2.阅读2b中的文章,掌握文章大意,并试着翻译成汉语。
3.跟着录音声情并茂地朗读2b中的文章,注意模仿语音和语调。

Step 1 Leading in

Step 2 Work on 2a
1.Make the students look at the title and the pictures in 2b and guess what the passage is about.Let the students discuss in groups and prepare the new words for the coming reading.
2.Ask individual students to give their answers.Give suggestions and lead to the reading.
Step 3 Work on 2b
1.Ask the students to answer these questions:What can you see in the pictures?What are they made of?Do you think it’s a good way to protect the environment?Present new words and expressions while talking with the students.
2.Make the students read the paragraphs quickly and understand their main ideas.
3.Make the students read the passage again,finish the chart in 2b,and underline the related sentences in the passage.
4.Check the answers with the class.
Step 4 Work on 2c
1.Let the students read the phrases in the box in 2c,and then find them in the passage and learn their meanings.
2.Let the students read the sentences in 2c and understand them.Ask the students to finish the task of filling.Get the students to read out the complete sentences and check their work.
Step 5 Work on 2d
1.Read the words in the box in 2d.Teach prefixes and suffixes.
2.Get the students to find words based on these given words in the passage.Write down the words and tell their meanings.
3.Explain how these prefixes and suffixes affect the meaning.Give more roots for the students to form new words:agree,happy,polite,possible,honest,care,help,home,use,hope,friend,neighbor...
Step 6 Work on 2e
1.Let the students read the instructions and make a list of things that need to be done to save the environment.
2.Let the students work in groups to discuss the following questions:
Which things can be done by common people every day?Which things have to be done by governments and organizations?
3.Choose one student from each group to report the opinions to the class.

1.re⁃是最常用的前缀之一。它可以加在名词或动词前面,构成新的名词或动词。re⁃前缀主要有以下三种意义:
(1)表示“回;向后”,如return(回来;退回),recall(回忆;召回),retract(缩回;收回)等。
(2)表示“再;重新;重复”,如rethink(再思考),reuse(再使用),restart(重新开始),recycle(再利用)等。
(3)表示“相反;反对”,如rebel(反叛;谋反),reverse(反转;颠倒),resist(反抗;抵抗)等。
2.un⁃前缀常加在形容词、副词、分词、动词和名词之前。主要用法:(1)表示否定意义;(2)表示“反动作”,即“相反的动作”。
3.⁃ive是形容词后缀,一般表示“有……的”。
4.⁃ion为名词后缀,常与动词组合,表示“行为;状态;结果”等。有⁃tion,⁃sion,⁃ation等变体,如:
(1)⁃tion:action(行动),collection(收集),connection(连接),education(教育)等;
(2)⁃sion:decision(决定),conclusion(结论)等;
(3)⁃ation:conversation(对话),organization(组织),imagination(想象)等。
◇教学反思◇
通过本课时的学习,学生进一步了解了环境问题和环保的重要性,也了解了一些环保方式。同时,学生也学习了一些构词法知识,课后应当针对这一知识点多做练习,巩固加深。
