A less devoted teacher might have pressed for more details, but Miss Price was content with the rough outline. It was enough to fill her with a sense of mission that shone from her eyes, from the first morning he joined the fourth grade. He arrived early and sat in the back row, his backbone very straight, his ankles crossed precisely under the desk and his hands folded on the center of its top, and while the other children were filling in, he received a long, expressionless stare from each of them. “We have a new classmate this morning,” Miss Price said, “His name is Vincent Sabella, and he comes from New York City. I know we’ll all do our best to make him feel at home.” This time they all swung around to stare at once, which caused him to duck his head slightly and shift his weight from one side to the other. Ordinarily, the fact of someone’s coming from New York might have held a certain status, for to most of the children the city was a frightening, adult place that swallowed up their fathers every day. But anyone could see at a glance that Vincent Sabella had nothing to do with it. Even if you could ignore his twisted black hair and gray skin, his clothes would have given him away: ridiculously new pants, ridiculously old sports shoes and a yellow sweatshirt, much too small, with the faded remains of a Mickey Mouse design stamped on its chest. The girls decided that he wasn’t very nice and turned away, but the boys remained in their inspection, looking him up and down with faint smiles. This was the kind of kid they were accustomed to thinking of as “tough,” the kind whose stare has made all of them uncomfortable at one time or another in unfamiliar neighborhoods; here was a unique chance for revenge. 36. What can you learn about Miss Price and Vincent from the first two paragraphs? A. Since nobody had ever seen Vincent’s parents, he now lived all by himself. B. Miss Price knew Vincent so well that she’d like to focus every bit of attention on him. C. Miss Price didn’t know much about Vincent, but that didn’t stop her wanting to care about him. D. Vincent sat in the back row so as not to arouse any unnecessary attention caused by his late arrival. 37. Why does the author mention “New York” in the third and the fourth paragraphs? A. To illustrate Vincent’s distant origin. B. To demonstrate children’s desire to go to see their fathers. C. To emphasize Vincent’s low social status from his shabby clothes. D. To state a certain distinction between Vincent and people’s imagination. 38. Which of the following words can best describe Vincent? A. Devoted but shy. B. Nervous and uneasy. C. Untalkative and tough. D. Sensitive but unfortunate. 39. What can you infer from the text about Vincent’s new classmates? A. They were either unconcerned or unfriendly toward him. B. They used to consider people like Vincent to be very tough. C. They barely noticed the new boy sitting in the back of the classroom. D. They were very curious about the newcomer in a kind and considerate manner. 36. C 37. D 38. B 39. According to some of the media accounts and press releases, OpenAI’s DALL-E2 can seemingly create spectacular images from any text; and a system called Gato that was released in May by DeepMind, reportedly worked well on every task the company could throw at it. One of the DeepMind’s high-level executives even went so far as to boast that in pursuing AI that has the flexibility and resourcefulness of human intelligence—known as artificial general intelligence, or AGI—“the game is over.” Don’t be fooled. AI is getting better-synthetic images look more and more realistic, and speech recognition can often work in noisy environments-but we are still likely decades away from general-purpose, human-level AI that can understand the true meanings of articles and videos or deal with unexpected barriers and interruptions. The field is stuck on precisely the same challenges that academic scientists have been pointing out for years: getting AI to be reliable and getting it to cope with unusual circumstances. Take DALL-E2. It couldn’t tell the difference between an image of a red cube on top of a blue versus an image of a blue cube on top of a red cube. A newer system, released this past May, couldn’t tell the difference between an astronaut riding a horse and horse riding an astronaut. When image-creating systems like DALL-E2 make mistakes, the result can be amusing. But sometimes errors produced by AI cause serious consequences. A Tesla on autopilot recently drove directly toward a human worker carrying a stop sign in the middle of the road, slowing down only when the human driver took action. The system could recognize humans on their own and stop