通读全文可知,文中多次出现“your students (你的学生)”以及“field trip (田野研究)”、“educational tours (教育旅游)”等教学相关词汇,再结合第一段“While outdoor field studies can happen throughout the year we hope this month’s “Growing Healthy Schools” theme inspires you to plan something special that will connect your students to the world around them. (虽然户外田野研究可以在全年进行,我们希望这个月的“发展健康学校”主题启发你计划一些特别的事情,将你的学生与他们周围的世界连接起来。)”可推知,文章的目标受众是能够组织学生户外活动的人,即教师。故选A项。 根据Explore Your neighborhood中的“See the environmental features of the District’s neighborhoods through the eyes of a landscape architect by going on a self-guided walking tour developed by the American Society of Landscape architects (ASLA). (通过参加由美国景观设计师协会(ASLA)开发的自助徒步旅行,通过景观设计师的眼睛来了解该地区社区的环境特征。)”可知,ASLA开发了一个社区徒步旅行。故选B项。 【3题详解】 细节理解题。根据Gone Fishing中的“Take a tour of the Aquatic Resources Education Center, where you can also schedule a fishing activity for your students. For more information, contact Teresa Rodriguez by emailing Teresa.Rodriguez@ dc.gov. (参观一下水产资源教育中心,在那里你还可以为你的学生安排钓鱼活动。欲了解更多信息,请通过电子邮件Teresa.Rodriguez@ dc.gov联系Teresa Rodriguez。)”可知,Teresa Rodriguez可以帮助安排钓鱼活动。故选A项。 B A new study from University of British Columbia (UBC) finds students appear to be using generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) responsibly, and as a way to speed up tasks, not just raise their grades. Students in three different courses, almost 400 participants, completed a questionnaire about their use of AI on at least five writing assignments. Students had the option to use the tool for their writing. Researchers found most students responded their GenAI use was inspired by at least one of the following factors: speed and ease in completing the assignment, a longing for high grades and an eagerness to learn. About 15 percent of the students said they were motivated by all three factors, with more than 50 percent using it to save time on the assignment. Most students used AI to initiate the paper or revise sections. “GenAI tools like ChatGPT allow users to interface with large language models. They offer incredible promise to promote student learning and bring convenience to education. However, they can also be perverted in completion of writing assignments,” says Dr. MacNutt, the leader of the study. “This potential has raised concerns about GenAI as a serious threat to academic (学术的) integrity and to tie learning that occurs when students don’t and improve their own written work.” Researchers also find that students’ GenAI use is motivated more by learning than by grades, and they are using GenAI tools selectively and in ways they believe are ethical (合乎道德的) and supportive of their learning. GenAI can be a useful tool for students learning English or people with reading and writing disabilities. But there is also the potential that if paid versions are better, students who can afford to use a more effective platform might have an advantage over others — creating further classroom inequality. “Our findings are different from common concerns about widespread student misapplication and overuse of GenAI at the expense of academic integrity and learning,” says Dr. MacNutt. “And our further research in this area will provide a better understanding of student behavior and attitudes as GenAI technologies continue to advance.” 4. What does the study mainly focus on? A. Students’ use of GenAI in writing tasks. B. Students’ comments on GenAI programs. C. The effect of GenAI on the teaching methods. D. The advancement of GenAI tools in technology. 5. How did the researchers get the result of their study? A. By summarizing feedback from respondents. B. By comparing writings among participants. C. By referring to daily grades of selected students. D. By tracking participants’ real-time AI operations. 6. What does the underlined word “perverted” in paragraph 4 mean? A. Translated. B. Affected. C. Discovered. D. Misused. 7. What is the possible negative impact of GenAI? A. It can give away students’ privacy. B. Its entry into schools may break ethics. C. It can cause unfairness among students. D. It can hold back the development of other AI tools. A 5. A 6. D 7. 