辨析except, besides, but与except for
Another example is that you're not supposed to eat anything with your
hands except bread, not even fruit. 另外一个例子就是,除了面包以外你

词(组) 含义及用法
except 意为“除……之外,把……排除在外”。强调被排除的部分
不包括在内,except后的词是被排除的部分。
besides 意为“除……外,还有……”。强调被排除的部分也包括在
内,besides后的词是增加的部分。

but 意为“除……之外,什么也没有”。but后的词是仅有或存在
的内容,常与nobody, none, nothing, all, everything等词连
用。
except for 意为“除……之外”。表示对整体的肯定和对局部的否定,
起部分修正作用。
