Hello, everyone,
Safety is very important for us. We should learn to protect ourselves. Here are some suggestions about how to keep safe.
Firstly, we must follow the traffic rules. Secondly, we should pay attention to the food safety. Be sure not to eat too much junk food. Thirdly, when we go upstairs or downstairs, we should keep to the right. Be careful while doing sports. Remember not to swim in the river by ourselves. What’s more, we’d better make friends online carefully. If we get into trouble, we must keep calm and safe first and then call the police, the teachers or parents for help. In a word, as students, we must always keep safety in mind and value our lives.
That’s all. Thank you.

Did you know that tea, the most popular drink in the world (after water), was invented by accident? Many people believe that tea was first drunk about 5,000 years ago. It is said that a Chinese ruler (统治者) called Shen Nong was the first to discover tea as a drink.
One day Shen Nong was boiling drinking water over an open fire. Some leaves from a tea plant fell into the water and remained there for some time. He noticed the water had turned brown and produced a pleasant smell. He couldn’t help tasting it. It was quite delicious, and so, one of the world’s favorite drinks was invented.
A few thousand years later, Lu Yu, “the saint of tea”, talked about Shen Nong in his book Cha Jing. The book describes how tea plants were grown and used to make tea. It also discusses where the finest tea leaves were produced and what kinds of water were used.
It is believed that the Chinese brought tea to Korea and Japan during the 6th and 7th centuries. In England, tea didn’t appear until around 1660, but in less than 100 years, it had become the national drink. The tea trade (贸易) from China to Western countries took place in the 19th century. Have you ever wondered why you and your friends are so different? Maybe you love big parties, but your best friend prefers reading a book alone. This is all about personality (性格).
MBTI is a popular tool to help us understand these differences. It doesn’t test how smart you are, it just describes how you get your energy, take in information, make decisions, and deal with the outside world. The test puts people into 16 different personalities, made from four letters.
For example, the first letter can be “E” or “I”. An “E” (Extrovert) often feels energetic around people. An “I” (Introvert) usually gets their energy from spending time alone. The second letter is about how you take in information. An “S” (Sensing) person trusts facts and details, while an “N” (Intuitive) person is more interested in ideas and future possibilities.
So, someone might be an “ESFP” or an “INTJ”. Each type (类型) has its own strengths. Knowing your MBTI type can be fun and helpful. It can help you understand yourself better, see why others act the way they do, and improve your communication.
However, it’s very important to remember that MBTI is not the only way to understand personality. It’s just a fun way to start thinking about personality, but we should never use it to judge (评判) others or put them in a small box. It is common for us to be different from others, and that’s what makes the world interesting.

A group of comics called “Tiny Eyes” go popular on the Internet. With these comics, Chinese artist Cao Siyu shares the differences between Chinese culture and Western culture.
Cao Siyu comes from Beijing. She spent the last 10 years in France, the UK and the USA.“Many foreign people that I met were interested in China.” She explained. “But most of their ideas about China are out of date. I hope I can change the image of China in foreigners’ mind.” That is why Cao Siyu put her idea of “Tiny Eyes” comics into practice.
By bringing words and images together, the Chinese artist tells stories in a simple yet powerful way. She shares Chinese People’s daily life and compares how differently people act in the same situation.
In one comic, for example, she compared French cutlery (餐具) with Chinese one: While French people use eight different forks and knives for a meal, Chinese people can make it with only a pair of chopsticks. And in another comic, Cao Siyu made it clear how people from different cultures express love. She wrote below the comic, “Chinese people are not used to saying ‘I love you, Mum’. Instead, they show their love in actions.”
Cao Siyu provides a new way for foreigners to know her motherland, and her works have gathered about 20 thousand fans on the Internet. “People from one culture may not be able to fully understand another. But we can listen to each other.” she said.

18.How does the writer introduce the topic?
A.By telling stories. B.By asking a question.
C.By listing numbers. D.By showing feelings.
19.What does the first letter in an MBTI type (E or I) show according to the passage?
A.How smart a person is. B.How a person gets energy.
C.How a person gets information. D.How a person makes decisions.
20.Who is an “N” person?
A.Tony prefers working with facts.
B.Jackson is energetic in big parties.
C.Sarah likes thinking about new ideas.
D.Mary gets her energy from being alone.
21.What is the best title for this passage?
A.A Fun Guide to Personalities B.The Science of Being Smart