根据第一段“A new study from University of British Columbia (UBC) finds students appear to be using generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) responsibly, and as a way to speed up tasks, not just raise their grades.(不列颠哥伦比亚大学(UBC)的一项新研究发现,学生们似乎在负责任地使用生成式人工智能(GenAI),并将其作为一种加快任务速度的方式,而不仅仅是为了提高成绩。)”以及第二段中“Students in three different courses, almost 400 participants, completed a questionnaire about their use of AI on at least five writing assignments.(来自三门不同课程的近400名学生完成了一份关于他们在至少五项写作作业中使用人工智能的问卷。)” 故选A。 根据第二段中“Students in three different courses, almost 400 participants, completed a questionnaire about their use of AI on at least five writing assignments.(来自三门不同课程的近400名学生参与者完成了一份关于他们在至少五次写作作业中使用人工智能情况的问卷。)”、第三段中“Researchers found most students responded their GenAI use was inspired by at least one of the following factors: speed and ease in completing the assignment, a longing for high grades and an eagerness to learn.(研究人员发现,大多数学生表示,他们使用GenAI是受到以下至少一个因素的启发:完成作业的速度和轻松程度、对高分的渴望以及对学习的渴望。)” 故选A。 根据第四段中““GenAI tools like ChatGPT allow users to interface with large language models. They offer incredible promise to promote student learning and bring convenience to education. However, they can also be perverted in completion of writing assignments,” says Dr. MacNutt, the leader of the study. “This potential has raised concerns about GenAI as a serious threat to academic (学术的) integrity and to tie learning that occurs when students don’t and improve their own written work.”(“像ChatGPT这样的生成式人工智能工具让用户能够与大型语言模型进行交互。 A. 根据倒数第二段中“But there is also the potential that if paid versions are better, students who can afford to use a more effective platform might have an advantage over others — creating further classroom inequality.(但还有一种可能性是,如果付费版本更好,那些有能力使用更有效平台的学生可能会比其他学生更有优势,从而造成更大的课堂不平等。)” C。 C A smoke bomb from a party started a major blaze (火焰) near Los Angeles in September, just one of many recent wildfires ignited (引燃) by people. Now, an analysis of satellite data shows human-caused blazes spread much faster and kill more trees than ones ignited by lightning. Fire has always been a part of California’s natural history. But several centuries of human settlement have created new conditions that promote its spread.Studies have shown human ignition is to blame for 84% of all wildfires in the United States, and 97% of all those that threaten homes. Human-caused fires always seemed more extreme, says Stijn Hantson,a fire ecologist at the University of California,Irvine, who led the new research. But measurements of how fast they spread and their impacts on ecosystems (生态系统) in California had not been explored, he notes. To examine those differences, Hantson and his colleagues analyzed satellite data for 214 wildfires in California between 2012 and 2018.Human-caused fires typically spread about 1.83 kilometers per day, more than twice as fast as lightning-ignited burns, the team reports. The faster spreading fires also burned more violently and killed “double or triple” the trees as lightning-caused ones. However, there is no fundamental difference in the chemistry of a human-caused blaze. “A fire is a fire” Hantson says. “It’s the surrounding things that matter.” Causes of fires ranging from improperly thrown cigarettes to sparking (冒火花) power lines could ignite a blaze on any given day, he says, while lightning strikes and dry thunderstorms only happen seasonally. The researchers tracked meteorological data and found that human-caused fires were more likely to start on days with extreme weather conditions, and were more associated with drier,less-forested landscapes. This adds to scientists’ understanding of how humans are extending the fire season, says Nathan Mietkiewicz, an ecologist with the National Ecological Observation Network. 8. The author uses some data in paragraph 2 to show that ________. A. wildfires are mostly caused by humans B. most wildfires threaten people’s homes C. wildfire is a part of California’s natural history D. wildfires break out frequently in the United States 9. What’s the purpose of Hantson’s research? A. To prove how extreme human-caused fires are. B. To find out the causes and solutions of wildfires. C. To explore the speed and effects of wildfires caused by humans. D. To examine the differences between a human-caused blaze and a nature-caused one. 10. How is the result presented in paragraph 4? A. By giving examples. B. By making comparisons. C. By analyzing cause and effect. D. By giving definitions. 