Ⅲ. 阅读理解(共10小题; 每小题2分, 满分20分)
A
When I was a girl growing up, I couldn’t once ever remember either my mom or my grandma wasting food.
Anything we didn’t eat at one meal was leftovers (剩菜). I can remember my grandma making a huge pot of potatoes. We should all eat until we were full, but there were always about half of the potatoes left over. A few days later, Grandma would take those potatoes out of the fridge, boil some noodles, add some vegetables and mix them all together. And I also remember when I watched my mom fry bacon (煎培根) for us in the mornings, she would always take the oil carefully and pour it into a bottle. Then she would use it later to add flavor (味道) to so many other dishes. I was an adult before I realized that potatoes didn’t actually taste like bacon!
I learned their lessons well, and after I grew up, I tried to never waste food myself. I always planned the week’s meals ahead of time and only bought what was on my shopping list so that nothing went to waste. Every meal went into our stomachs and any leftovers were later eaten by either myself, my boys, my husband or my dogs. To me, throwing food into the bin (垃圾箱) was just wrong.
However, when it comes to living, there are no leftovers. Life is just like a feast (盛宴). Each moment that you don’t live is lost forever. Life cannot be saved or stored. Each day is a fresh beginning. Live each moment of your life to the fullest, then.
根据语篇内容做出判断,正确选A、错误选B。
31.The writer’s grandma used the potatoes which were left over to boil some vegetables.

For young people who grow up in villages, a job in the city sounds good. But Ning Fenfang, 34, left the big city to be a farmer.
In 2017, she left her job in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, and went back to her hometown of Cili County in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province. At that time, much of the farmland there was deserted. Seeing this, Ning decided to be a farmer. She started with growing rice and rapeseed (油菜籽) in 2020. She rented (租) her land and hired villagers to work it.
Ning now farms more than 66.7 hectares of land. More than 300 housewives have worked part-time on her land.

Ning has tried to turn farming into a “trendy” job. Rather than depending on farmers, she embraces mechanized farming, such as using harvesters and cultivators (耕田机). She also plans to make use of agricultural tourism in Zhangjiajie so that children living in cities can experience farming.

“It’s never easy, ”said Ning, who was elected (选举) as a deputy to the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) in 2023.
At first, her decision to become a farmer confused (使困惑) many. Farming is often seen as an “unsuitable” job for both the post-90s generation and women in general. Also, she didn’t have enough farming knowledge. However, Ning loved farming.
“When you’re tired, you can stop and rest and do what you want to do. Everyday, you can embrace (拥抱) nature, which is the poetry and far afield (诗和远方) that many people hope for, Ning told the People’s Courts News and Communication Agency.
Ning has tried to turn farming into a “trendy” job. Rather than depending on farmers, she embraces mechanized farming, such as using harvesters and cultivators (耕田机). She also plans to make use of agricultural tourism in Zhangjiajie so that children living in cities can experience farming.

A
When I was a girl growing up, I couldn’t once ever remember either my mom or my grandma wasting food.
32.The potatoes cooked by the writer’s mom tasted like bacon because she poured the bacon oil into potatoes.

“It’s never easy, ”said Ning, who was elected (选举) as a deputy to the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) in 2023.

This unhealthy habit causes big problems. First, some students lose weight in an unhealthy way and their physical strength becomes weaker. Second, they often feel tired in PE tests and even struggle to finish basic sports tasks.
To improve this, we should have balanced meals with vegetables, lean meat and rice. Besides, we can prepare homemade lunches to ensure freshness. What’s more, we should join nutrition lectures to learn more about healthy eating. Let’s choose health for better growth!
