treatment course like? A. Easy. B. Relaxed. C. Challenging. D. Encouraging. 7. What lesson can we learn from the text? A. Don’t overdo your workout. B. Daily exercise is important. C. Regular checkups are necessary. D. Zero exercise is the best health secret. C When people think of skiing (滑雪), they usually imagine snowy mountains like the Alps or the Rockies. But in Copenhagen, Denmark, there’s a surprising place to ski — the top of a power station! This special power station is called the Amager Resource Center. On top of the building is CopenHill, a man-made mountain with a nearly 1,500-foot ski slope (斜坡), four ski lifts, a hiking line, a restaurant, a kids’ area, and more. If those weren’t mind-boggling enough, adventurers could climb the side of the mountain through the world’s highest climbing wall, which is 278 feet tall. “As a flat country there are no hills or mountains in Denmark suitable for adventure sports like skiing. So we got the idea of building a man-made mountain,” said Bjarke Ingels, founder of BIG, the company behind the CopenHill project. To serve the purpose of a mountain, CopenHill has its slope covered with Neveplast, a green plastic that feels similar to snow. It takes about three runs to get used to skiing on it, and skiers are advised to wear long clothes and hard hats in case they fall. Denmark is a world leader in clean energy. The power station is part of the system by turning non-recyclable (不可回收的) waste into energy, providing heat and electricity for tens of thousands of families. For the design of the project, Ingels turned a decades-old building into a new structure (建筑物) that could be mixed into the city. The result was something that could not only change about 450,000 tons of non-recyclable waste into energy every year, but also attract tourists and locals looking for skiing fun. “A power station doesn’t have to be an ugly box that influences views or goes against its neighboring buildings. It can be the most popular park in the city,” said Ingels. After years of making, CopenHill finally opened in 2019. The design has been named one of the year’s 50 best inventions. This project is showing the world that clean tech presents almost endless possibilities. 8. What does the underlined word “mind-boggling” probably mean in paragraph 2? A. Amazing. B. Strange. C. Costly. D. Common. 9. Why was the idea of CopenHill introduced? A. To deal with plastic pollution. B. To make skiing safer for visitors. C. To improve the nation’s transportation. D. To create mountain sports experiences. 10. What is special about the design of the project? A. Taking practical advice from tourists. B. Valuing the use of traditional materials. C. Bringing eco-friendliness and relaxation. D. Offering education on new energy technology. 11. What does Ingels stress about the power station in the last paragraph? A. It has been built on great inventions. B. It forms an attractive part of the city. C. It has received mixed opinions. D. It takes up little public space. D Sugar-free cookies, sugar-free candy, and diet soda—are these better for you? After sugar became a no-no in the nutrition and wellness world, sugar-free food and drinks acted as a replacement for once beloved sweet drinks and snacks. Being claimed to be ZERO sugar means the food and drinks are healthier, better for diabetics, and help you slim down ... Right? Wrong. Sugar-free products aren’t better for you. In fact, they are worse. For most sugar-free products, it means that artificial sweeteners (甜味剂) are used instead of real sugar. The problem is that these sweeteners do not come from natural soures and they can do you more harm than good. Let’s get into what these artificial sweeteners actually are. Sugar-free sugar sounds wrong because there is no such thing as sugar-free sugar. Some of these sugar-free alternatives even contain sugar and the ones that have chemicals your body often does not know how to process. Most artificial sweeteners are a lot sweeter than sugar so only a small quantity of them are needed. That’s why they can market sugar-free alternatives as “low-calorie” or “no-calorie’. It also means that you get no nutritional value from consuming them, which is why so many sugar-free replacements are classified as “non-nutritive”. These artificial sweeteners tend to hide under some names. Actually, they are 200-600 times sweeter than sugar. When you eat sweet stuff, your body continues to desire it and, even though your body cannot metabolize (代谢) these sugar-free alternatives, your brain does not know the difference. In turn sugar-free alternatives relate to weight gain and Type-2 diabetes. Besides, artificial sweeteners