11. What can be inferred from the last two paragraphs? A. Human-caused fires and lightning-caused fires are basically different. B. Lightning strikes and thunderstorms can always lead to wildfires. C. Wildfires only happen in dry,less-forested areas. D. Humans are to blame for the extended fire season. A 9. C 10. B 11. 根据第二段“Studies have shown human ignition is to blame for 84% of all wildfires in the United States, and 97% of all those that threaten homes(研究表明,美国84%的野火和97%的威胁家园的野火都是人为点火造成的)”可知,作者在第二段中使用了一些数据来表明野火大多是由人类引起的。故选A。 根据第三段“But measurements of how fast they spread and their impacts on ecosystems (生态系统) in California had not been explored, he notes.(但他指出,没有人研究过它们传播速度有多快,以及它们对加州生态系统的影响。)”及第四段“Human-caused fires typically spread about 1.83 kilometers per day, more than twice as fast as lightning-ignited burns, the team reports(人为引起的火灾通常每天蔓延约1.83公里,比闪电燃烧的速度快两倍多。)可知,汉森研究的目的是探索人类引起的野火的速度和影响。故选C。 【10题详解】 推理判断题。根据第四段“Human-caused fires typically spread about 1.83 kilometers per day, more than twice as fast as lightning-ignited burns, the team reports. The faster spreading fires also burned more violently and killed “double or triple” the trees as lightning-caused ones. (研究小组报告称,人为引起的火灾通常每天蔓延约1.83公里,比闪电燃烧的速度快两倍多。火势蔓延得更快,燃烧得也更猛烈,闪电造成的树木死亡的数量是树木的“两倍或三倍”) ”可知,第四段主要通过对比来展示结果。故选B。 【11题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段“This adds to scientists’ understanding of how humans are extending the fire season, says Nathan Mietkiewicz, an ecologist with the National Ecological Observation Network(这增加了科学家对人类如何延长火灾季节的理解,”国家生态观察网络的生态学家内森·米特凯维奇说)”可推断,火灾季节延长应归咎于人类。故选D。 D In 1959, Handler changed how toy dolls were made when she introduced “Barbie” to the world. With her mature figure, Barbie was one of the first “grown-up” dolls to hit the retail market. Handler wanted to create a toy that was different from the baby dolls that dominated little girls’ toy boxes. She wanted a doll that girls could project their future dreams upon and allowed for limitless clothing and career choices. Inspired by paper dolls of the time, Handler, to much disagreement, made sure Barbie had the body of a grown woman. “My own philosophy of Barbie,” Handler wrote in her autobiography, “was that through the doll, the little girl could be anything she wanted to be. Barbie always represented the fact that a woman had choices.” There’s even a Barbie for cancer patients — Brave Barbie — a partnership between Mattel and CureSearch that sends a bald (光头的) Barbie to families affected by cancer. “Gifting my daughter a Barbie who suffered from cancer was tremendous,” Michelle, a cancer survivor said, “We would play with that Barbie together and I’d heartbreakingly watch her pretend to take the doll to the hospital for chemo (化疗), or place its long wig on top of its head and tell the doll ‘It’s time to be beautiful again.’” Bald Barbie was super brave and went on awesome adventures after chemo. Sometimes she felt sick and needed to sleep, but would feel much better after a rest. Bald Barbie always beat the cancer and went on to live a long and happy life with her family. That Barbie became so much more than a plastic doll — she was a means of communication and a coping mechanism during an extremely distressing time for little families. 12. Why did Handler create Barbie? A. To make a hit in the retail market. B. To appeal to girls with her diverse outfits. C. To do a project on women’s career choices. D. To inspire girls to make choices as they wish. 13. How might Michelle feel when watching her daughter with Brave Barbie? A. Sad yet comforted. B. Envious yet proud. C. Overwhelmed and ashamed. D. Heartbroken and regretful. 14. What does Brave Barbie mean to Michelle’s family? A. A reliable emotional support. B. A glue for broken relationships. C. An effective practical treatment. D. A secret medium of negotiation. 15. Where is the text probably taken from? A. A medical journal. B. A charity brochure. C. A financial report. D. A story collection. D 13. A 14. A 15. 