signs in their usual locations but failed to slow down when faced with the unfamiliar combination of the two, which put the stop sign in a new and unusual position. Unfortunately, the fact that these systems still fail to work reliably and struggle with novel circumstances is usually buried in the fine print. Gato, for instance, worked well on all the tasks DeepMind reported but rarely as well as other contemporary systems. A look at recent headlines, however, wouldn’t tell you about any of these problems. For now we are trapped in a “local minimum” in which companies pursue benchmarks rather than foundational ideas. Current engineering practice is far ahead of scientific skills: these departments focus on making small improvements with the poorly understood tools they already have rather than developing new technologies with a clearer theoretical ground. This is why basic research remains crucial. That a large part of the AI research community (like those who shout, “Game over”) doesn’t even see that is, well, heartbreaking. 43. What does the DeepMind’s executive mean by “the game is over” (paragraph 1)? A. AGI is quite a frustrating area. B. There has been great progress in AGI. C. No more investment should be put into AGI. D. Technology companies has put too much emphasis on AGI. 44. The Tesla on autopilot is mentioned in paragraph 5 in order to illustrate that ________. A. consequences caused by AI can be amusing B. AI is reliable in handling familiar situations C. Tesla cars are not a good example of autopilot D. AI cannot deal well with unexpected circumstances 45. It can be inferred from the passage that the writer thinks that ________. A. more light should be cast on successful AI companies B. more specific training programmes should be created for AI C. more fundamental technologies should be developed for AI D. more reliable benchmarks should be established for AI products 46. Which of the following statements best summarizes the writer’s viewpoint? A. Media should talk less about AI. B. It is too early to be confident of AI. C. Human-level AI will soon be a fact of life. D. AI practice falls far behind related theories. B 44. D 45. C 46. 根据文章第一段“One of the DeepMind’s high-level executives even went so far as to boast that in pursuing AI that has the flexibility and resourcefulness of human intelligence—known as artificial general intelligence, or AGI—“the game is over.”(DeepMind的一位高层管理人员甚至大放厥词,声称在追求具有人类智能的灵活性和足智多谋的人工智能——即通用人工智能(AGI)方面,“大局已定”。)”可知,DeepMind的高管在谈到通用人工智能(AGI)时表示“the game is over”,并且前文提到OpenAI的DALL-E2和DeepMind的Gato系统似乎都取得了显著成果。 根据文章第五段“A Tesla on autopilot recently drove directly toward a human worker carrying a stop sign in the middle of the road, slowing down only when the human driver took action. The system could recognize humans on their own and stop signs in their usual locations but failed to slow down when faced with the unfamiliar combination of the two, which put the stop sign in a new and unusual position.(一辆处于自动驾驶模式的特斯拉汽车最近直接向道路中间手持停车标志的工作人员驶去,直到人类驾驶员采取行动才减速。 根据文章最后一段“For now we are trapped in a “local minimum” in which companies pursue benchmarks rather than foundational ideas. Current engineering practice is far ahead of scientific skills: these departments focus on making small improvements with the poorly understood tools they already have rather than developing new technologies with a clearer theoretical ground. This is why basic research remains crucial. That a large part of the AI research community (like those who shout, “Game over”) doesn’t even see that is, well, heartbreaking.(目前,我们陷入了一个“局部最小值”的困境,企业追求基准测试,而不是基础理念。当前的工程技术实践远远领先于科学技能:这些部门专注于利用他们已掌握的、理解程度不高的工具进行小幅改进,而不是开发具有更明确理论基础的新技术。这就是为什么基础研究仍然至关重要。而人工智能研究界的一大部分人(如那些高呼“大局已定”的人)甚至没有意识到这一点,这着实令人心碎。)”可知,作者认为基础研究非常重要,应该为为人工智能开发更多的基础技术。故选C。 【46题详解】 推理判断题。根据文章第一段“According to some of the media accounts and press releases, OpenAI’s DALL-E2 can seemingly create spectacular images from any text; and a system called Gato that was released in May by DeepMind, reportedly worked well on every task the company could throw at it. By the age of seven months, most children have learned that objects still exist even when they are out of sight. Put a toy under a blanket and a child that old will know it is still there, and that he can reach underneath the blanket to get it back. ______47______ It is also something that self-driving cars do not have. And that is a problem. Autonomous vehicles are getting better, but they still don't understand the world in the way that a human being does. For a self-driving car, a bicycle that is momentarily hidden by a passing van is a bicycle that has ceased to exist. This failing is basic to the now-widespread