also damage your gut’s ability to break down sugar which impacts everything you eat. In other words, your body doesn’t know how to handle artificial sweeteners because they have nothing real to process. Here is a good rule of thumb: stay away from artificial sweeteners and look for non-sugar, natural sweeteners like stevia (甜叶菊) or date sugar. In the war against artificial sweeteners and real sugar, both lose. Satisfy your sweet tooth with natural sugar that comes from fruits and stay away from products claimed to be sugar-free. 12. What do most sugar-free products have in common? A. They don’t taste sweet. B. They are free of calories. C. They are rich in nutrition. D. They have artificial sweeteners. 13. What can be inferred about artificial sweeteners? A. They are as sweet as sugar. B. They pose a big risk to health. C. They can be metabolized easily D. They have long been added to food. 14. What does the author advise us to do? A To keep a balanced diet. B. To stay away from sugary products. C. To choose fewer artificial ingredients. D. To take in sugar from natural sources 15. Which of the following can be the best title for the text? A. Why are sugar-free products bad for your health? B. How will sugar-free products affect your body? C. What can be called sugar-free products? D. Why are sugar-free products popular? 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Crows (乌鸦) are not the most beautiful bird. Each day, I would go to a nearby high school, where I was to finish my student teaching requirement. I drove there and back in a 20-year-old car, which was old and not in good shape on the outside. Its engine made a lot of noise and sometimes had problems. This car had broken down many times on my way. But it was the only car I could depend on for my transportation. One day as I drove on the highway, the ancient car made a lot of noise under the stress of the trip again. I felt much nervous, worrying it could stop working at any time. But I still kept going forward, hoping in my heart that the car would make it through just one more day. Suddenly, I saw something on the other side of the road. A car was stopped by the side, with a flat tire (轮胎). Next to it was an old lady, looking worried and lost. She seemed lost, not knowing what to do. I really wanted to offer some help to the old lady who stood by the road alone. I knew that stopping would make me late for my classes, but I couldn't ignore (忽视) the pain in her eyes. As a result, I decided to go back and help her, driven by a deep belief in the goodness of people. I turned at the next exit, ready to go back and offer my help. When I got there, I was surprised to see that two pick-up trucks were already there. One man, wearing a shirt, was lifting the car with a jack (千斤顶), while another big man was comforting the old lady by the road, holding her hand as if he were her grandson. 注意: 1.续写词数应为150左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 I slowed down, pulled up, and asked if I could help. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ As I drove on, I noticed a smile on my face. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ “皖南八校”2025-2026学年高一第一学期期中考试 英语 考生注意: 1. 1. 【答案】4. B 5. D 6. C 7. A 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇记叙文。文章主要讲述了作者因过度锻炼和饮食不足导致健康受损,经过治疗后开始调整锻炼方式并教育他人注意健康的故事。 【4题详解】 推理判断题。根据第三段中“Back home, I showered, changed into workout clothes, and headed back to the car —only to find my keys missing. My husband was holding them. “You have a problem,” he said. As he walked away, I cried. If I had the keys, I’d still have gone back to the health club.(回到家后,我冲了个澡,换上运动服,正要回到车里——却发现钥匙不见了。我丈夫拿着钥匙。“你有点不对劲,”他说道。说完他便走开了,我哭了起来。如果我有钥匙的话,我还是会回到健身俱乐部)”以及第四段的“Due to over-exercising and under-eating, I had more stress fractures (骨折) in my legs and feet. My hair was falling out. I was underweight.(由于过度锻炼和饮食摄入不足,我的腿和脚出现了更多应力性骨折。我开始脱发,体重也低于正常水平)”可推知,作者不顾身体不适仍执意返回健身俱乐部,是因为有锻炼成瘾的问题。故选B。 【5题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第四段中“I was just 30 years old, yet I had the bone density (密度) of a 60-year-old. Due to over-exercising and under-eating, I had more stress fractures (骨折) in my legs and feet. My hair was falling out. I was underweight. I couldn’t sleep. I was feeling cold all the time. My blood pressure was very low. In short, my body was no longer able to properly keep the most basic functions.(我当时只有30岁,但骨密度却如同60岁老人一般。由于过度锻炼和饮食摄入不足,我的腿和脚出现了更多应力性骨折。我开始脱发,体重也低于正常水平。我睡不着觉,一直感到寒冷,血压也非常低。简而言之,我的身体已无法正常维持最基本的生理功能)”可知,该段主要讲述了过度锻炼给作者身体带来的严重伤害,即过度锻炼的沉重代价。故选D。 【6题详解】 细节理解题。