根据第二段的“She wanted a doll that girls could project their future dreams upon and allowed for limitless clothing and career choices. (她想要一个女孩们可以投射未来梦想的娃娃,并允许无限的服装和职业选择)”和第三段的“the little girl could be anything she wanted to be. Barbie always represented the fact that a woman had choices.(通过这个娃娃,小女孩可以成为任何她想成为的人。芭比娃娃一直代表着女性拥有选择权的事实)”可推知, Handler创造Barbie的目的是让激励女孩根据自己的意愿做出选择。故选D。 【13题详解】 推理判断题。根据倒数第二段的““Gifting my daughter a Barbie who suffered from cancer was tremendous,” Michelle, a cancer survivor said, “We would play with that Barbie together and I’d heartbreakingly watch her pretend to take the doll to the hospital for chemo (化疗), or place its long wig on top of its head and tell the doll ‘It’s time to be beautiful again.’”(“送给我患癌症的女儿一个芭比娃娃真是太棒了,”癌症幸存者米歇尔说,“给我的女儿一个患了癌症的芭比娃娃是一件非常美妙的事情。我们会一起玩那个芭比娃娃,我心碎地看着她假装带着芭比娃娃去医院化疗,或者把它的长假发戴在它的头上,告诉它‘是时候变漂亮了’”)”可推知,Michelle看到女儿和Brave Barbie一起感到欣慰的同时也很难过。故选A。 根据最后一段的“Bald Barbie always beat the cancer and went on to live a long and happy life with her family. That Barbie became so much more than a plastic doll — she was a means of communication and a coping mechanism during an extremely distressing time for little families.(秃头芭比总是战胜癌症,并继续与她的家人过着漫长而幸福的生活。芭比娃娃不仅仅是一个塑料娃娃——她是一个沟通的工具,也是一个在小家庭极度痛苦时期的应对机制)”可推知,Brave Barbie对于米歇尔一家而言是可靠的情感支持,帮助女儿和这个家庭应对极度痛苦的阶段。故选A。 For me, it started when I picked up Grant Faulkner’s collection of 100-word stories, *Finsver*. Until that moment, I had no idea that a story could even be told in so few words. ___16___ But I soon ran into tricky troubles, which taught me valuable lessons. Here are tips I learned the hard way so you won’t have to hit the same roadblocks on your journey of writing micro novels. Outline the entire story. Much like writing any long story that may dishearten you, you have the options of building a complete outline of all the events of the story. It helps have an idea of what you want to have happen over the course of that structure. ___17___ Don’t get lost in the details. ___18___ When you write long works, you can find yourself using far more language than you really need to communicate your ideas. When you write micro novels, you have to write only what is necessary. The bottom line is that you have to determine how much you need to give the reader to understand the scene. ___19___ Microfiction can be the twin of prose poetry. Therefore, each word must matter in a micro novel. So you have to be so selective and get comfortable with language. You might even employ poetic devices in your language. At last read your work aloud and feel the rhythms of language fitting comfortably in your mouth. Start strong and end strong, but don’t leave the middle before. ___20___ Ideally, you still want your readers to start the micro novel and refuse to put it down until they reach the last word. After all, each sentence should carry its own weight as a story. A. I discovered there were few. B Focus on what is most important. C. Approach each chapter in an exploratory way. D. After that, I tried my hand at writing micro novels. E. Pay attention to your language the way a poet would. F. So you don’t become discouraged with the process and quit it. G. Make sure you keep your foot on the gas throughout the process. D 17. F 18. B 19. E 20. 【16题详解】 根据上文“For me, it started when I picked up Grant Faulkner’s collection of 100-word stories, *Finsver*. Until that moment, I had no idea that a story could even be told in so few words.(对我来说,这一切始于我拿起格兰特·福克纳编纂的那本包含100个字故事的集子——《鳍之歌》。在此之前,我根本不知道一个故事竟然可以用如此少的字数来讲述)”以及后文“But I soon ran into tricky troubles, which taught me valuable lessons. Here are tips I learned the hard way so you won’t have to hit the same roadblocks on your journey of writing micro novels.(但很快我就遇到了一些棘手的难题,这些经历让我学到了宝贵的经验。 Much like writing any long story that may dishearten you, you have the options of building a complete outline of all the events of the story. It helps have an idea of what you want to have happen over the course of that structure.(概述整个故事。 【18题详解】 根据上文“Don’t get lost in the details.(不要被细枝末节所困扰)”以及后文“When you write long works, you can find yourself using far more language than you really need to communicate your ideas. When you write micro novels, you have to write only what is necessary. The bottom line is that you have to determine how much you need to give the reader to understand the scene.