computing discipline that has claimed to be the slightly misleading name of artificial intelligence(AI). Current Al works by building up complex statistical models of the world, but it lacks a deeper understanding of reality. ______48______ Modern AI is based on the idea of machine learning. If an engineer wants a computer to recognize a stop sign, he does not try to write thousands of lines of code that describe every pattern of pixels(像素)which could possibly indicate such a sign. ______49______ Over many repetitions, the program gradually works out what features all of these pictures have in common. ______50______ Cars thus learn how to obey lane markings, avoid other vehicles, hit the brakes at a red light and so on. But they do not understand many things a human driver takes for granted—that other cars on the road have engines and four wheels, or that they obey traffic regulations(usually)and the laws of physics(always). And they do not understand object permanence. A. Instead, he writes a program that can learn for itself, and then shows that program thousands of pictures of stop signs. B. The high-tech vision system has the potential to be more successful than humans in detecting dangerous situations C. How to give AI at least some appearance of that understanding—the reasoning ability of a seven-month-old child, perhaps—is now a matter of active research D. Programmers have developed procedures that behave like the neurons(神经元) in a brain. They can "learn" from the actions taken in previous situations and infer what to do in a new, similar situation. E. This understanding of "object permanence", is a normal developmental milestone, as well as a basic principle of reality. F. Similar techniques are used to train self-driving cars to operate in traffic. 【答案】47. E 48. C 49. A 50. F 【解析】 【分析】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要介绍了通过人工智能技术运用到自动驾驶的汽车中,它比七个月的婴儿还聪明。 【47题详解】 根据前文“By the age of seven months, most children have learned that objects still exist even when they are out of sight. Put a toy under a blanket and a child that old will know it is still there, and that he can reach underneath the blanket to get it back.(到七个月大的时候,大多数孩子已经知道,物体即使在视线之外也仍然存在。在毯子下面放一个玩具,这个年龄的孩子就会知道它还在那里,他可以伸手到毯子下面把玩具拿回来。)”可知,七个月的婴儿就知道客体永久性。可知,选项承接上文说明解释“客体永久性”的理解的意义是什么。所以选择项E“This understanding of "object permanence", is a normal developmental milestone, as well as a basic principle of reality.(这种对“客体永久性”的理解,是一个正常的发展里程碑,也是现实的一个基本原则。)”符合上下文语境。故选E。 【48题详解】 根据前文“This failing is basic to the now-widespread computing discipline that has claimed to be the slightly misleading name of artificial intelligence(AI). Current Al works by building up complex statistical models of the world, but it lacks a deeper understanding of reality. (这一错误是如今普遍存在的计算学科的基础,该学科自诩为人工智能(AI),这个绰号有点让人误解。目前的人工智能是通过建立复杂的世 界统计模型来工作的,但它缺乏对现实的更深层次的理解。)”可知,选项承接上文说明基于人工智能缺乏对现实的更深层次的理解,所以人们正在研究此课题。所以选择项C“How to give AI at least some appearance of that understanding—the reasoning ability of a seven-month-old child, perhaps—is now a matter of active research. (如何让人工智能至少具备一些类似的理解能力,比如一个7个月大的孩子的推理能力,也许现在是一个活跃的研究课题。)”符合上下文语境。故选C。 【49题详解】 根据前句“If an engineer wants a computer to recognize a stop sign, he does not try to write thousands of lines of code that describe every pattern of pixels(像素)which could possibly indicate such a sign. (如果一名工程师想让计算机识别停车标志,他不会尝试编写数千行代码来描述可能表示这一标志的每一个像素模式。)”可知,后文陈述工程师如何编写此程序。所以选择项A“Instead, he writes a program that can learn for itself, and then shows that program thousands of pictures of stop signs. (相反,他编写了一个可以自己学习的程序,然后向该程序展示了数千张停止标志的图片。)”符合上下文语境。故选A。 【50题详解】 根据上文“Over many repetitions, the program gradually works out what features all of these pictures have in common. (经过多次重复,程序逐渐找出所有这些图片的共同特征。)”和后句“Cars thus learn how to obey lane markings, avoid other vehicles, hit the brakes at a red light and so on.(汽车因此学会遵守车道标记,避开其他车辆,在红灯时刹车等等。)”可知,这种自学的程序的技术可以应用于汽车中。所以选择项F“Similar techniques are used to train self-driving cars to operate in traffic. (类似的技术也被用于训练在道路上运行的无人驾驶汽车)”符合上下文语境。故选F。 