Interestingly, 90 percent of the film was actually shot in Qingdao. For sci-fi fans or film enthusiasts, visiting Qingdao to explore the movie’s filming locations has become a popular trend.(去年春节期间,一部著名的电影是《流浪地球II》。 根据文章第三段“The scenery and relaxing pace of life described in the drama lead to a tourism boom in Dali.(剧中描述的风景和悠闲的生活节奏让大理的旅游业蓬勃发展。)” 根据文章第一段“Nowadays, moviegoers are no longer content with merely watching the show on screen, and eager to step into the scenes and experience the daily lives of characters. A popular movie or TV drama has the power to make a city famous and generate a tourism boom.(如今,电影观众不再满足于仅仅在屏幕上观看节目,他们渴望走进场景,体验角色的日常生活。 A。 B My birth was a little more dramatic than the standard way a baby enters the world. Within minutes of coming out, I was taken away into another room while doctors gave my parents the difficult news: I was born missing my left hand. This news would come to define the rest of my life, but thanks to a nurse’ intervention telling my parents to treat me normally. I had a relatively normal childhood. I played sports, acted in theater, excelled (出色) in school, participated in student government and had play dates with friends. Despite some stares and polite questions about my limb (肢体) difference, I wasn’t made fun of. As kids do, I quickly learned to adapt, working around the “missing” hand. One of my earliest memories is my father trying to teach me to tie my shoes. His two handed method wouldn’t work for me, so I figured out a way to do it with one hand. I started hiding disability on the first day of high school. I was 13, an age when kids are already very self-conscious. I remember getting on the yellow school bus and one of the other kids stared just a little too long at my left arm. The staring worried me in a way it never had before, and I felt a sudden urge to hide my hand, so I impulsively (冲动地) slipped it into my pocket. For the next two decades, I kept my limb difference hidden at all times. From then on, I realized that my missing hand made me hideous and that if people knew about it they would be scared of me and they don’t want to be around me anymore. Honestly, I was terrified that if I exposed my limb difference that people would find me as ugly as I found myself, I felt lonely and scared all the time. When I was 38 years old, tired of hiding and so lonely, I met someone who convinced me to stop hiding my limb difference. For the first time in my life, I allowed someone to really hold my limb, look at it, take pictures of it, touch it, love it—love me. From that point on, I saw my limb difference as something unique and beautiful about me, something that should be shown, not hidden. Unhiding my hand made everything in my life better. It was a transformational experience, and through that process, I learned to love myself. This ability to love myself changed how I lived my entire life, and it made me happier. 4. Why was the author taken to another room shortly after birth? A. The author was born prematurely. B. The author needed special medical treatment. C. The parents wanted to see their newborn child. D. The doctors had something to inform the parents. 5. What does the author’s memory of tying shoes with one hand suggest? A. The author relied heavily on others. B. The author’s father was not helpful. C. The author has a strong ability to adapt. D. There are challenges in the author’s daily life. 6. What can be inferred about the author’s emotional state in high school? A. Fearful of judgment and self-doubting. B. Self-conscious and confident. C. Motivated and optimistic. D. Envious and insecure. 7. What is the main message the author wants to convey? A. Actions speak louder than words. B. Be yourself, everyone else is taken. C. Practice makes perfect. D. Better late than never. D 5. C 6. A 7. 根据第一段“Within minutes of coming out, I was taken away into another room while doctors gave my parents the difficult news: I was born missing my left hand. 根据第二段“One of my earliest memories is my father trying to teach me to tie my shoes. His two handed method wouldn’t work for me, so I figured out a way to do it with one hand.(我最早的回忆是我的父亲教我系鞋带。 根据第三段“The staring worried me in a way it never had before, and I felt a sudden urge to hide my hand, so I impulsively (冲动地) slipped it into my pocket. For the next two decades, I kept my limb difference hidden at all times. From then on, I realized that my missing hand made me hideous and that if people knew about it they would be scared of me and they don’t want to be around me anymore. Honestly, I was terrified that if I exposed my limb difference that people would find me as ugly as I found myself, I felt lonely and scared all the time.