(当你撰写长篇作品时,往往会发现自己使用的词汇量远远超过了实际传达思想所需的量。而当你创作微型小说时,则只需写出必要的内容。关键在于要明确需要向读者传达多少信息才能让他们理解所描绘的场景)”可知,本段主旨为“不要迷失在细节中”,后文进一步说明“微型小说需只写必要内容,确定读者理解场景所需的核心信息”。B项“聚焦最重要的内容”直接点明段落核心,与“摒弃冗余细节”的建议高度契合,作为段首主题句统领全段。故选B。 【19题详解】 根据后文“Microfiction can be the twin of prose poetry. She and her husband never had any kids, but she loved children and treated her students like her own. Of all her students, Ms. Lane was particularly fond of a thirteen-year-old boy named Brandon, who always passed his tests with high grades. “You’ll make a great physicist, Brandon. Keep at it, and physics could be your future profession,” she often motivated Brandon, who told her she was his favorite teacher and that he dreamed of becoming a physicist one day. Unfortunately, when Brandon got to his senior year in high school, his grades started to slip. But Ms. Lane didn’t worry much about his grades as she believed in Brandon. She hoped Brandon would rebuild his confidence soon. One weekend, Ms. Lane went on her routine supermarket trip. She parked the car in the corner of the supermarket parking lot, and that was when she unexpectedly noticed Brandon was there, picking up the food thrown away by the supermarket. She saw that the area was filled with homeless people. Ms. Lane felt upset for her brilliant student. “Brandon, what happened to you, dear?” she asked him. At first, Brandon stayed silent. After Ms. Lane asked him again and again, he replied, “My mom and dad passed away in an accident. I am afraid I can’t continue my studies. Sorry to let you down.” Ms. Lane was shocked to hear what Brandon said and her eyes were full of concern. She comforted Brandon and assured him he wasn’t alone. She told Brandon that any time he needed anything, she would be ready to help him. She took Brandon inside the store, where Ms. Lane bought him a hot meal and some food and drinks. Afterwards, she drove Brandon home. That night, Ms. Lane explained Brandon’s situation to her husband and mentioned her idea of adopting Brandon. “Honey, you’re doing a remarkable thing,” her husband said, “but are you sure you’re ready for this?” 注意: 1.续写词数应为150个左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Ms. Lane nodded without hesitation and the couple began to prepare the legal documents. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When it came time for student speeches at the graduation ceremony, Brandon surprised everyone by asking Ms. Lane to join him on stage. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 Ms. Lane nodded without hesitation and the couple began to prepare the legal documents. She took me in when I had nowhere else to go and gave me the love and support I needed to keep going. B A new study from University of British Columbia (UBC) finds students appear to be using generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) responsibly, and as a way to speed up tasks, not just raise their grades. C A smoke bomb from a party started a major blaze (火焰) near Los Angeles in September, just one of many recent wildfires ignited (引燃) by people. D In 1959, Handler changed how toy dolls were made when she introduced “Barbie” to the world. 第二节 七选五 (共5小题;每小题2. 5分, 满分12. 5分) 根据短文内容, 从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项多余选项。 For me, it started when I picked up Grant Faulkner’s collection of 100-word stories, *Finsver*. B. Focus on what is most important. C. Approach each chapter in an exploratory way. D. After that, I tried my hand at writing micro novels. E. Pay attention to your language the way a poet would. F. So you don’t become discouraged with the process and quit it. G. Make sure you keep your foot on the gas throughout the process. 第三部分 英语知识运用(共两节, 满分30分) 第一节 完形填空(共15小题, 每小题1分, 满分15分) 阅读下面短文, 从短文后各题所给的 A、B、C、D 四个选项中, 选出可以填入空白 处的最佳选项, 并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。 When I was younger, I lacked the confidence to declare, “This is me.” Instead, trapped by society’s ___21___ definition of disability, I spent years hesitating to accept my ___22___. Unfortunately when Brandon got to his senior year in high school, his grades started to slip. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