51. Directions: Read the following passage. Summarize the main idea and the main point(s) of the passage in no more than 60 words. Use your own words as far as possible. Fatigue Fatigue is a feeling of being extremely tired. Basically, there are three types of fatigue, physical, pathological (由疾病引起的), and psychological. As you might suspect, each differs significantly from the others. When you exercise your body, you produce waste products. Muscles, for example, release lactic acid (乳酸) into the blood; cells dump in carbon dioxide. When these wastes reach a certain level in the blood, the brain is informed and your activity level drops. Excess wastes in the muscles may produce soreness. The solution to this type of fatigue is simple — rest. That should refresh you; if it doesn’t, another cause should be sought. Have you ever become involved in so many activities that you had to be in two places at once? This is what happens when your body has a disease. The cells are overused and cannot keep up with both fighting the disease and keeping you active. The result is fatigue. Some communicable diseases like the flu and colds are “well” known for draining your energy. Other non-communicable diseases, like anemia (贫血), drain you because you are lacking an important body ingredient. Being overweight can cause pathological fatigue. It should be obvious that this type of fatigue is not going to go away without treatment. In a way, pathological fatigue is a lifesaver. It lets you know something is wrong and that you need rest. Here is the most common type of fatigue. Almost everybody experiences it now and then. Often, the cause is an emotional war you are having with yourself or those around you. Some of these familiar factors can bring on psychological fatigue: worries, stress, lack of exercise, boredom, depression. If you know someone with psychological fatigue, would you advise him to rest? No way! That might be fine for our other types of fatigue, but for this one, it’s deadly. If you are ever going to be able to cope with stress, depression, or worry, you need oxygen in your cells and a more optimistic attitude. Get out of the chair and do something! Believe it or not, many people throw themselves into physical labor like cleaning to “de-fatigue” themselves. If you find yourself in a particularly stressful situation that you can’t physically escape, escape mentally. When fatigue continues, maybe you need to get to the root of the problem. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】One possible version: Three kinds of fatigue exist. They are caused by different reasons and should be relieved with different methods. Exercise causes physical fatigue, which simple rest can eliminate. Pathological fatigue can be caused by diseases or overweight and should be seriously treated. Psychological fatigue is related to one’s unstable emotion, so physical labor or mental treatment can work. 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章介绍说,疲劳有三种。它们是由不同的原因引起的,应该用不同的方法来缓解。运动会导致身体疲劳,而简单的休息就可以消除疲劳。病理性疲劳可由疾病或超重引起,应认真对待。心理疲劳与人的情绪不稳定有关,体力劳动或精神治疗都能起到作用。 【详解】1 要点摘录 ①Basically, there are three types of fatigue, physical, pathological (由疾病引起的), and psychological. ②When you exercise your body, you produce waste products. ③The solution to this type of fatigue is simple — rest. ④Some communicable diseases like the flu and colds are “well” known for draining your energy. ⑤Being overweight can cause pathological fatigue. It should be obvious that this type of fatigue is not going to go away without treatment. ⑥Some of these familiar factors can bring on psychological fatigue: worries, stress, lack of exercise, boredom, depression. ⑦If you are ever going to be able to cope with stress, depression, or worry, you need oxygen in your cells and a more optimistic attitude. 2.缜密构思 将第1个要点进行重组,将第2、3和4、5和6、7几个要点进行整合。 3.遣词造句T Three kinds of fatigue exist. 【点睛】[高分句型1]:Exercise causes physical fatigue, which simple rest can eliminate.(运用which引导的非限定性定语从句) [高分句型2]:Psychological fatigue is related to one’s unstable emotion, so physical labor or mental treatment can work. (全神贯注地做某事)结构,表示“我正埋头读一本侦探小说”为I was absorbed in reading a detective story,表示“在宿舍”用介词短语in my dormitory作地点状语;表示“没留意走廊里发生了什么”可用and连接并列谓语,didn’t notice表示“没留意”,连接代词what在从句中作主语,根据句意,happen用过去进行时,用what引导宾语从句,即what was happening in the corridor。故可翻译为I was absorbed in reading a detective story in my dormitory and didn’t notice what was happening in the corridor. 54. 这条街乍一看不起眼,但由于在一部叫好的电影中频频出镜,现在已成了游客青睐的景点。(thanks to)(汉译英) 【答案】At first glance, the street is nothing special , but it has become a popular tourist attraction thanks to its frequent appearances in a well-received movie . At first glance, the street is nothing special, but it has become a popular tourist attraction thanks to its frequent appearances in a well-received movie. 55. 有些电视节目几十年来在形式和内容上一成不变,与当今观众的期待相差甚远,遭到市场淘汰是迟早的事。(far from)(汉译英) 【答案】Some TV programs have remained unchanged in form and content for decades , which is far from the expectations of the audience nowadays and they will be eliminated by the market sooner or later . 【解析】 【详解】考查短语、定语从句和动词时态。表示“有些电视节目”短语为some TV programs;表示“几十年来”短语为for decades;表示“一成不变”可翻译为remain unchanged;表示“在形式和内容上”短语为in form and content;表示“当今观众的期待”短语为the expectations of the audience nowadays;表示“相差甚远”短语为be far from;表示“淘汰”的动词为eliminate;表示“迟早”短语为sooner or later。分析句子可知,“几十年来”指从过去到现在,应用现在完成时。