(这种凝视让我感到前所未有的担忧,我突然有一种想把手藏起来的冲动,于是我冲动地把它塞进了口袋。 故选A。 根据最后一段“Unhiding my hand made everything in my life better. It was a transformational experience, and through that process, I learned to love myself. This ability to love myself changed how I lived my entire life, and it made me happier.(露出我的手让我的生活变得更好。 B。 C One of my bad habits is saying “busy” when people ask me how I’m doing. Sometimes it’s because I actually am busy, but other times it’s because that’s what I think I’m supposed to say. That’s what important people say. That’s what people who get promoted say. But working long hours doesn’t drive better results. Never taking a vacation won’t lead to a promotion. So why are we so proud to talk about how busy we are all the time? In 2016, researchers from Columbia, Harvard, and Georgetown conducted a study to figure it out. They found busy people are perceived to be of high status, and interestingly, these status attributions are heavily influenced by our own beliefs about social mobility. In other words, the more we believe that one has the opportunity for success based on hard work, the more we tend to think that people who skip leisure and work all the time are of higher standing. That’s why we feel like we have to appear busy, and there’s a real perception that if someone is knee-deep in meetings, emails, and stress, then they’re probably a big deal. This culture of busyness is making it hard for employees to find work-life balance. According to a recent study, one in five highly engaged employees is at risk of burnout. Personally, I’m going to stop saying “busy” when people ask me how I am. It sounds self-righteous (自以为是的) and sets the wrong tone. Phrases like “I have limited access to email” and “I’ll respond as soon as I get back” sound like you’re being held against your will from working as opposed to making the most of your time off. By rejecting the myth that business equals worth, we free ourselves and others from exhaustion. True success isn’t about working harder; it’s about working smarter and finding balance. Let’s redefine what it means to be productive — and start valuing rest as much as effort. 8. How does the author introduce the topic in the first paragraph? A. By quoting famous people. B. By presenting statistical data. C. By comparing different opinions. D. By introducing personal experience. 9. Why do we tend to think that busy people are of high status? A. Our status can be attributed to our social mobility. B. We hold the belief that hard work leads to success. C. Our own opportunity for success never comes easily. D. We find few people of high status have time for leisure. 10. What does the underlined phrase “knee-deep in” in Paragraph 3 probably mean? A Bored with. B. Worried about. C. Fully involved in. D. Very interested in. 11. What is the author’s purpose in writing the passage? A. To advise employees on how to achieve work-life balance. B. To share his personal experience of overcoming a bad habit. C. To introduce a study on people’s attitude towards busyness. D. To argue against the culture of equating busyness with worth. D 9. B 10. C 11. 根据第一段“One of my bad habits is saying “busy” when people ask me how I’m doing. Sometimes it’s because I actually am busy, but other times it’s because that’s what I think I’m supposed to say. That’s what important people say.(我一个坏习惯是当别人问我过得怎么样时,我总是说“忙”。 根据第二段“They found busy people are perceived to be of high status, and interestingly, these status attributions are heavily influenced by our own beliefs about social mobility. In other words, the more we believe that one has the opportunity for success based on hard work, the more we tend to think that people who skip leisure and work all the time are of higher standing.(他们发现忙碌的人被认为地位很高,有趣的是,这些地位归因在很大程度上受到我们自己对社会流动性的看法的影响。 根据上文“That’s why we feel like we have to appear busy(这就是为什么我们总觉得自己必须表现得很忙)”和下文“This culture of busyness is making it hard for employees to find work-life balance.(这种“忙碌文化”让员工很难找到工作与生活的平衡点。)” 根据最后一段“By rejecting the myth that business equals worth, we free ourselves and others from exhaustion. True success isn’t about working harder; it’s about working smarter and finding balance. Let’s redefine what it means to be productive — and start valuing rest as much as effort.(通过拒绝“忙碌等于价值”这一谬论,我们使自己和他人从疲惫中解脱出来。 D。 