根据第五段中“Then, I started treatment. The first rule of my treatment program was zero exercise. I wasn't even allowed to walk around the block. I went from exercising for hours every day to nothing. It was the most difficult time I had ever experienced.(随后,我开始了治疗。 A。 C When people think of skiing (滑雪), they usually imagine snowy mountains like the Alps or the Rockies. “As a flat country, there are no hills or mountains in Denmark suitable for adventure sports like skiing. 【答案】8. A 9. D 10. C 11. B 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇新闻报道。文章介绍了丹麦哥本哈根的阿迈厄岛资源中心(Amager Resource Center)顶部的CopenHill项目,这座人造山不仅提供了滑雪等冒险运动场所,还兼具环保功能,展示了清洁技术的无限可能。 【8题详解】 词句猜测题。根据第二段中“On top of the building is CopenHill, a man-made mountain with a nearly 1,500-foot ski slope (斜坡), four ski lifts, a hiking line, a restaurant, a kids’ area, and more. If those weren’t mind-boggling enough, adventurers could climb the side of the mountain through the world’s highest climbing wall, which is 278 feet tall. 故选A项。 【9题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段中““As a flat country, there are no hills or mountains in Denmark suitable for adventure sports like skiing. So we got the idea of building a man-made mountain,” said Bjarke Ingels, founder of BIG, the company behind the CopenHill project. (“丹麦地势平坦,全国没有适合开展滑雪等冒险运动的丘陵山脉。因此我们萌生了建造人造山的想法,”CopenHill项目承建公司BIG的创始人比亚克·英格斯说道。)”可知,引入CopenHill的想法是为了创造山地运动体验,弥补丹麦自然地形不足的问题。故选D项。 【10题详解】 细节理解题。根据第四段中“For the design of the project, Ingels turned a decades-old building into a new structure (建筑物) that could be mixed into the city. The result was something that could not only change about 450,000 tons of non-recyclable waste into energy every year, but also attract tourists and locals looking for skiing fun. (在项目设计过程中,Ingels将一座已有数十年历史的老旧建筑改造成能与城市融为一体的新结构。最终建成的设施不仅每年能将约45万吨不可回收垃圾转化为能源,还吸引了众多寻求滑雪乐趣的游客和当地居民。)”可知,该项目的特别之处在于其设计结合了环保(将不可回收废物转化为能源)和休闲娱乐(提供滑雪等冒险运动场所)的功能。故选C项。 【11题详解】 细节理解题。根据最后一段中Ingels所说的话“A power station doesn’t have to be an ugly box that influences views or goes against its neighboring buildings. It can be the most popular park in the city (发电站不一定是一个影响视野或与邻近建筑格格不入的丑陋盒子。它可以成为这个城市最受欢迎的公园)”可知,Ingels强调发电站并非仅仅是功能性的设施,也可以成为这个城市最受欢迎的公园,成为城市中具有吸引力的部分。故选B项。 D Sugar-free cookies, sugar-free candy, and diet soda—are these better for you? A. To keep a balanced diet. 【答案】12. D 13. B 14. D 15. A 【解析】 【导语】这是一篇说明文。如今市场上充斥着各种“无糖食品”和“无糖饮料”,但实际上存在更大的健康隐患。文章说明了人造甜味剂的危害以及建议远离人工甜味剂,寻找无糖的天然甜味剂, 【12题详解】 细节理解题。根据第一段中“For most sugar-free products, it means that artificial sweeteners (甜味剂) are used instead of real sugar.(对于大多数无糖产品来说,这意味着使用人工甜味剂来代替真正的糖)”可知,“无糖产品”通常含有人工甜味剂。故选D。 【13题详解】 推理判断题。根据倒数第二段中“In turn sugai-free alternatives relate to weight gain and Type-2 diabetes. Besides, artificial sweeteners also damage your gut’s ability to break down sugar which impacts everything you eat. (反过来,无糖替代品与体重增加和2型糖尿病有关。此外,人造甜味剂还会损害肠道分解糖的能力,这会影响你吃的所有东西)”可知,这些所谓的“无糖产品”中含有的人工甜味剂会导致肥胖和糖尿病,还会损害肠道分解糖的能力,因此是更大的健康隐患。故选B。 【14题详解】 细节理解题。根据最后一段中“Here is a good rule of thumb: stay away from artificial sweeteners and look for non-sugar, natural sweeteners like stevia (甜叶菊) or date sugar.(这里有一个很好的经验法则:远离人工甜味剂,寻找无糖的天然甜味剂,如甜菊糖或枣糖)”可知,作者建议摄取自然的糖分——比如来自水果的糖。故选D。 【15题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第一段“Sugar-free products aren’t better for you. In fact, they are worse. For most sugar-free products, it means that artificial sweeteners (甜味剂) are used instead of real sugar. The problem is that these sweeteners do not come from natural sourees and they can do you more harm than good.(无糖产品并不对你更好。事实上,他们更糟糕。对于大多数无糖产品来说,这意味着使用人工甜味剂来代替真正的糖。问题是这些甜味剂不是来自天然来源,它们对你的危害大于好处)”结合下文具体介绍无糖产品实际更甜,并且对身体对糖的代谢有影响可知,A选项“为什么无糖产品对你的健康有害?”最符合文章标题。故选A。 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Crows (乌鸦) are not the most beautiful bird. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 I slowed down, pulled up, and asked if I could help. The lady, her eyes filled with gratitude, replied, “No thanks, dear. These wonderful gentlemen are taking care of it.” The two men raised their heads, smiled at me and went on with their work. Noticing the two strangers busy helping the old lady, I waved goodbye and drove back for my lessons at the school, feeling proud of the kindness of strangers. As I drove on, I noticed a smile on my face. I felt happy and excited that there are still so many good people in the world, willing to lend a helping hand for those in need of help without expecting anything in return. At that very moment, I seemed to understand that faith is not just about what you believe; it’s about what you do. It is the small acts of kindness that we show the true meaning of faith and love. 笑:smile/ crack a smile/ grin ③.展示:show/ display/ exhibit 情绪类 ①.感激:gratitude/ appreciation ②.开心的:wild with joy/ delighted/ pleased 【点睛】[高分句型1].