“与当今观众的期待相差甚远”可作为前文的定语从句。根据“遭到市场淘汰是迟早的事”可知,主语“有些电视节目”与“淘汰”构成被动关系,且此事未发生,应用将来时的被动语态。故翻译为Some TV programs have remained unchanged in form and content for decades , which is far from the expectations of the audience nowadays and they will be eliminated by the market sooner or later . 写作 25分 56. 假如你是排忧解难社团的成员,你收到了一封信,写信者想要做饭,但是他的父母不允许,他希望可以说服他的父母,希望你给他提点建议。请写一篇文章,内容包括你的建议,及你的理由。 ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】One possible version: Dear Friend, I understand your desire to cook, which is both a valuable life skill and a creative outlet. To convince your parents, I suggest a thoughtful approach. First, it is wise to demonstrate responsibility by completing chores without reminders, proving you can handle additional tasks. Second, propose starting with simple recipes under supervision, easing their concerns about safety. Since cooking fosters independence and healthier eating habits, you can highlight these benefits. Moreover, you can suggest a trial period where you cook one meal weekly. If accidents occur, remain calm and show how you’ll improve. Parents often resist change due to worry, so patience is key. For example, say, “If you let me try, I’ll clean up thoroughly and follow recipes carefully.” By addressing their fears logically and showing commitment, they’ll likely support you. Good luck! Best regards, Your Problem Solver 【解析】 【导语】本篇书面表达属于应用文。题目要求学生以排忧解难社团成员的身份,给求助者回复一封建议信,为他提供说服父母的具体建议,并说明理由。 【详解】1. 词汇积累 宝贵的:valuable → precious 展示:demonstrate → showcase/display 完成:complete → finish/accomplish 处理:handle → cope with/manage/tackle/address 2. 句式拓展 简单句变复合句 原句:By addressing their fears logically and showing commitment, they’ll likely support you. 拓展句:By addressing their fears logically and showing commitment, it’s likely that they’ll support you. 【点睛】【高分句型1】I understand your desire to cook, which is both a valuable life skill and a creative outlet. A. principles B. obliges C. varies D. characterized E. collectively F. defines G. proportion H. completion I. normally J. delivers K. systematic Education Education includes both the teaching and learning of knowledge, proper conduct, and technical competency. It thus focuses on the cultivation of skills, trades or professions, as well as mental, moral & aesthetic development. Formal education consists of ____11____ instruction, teaching and training by professional teachers. This consists of the application of teaching approaches and the development of curricula. The right to education is a fundamental human right. Since 1952, Article 2 of the first Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights ____12____ all signatory parties to guarantee the right to education. At world level, the United Nations' International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1966 guarantees this right under its Article 13. Educational systems are established to provide education and training, often for children and the young. A curriculum ____13____ what students should know, understand and be able to do as the result of education. A teaching profession ____14____ teaching which enables learning, and a system of policies, regulations, examinations, structures and funding which enables teachers to teach to the best of their abilities. Sometimes educational systems can be used to promote ____15____ or ideals as well as knowledge, which is known as social engineering. Primary (or elementary) education consists of the first years of formal, structured education. In general, primary education consists of six or seven years of schooling starting at the age of 5 or 6, although this ____16____ between, and sometimes within, countries. Globally, around 70% of primary-age children are enrolled in primary education, and this ____17____ is rising. In most contemporary educational systems of the world, secondary education consists of the second years of formal education that occur during adolescence. It is ____18____ by transition from the typically compulsory, comprehensive primary education for minors, to the optional, selective tertiary, "post-secondary", or "higher" education (e.g., university, vocational school) for adults. Higher education, also called tertiary, third stage, or post secondary education, is the non-compulsory educational level that follows the ____19____ of a school providing a secondary education, such as a high school or secondary school. Tertiary education is _____20_____ taken to include undergraduate and postgraduate education, as well as vocational education and training. Colleges and universities are the main institutions that provide tertiary education. Collectively, these are sometimes known as tertiary institutions. Tertiary education generally results in the receipt of certificates, diplomas, or academic degrees. 