D Scientists in Australia thought they had developed a new tracking device to help them monitor magpies (喜鹊), but these birds had other ideas. Australian magpies are medium-sized black and white birds from the same bird“family” as crows and bluejays. They are known to be quite clever. They live in groups of up to 12 birds and work together to defend the area they live in. The purpose of the scientists’ experiment was to learn more about how far they travel each day and how their social behaviors are influenced by sex, age, and rank. Besides, the scientists were eager to test the newly developed tracking device. Most trackers are too big to fit on small and medium sized birds, and small trackers tend to be limited when it comes to data storage, battery life, and reusability. The new tracker, weighing less than 1 gram, was designed to overcome these problems. Attached to a backpack-like harness (背带) which could not be removed easily, the device can re-charge wirelessly and transmit (传输) data wirelessly. The scientists placed trackers on five magpies using their special harnesses. Things started to fall apart almost immediately. Within 10 minutes of fitting the final tracker, an adult female without a tracker tried to remove the harness from a younger bird and eventually succeeded. This pattern was repeated in the following hours, and by the third day none of the birds had trackers anymore. Scientists refer to this as“rescue behavior,” and it happens when a helper tries to free another individual in trouble and with no obvious direct benefit to the rescuing individual. They think this is the first time rescue behavior has been reported for Australian magpies. However, they aren’t sure if the same individual removed all of the harnesses or if others offered help. The team didn’t get the data they wanted, but their experiment still produced interesting results. That’s how science works sometimes. The scientists need to try, again to figure out a good way to track these clever birds. 12. What can we learn about Australian magpies from paragraph 2? A. They outsmart crows. B. They are social species. C. They are rarely spotted. D. They learn from each other. 13. What is a big advantage of the new tracking device? A. It can work without wires. B. It can be applied to all birds. C. It doesn’t come off the birds. D. It doesn’t need to be re-charged. 14. What happened to the magpies after the trackers were attached to them? A. They couldn’t fly as normal. B. They were warned by other magpies. C. They helped each other to remove the trackers. D. They were driven out of their home by other adult magpies. 15. Which can be the best title for the text? A. Magpies Teach Scientists an Unexpected Lesson B. Climate Change Makes Magpies More Difficult C. The Trackers Help Magpies Get Used to Nature D. Magpies Are Adjusting to the Trackers on Their Bodies 【答案】12. B 13. A 14. C 15. 根据第二段“They live in groups of up to 12 birds and work together to defend the area they live in.(它们通常以12只为一群生活在一起,并共同协作来保卫它们所栖息的区域)”可知,澳大利亚喜鹊是群居动物。 根据第四段“Attached to a backpack-like harness (背带) which could not be removed easily, the device can re-charge wirelessly and transmit (传输) data wirelessly.(它被安装在一个类似背包的背带上(无法轻易取下),可以无线充电并无线传输数据)”可知,这种新型追踪设备的最大优点是无需电线即可工作。故选A。 根据第五段“Within 10 minutes of fitting the final tracker, an adult female without a tracker tried to remove the harness from a younger bird and eventually succeeded. This pattern was repeated in the following hours, and by the third day none of the birds had trackers anymore.(在安装最后一个追踪器后的 10 分钟内,一只没有追踪器的成年雌鸟试图从一只较年轻的鸟身上取下背带,最终成功了。 故选A。 In the noisy subway, Li Zining is focused on the audiobook of “The Three-Body Problem.” She is part of Generation Z, digital natives. 【16题详解】 结合前文“This generation, making up nearly one-fifth of China’s population, is more likely to download e-books onto their devices than to visit bookstores or libraries.(这一代人占中国人口的近五分之一,他们更有可能在设备上下载电子书,而不是去书店或图书馆。)” G“These preferences are reflected in their reading habits and interactions with media.(这些偏好反映在他们的阅读习惯和与媒体的互动中。)”中“These preferences”指代前文的“偏爱数字阅读”,在句意上承接了前文话题;同时,句中的“their reading habits and interactions with media(他们的阅读习惯和与媒体的互动)”应是呼应下段内容“Platforms like WeChat Reading and Zhangyue have many Gen Z users...(微信阅读和掌阅等平台拥有众多Z世代用户…… 【17题详解】 根据后文“She finds e-reading very flexible and cost-effective.(她发现电子阅读非常灵活且具有成本效益。)” C“For instance, Chen Wenting is a subscriber to some reading apps.(例如,陈文婷(Chen Wenting)是一些阅读应用程序的订阅者。)” 【18题详解】 根据后文“Thus, it enhances a sense of community and interaction.(因此,它增强了社区感和互动感。)” E“They have a tendency to share their thoughts and comments on social media.(他们倾向于在社交媒体上分享自己的想法和评论。)” 根据后文“Xiao Xia, a college student, finds that reading with a friend helps keep schedules on track and offers fresh perspectives. On platforms like WeChat Reading, users can interact with others by highlighting and commenting on specific sentences.(大学生小夏(Xiao Xia)发现,与朋友一起阅读有助于保持日程安排,并提供新的视角。 D“Finding like-minded ‘reading friends’ is popular among Gen Z readers.(寻找志同道合的“读书朋友”在Z世代读者中很受欢迎。)” F“Overall, Generation Z are transforming the landscape of literature and reading.(总体而言,Z世代正在改变文学和阅读的格局。)”中“Overall”是总结信号词,在句意上概括了前文所有内容,起到全文总结的作用,且引出后文“They embrace digital platforms and interactive reading experiences, making it more accessible and engaging than ever before.(他们拥抱数字平台和互动阅读体验,使其比以往任何时候都更容易访问和参与。)” 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分40分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) I’ve never met Mrs. Poddar, the owner of the house where I am living in this foreign country. I was over the moon — I had only ever seen the Great Wall and the Forbidden City in books, and now I would actually get to walk through history! For weeks, I imagined the towering palaces, the red-and-gold gates, and the stories hidden in every corner. Finally, the day arrived, and there I was, standing in the heart of Beijing, staring up at the most magnificent buildings I had ever seen. The Forbidden City was even more incredible in real life. The golden roofs shone under the sun, the delicate carvings told silent tales of emperors and warriors, and the vast courtyards made me feel like I had stepped into a fairy tale. Every turn revealed something new — a dragon statue, a marble staircase, a hidden garden — and I couldn’t stop taking pictures, desperate to capture every detail. My parents laughed as I dragged them from one spot to another, insisting on yet another photo. What struck me most were the colors. The imperial yellow of the rooftops against the deep red walls looked brighter than any picture could show. Even the stone pathways seemed to glow with centuries of footsteps. I remembered running my fingers along a carved marble railing, wondering how many hands had touched that same spot over six hundred years. The place was packed with tourists, all murmuring in different languages, their faces filled with the same amazement as mine. Some pointed at the architecture, others posed for pictures, and a few just stood quietly, taking it all in. The energy was infectious — everyone seemed to feel the magic of this ancient place. As the afternoon wore on, we followed the crowd toward the exit. The sea of people was overwhelming, and I, being small for my age, grasped my father's hand tightly, afraid to get lost in the rushing crowd. The noise, the heat, and the excitement made everything feel like a blur — until suddenly, I looked down at the large hand I was holding — the wrong watch, the wrong-colored ring. My blood turned to ice. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ There he was, just three people away. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】One possible version: My blood turned to ice. My heart pounded violently when I realized I was holding a stranger’s hand. I looked up at the man — he had kind eyes and a gentle smile. “Are you lost?” he asked, crouching down to my height. I nodded, fighting back tears. Without hesitation, he asked a nearby guard for help, describing my parents and keeping me calm. Though he was a stranger, his patience and warmth made the terrifying moment feel a little safer. Then I heard Dad’s voice calling my name. There he was, just three people away. He came rushing toward me through the crowd, his face pale with worry. The second he saw me, his shoulders relaxed, and he pulled me into a tight hug. He thanked the kind stranger again and again, his voice shaking. As we walked away, I glanced back at the man, already lost in the crowd. That day, I learned something — Beijing’s beauty wasn’t just in its golden rooftops or ancient walls, but in people like him, who stopped to help a scared little child. 词汇激活 行为类: ①怦怦地跳:pound/throb/beat rapidly ②求助:ask for help/seek assistance ③冲:rush/hurry/dash 情绪类: ①恐惧:scared/frightened/terrified ②担心:worry/anxiety/concern 【点睛】[高分句型1] I nodded, fighting back tears.(运用了现在分词短语作伴随状语) [高分句型2] He came rushing toward me through the crowd, his face pale with worry.(运用了独立主格结构作伴随状语) [高分句型3] That day, I learned something — Beijing’s beauty wasn’t just in its golden rooftops or ancient walls, but in people like him, who stopped to help a scared little child.(运用了who引导的非限定性定语从句) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 永春一中高一年期中考英语科试卷 考试时间120分钟,试卷总分150分 第一部分:听力(共两节,满分30分) 第一节 听下面5段对话。 1.What does the woman think of the opera? B My birth was a little more dramatic than the standard way a baby enters the world. 4. C One of my bad habits is saying “busy” when people ask me how I’m doing. A. Bored with. D Scientists in Australia thought they had developed a new tracking device to help them monitor magpies (喜鹊), but these birds had other ideas. A They outsmart crows. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