完型填空15分 Farmers around the world face serious challenges in growing food more effectively. Climate warming increases the risk of crop damage from insects, fungi (真菌), and bacteria. So to manage the threat, farms are turning to artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and computer vision to target pests more ____21____. In 2019 the United Nations reported on the pest ____22____ causing crop losses of between 20 and 40 percent of global production each year. Damage from plant diseases, it said, costs the world economy an estimated $220 billion annually, and invasive insects around $70 billion. Smart farming is one way to combat the problem, using AI and robotics to kill bugs and reduce reliance on pesticides while ____23____ skilled worker shortages and adapting to climate change. Technologies include soil and crop sensors, satellite and drone monitoring, plus computer vision and AI data analysis to reduce the number of affected plants and increase crop ____24____. Insect monitoring services like the UK’s Spotta offer ____25____ real-time data on invasive species. The company uses internet-connected dry traps to catch red palm weevils (象鼻虫) that attack date palms, causing more than $1 billion of losses in the Middle East, Africa, and North America each year. Traps alert plantation workers to trees infested (寄生) with weevils so they can eliminate them before they cause any real damage. And this targeted approach means less pesticide is used, ____26____ the impact on other species. ____27____, the Californian agriculture technology startup FarmSense uses visual sensors and machine learning algorithms (算法) trained to find and track insects in real-time. With non-native invasive insect species ____28____ to increase 36 percent worldwide by 2050, these technologies could give farmers a huge advantage in eco-friendly pest control and food growing. Precision spot spraying linked to AI is another valuable add-on that aims to ____29____ pesticide and herbicide use. Spraying entire crops can harm insect pollinators (传花粉者) like bees and becomes part of agricultural run-off when it is washed out of soil. But targeting weeds or insects using cameras and directed sprays can vastly reduce ____30____ use. In the Czech Republic, scientists at Mendel University in Brno have built a sample robot that patrols greenhouses and can identify the different ____31____ of insect growth. It then ____32____ just enough insecticide to kill individual pests, working 24 hours a day to keep things under control. Companies like Root AI and 80 Acres Farms are banking on indoor growing and AI-controlled systems as the future of farming. In the case of 80 Acres, its pesticide-free indoor farms are ____33____ by AI every step of the way. Robots do a lot of the work and computer vision lets them know if crops need more nutrients or if pests are causing ____34____. Their efforts are part of what analysts say will be a $2.6 billion AI-farming market by 2025. Reimagining how farming operates will be crucial says the World Bank – reducing its greenhouse gas emissions, soil erosion, and biodiversity loss. And technology will play its part in helping farmers improve their all-around crop ____35____. 21. A. effectively B. temporarily C. desperately D. enthusiastically 22. B Whether you’re looking to learn more about sustainability or imagine yourself as a media big man at the head of a world-famous magazine, here are several books worth popping on your Good Reads list. The Conscious Closet by Elizabeth L. Cline As the pressure to save the planet increases, it’s important to turn the conversation to our closet(衣帽间). Stockpiling endless printed books on sustainability seems somewhat unwise, but The Conscious Closet is easily the best of the lot. It exposes the true cost of fast fashion and encourages the reader to think twice about unwise purchasing, drawing deeply on Cline’s own experiences. C To the average person, it must seem as if the field of artificial intelligence is making great achievement. A AGI is quite a frustrating area. 六选四 8分 Is It Smarter Than a Seven-month-old? F Similar techniques are used to train self-driving cars to operate in traffic. 51. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 翻译15分 52. 这件衬衫是真丝做的,夏天穿起来很舒服。(comfortable)(汉译英) 53. 我正在宿舍埋头读一本侦探小说,没留意走廊里发生了什么。(absorb)(汉译英) 54. 这条街乍一看不起眼,但由于在一部叫好的电影中频频出镜,现在已成了游客青睐的景点。(thanks to)(汉译英) 55. 有些电视节目几十年来在形式和内容上一成不变,与当今观众的期待相差甚远,遭到市场淘汰是迟早的事。(far from)(汉译英) 写作 25分 56. 假如你是排忧解难社团的成员,你收到了一封信,写信者想要做饭,但是他的父母不允许,他希望可以说服他的父母,希望你给他提点建议。请写一篇文章,内容包括你的建议,及你的理由。 ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
