After graduating from high school, I moved to Los Angeles. I earned a degree in video production there. Fortune smiled upon me as I quickly worked as a production helper. I was young and ambitious, doing my best in my dream work. One day, I worked as a volunteer at an award show. A production manager talked with me and said that I was going to be a “big fish” one day. I was praised, but frightened. I wasn’t sure whether I could bear the pressure of being a “big fish”. Not too long after the show, I was laid off from my position at the production company. I went back home to Florida to think about my next career move. In Florida, I found a job in a financial company. The pay was good, and the work was not difficult. But a few months later, my creative spirit sent an SOS to my brain. It reminded me that I wasn’t making the best use of my talents. I didn’t have the money to make another cross-country move back to Los Angeles, but I couldn’t wait to create something. I did some creative writing during my spare time. To motivate myself even further, I promised myself a children’s storybook. My goal didn’t end there, however. I also decided to get the book published. It was not easy, and I continued sending out my work for nearly four years. Finally my work attracted the interest of a publisher. When I held a copy of my beautiful children’s book in my hands, I felt really happy from the bottom of my heart. I may not have become a big fish, but I did achieve a goal. Success comes from efforts. When you have something to fight for, you’re not far from success. 4. The author went to Los Angeles to ______. A. find a high-paid job B. reach for her dream C. visit a famous film director D. take part in volunteer activities 5. What was the author’s reaction to the production manager’s comments on her? A. Proud. B. Delighted. C. Uncertain. D. Disappointed. 6. What does the author think of her job in Florida? A. It lacks challenges. B. It requires a higher degree. C. It often takes up her free time. D. It can hardly support her family. 7. Which of the following sayings can best explain the theme of the passage? A. A good beginning makes a good ending. B. A thousand mile trip begins with one step. C. Never judge a person by appearance. D. Where there is a will, there is a way. C The printed book is back. Recent studies have shown that students remember more information when they read a paper book compared to reading an e-book. One school responded to these findings by ditching its e-readers (电子阅读器). The students found that “the ease of navigation (导航)” was greater when using a traditional book. I love the way we now judge printed books using the language of the digital world. E-books may come with “navigational tools,” but it turns out the best navigational tools are the “devices” at the ends of your arms. You can use them to flip the pages forward and backward. Fans of digital books may point out that e-readers have a handy “search” tool. Old-fashioned books also have a search function, in which you turn back to the opening part to help you remember the hero’s name. They even have a “bookmark system, ” which uses something called a “bookmark.” Can a traditional book offer all the features of an e-book? Alas, no. It has no “progress bar (进度条)” indicating how much of the book has been read. Luckily, a clever tip is available: turn your book so that it can be viewed from the side or top. It will naturally form two parts joined in the middle. If the left part is thicker than the right one, you are more than halfway through. Admittedly, e-books are lighter than paper books, but one must question whether this is really an advantage. In secondary school my body figure was actually transformed by the daily need to carry textbooks. For me and my fellow students, these weighty books would draw our shoulders back and our chests forward. Educational fashions come and go, so maybe the return of traditional books won’t last. But for the moment, I find myself welcoming their wonderful return. 8. Which expression can best replace the underlined “ditching” in paragraph 1? A. Referring to. B. Getting rid of. C. Getting used to. D. Making use of. 9. What can serve as the “navigational tool” of printed books? A. Bookmarks. B. Fingers. C. The progress bar. D. The opening part. 10. Why does the writer give the example in paragraph 5? A. To explain an opposing idea. B. To provide additional information. C. To support the author’s argument. D. To connect paragraph 5 and 6. 11. What might be the best title? A. Printed books — Great Benefits B. Printed books — A Bright Future C. Printed books — A Welcomed Return D. Printed books — Better than E-books D When I mentioned to some friends that we all have accents (口音), most of them proudly replied, “Well, I speak perfect English/ Chinese/ etc." But this kind of response makes me fail to understand the true meaning of accents. Usually, what we mean when we say someone “has an accent” is that their accent is different from the local one, or that pronunciations are different from our own. But this definition of accents is limiting and could give rise to prejudice. Funnily enough, in terms of the language study, every person speaks with an accent. It is the regular differences in how we produce sounds that define our accents. Even if you don’t hear it yourself, you speak with some sort of accent. In this sense, it’s pointless to point out that someone “has an accent”. We all do! Every person speaks a dialect (方言), too. In the field of language study, a dialect is a version of a language that is characterized by its variations of structure, phrases and words. For instance, “You got eat or not?” (meaning “Have you eaten?”) is an acceptable and understood question in Singapore Oral English. The fact that this expression would cause a standard American English speaker to take pause doesn’t mean that Singapore Oral English is “wrong” or “ungrammatical”. The sentence is well-formed and clearly communicative, according to native Singapore English speakers’ solid system of grammar. Why should it be wrong just because it’s different? We need to move beyond a narrow conception of accents and dialects — for the benefit of everyone. Language differences like these provide deep understandings into people’s cultural experiences and backgrounds. In a global age, the way one speaks is definitely a part of one’s identity. Most people would be happy to talk about the cultures behind their speech. We’d learn more about the world we live in and make friends along the way. 12. What does the author think of his/ her friends’ response in paragraph 1? A. It reflects their self-confidence. B. It reflects their language levels. C. It misses the point of communication. D. It misses the real meaning of accents. 13. Why does the author use the example of Singapore Oral English? A. To support the use of dialects. B. To show the diversity of dialects. C. To correct a grammatical mistake. D. To highlight a traditional approach. 14. What does the author recommend us to do in the last paragraph? A. Learn to speak with your local dialect. B. Seek for an official definition of accents. C. Appreciate the value of accents and dialects. D. Distinguish our local languages from others’. 15. What can be a suitable title for this passage? A. Everyone Has an Accent B. Accents Weaken Our Uniqueness C. Dialects Lead to Misunderstanding D. Jenny wandered aimlessly in the street for hours and she felt a little hungry and wished for something to eat, but it was not possible for her, since she had nothing with her. She stood beside a stand for a while, watching the middle-aged seller busy doing his business. However, with no money in hand, she sighed and had to leave. The seller behind the stand noticed the young girl and asked, “Hey, girl, you want to have the noodles?” “Oh, yes... but I don’t have money on me…” she replied. “That’s nothing. I’ll treat you,” said the man. “Come in.” The seller brought her a bowl of noodles, whose smell was so attractive. D 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇记叙文。本文讲述了作者为了追求自己的梦想,从视频制作到金融行业,最终通过不懈努力成为一名儿童书籍作家的经历。文章强调成功来自于努力和坚持,只要有追求和目标,成功就不会太遥远。 【4题详解】 推理判断题。根据第一段“After graduating from high school, I moved to Los Angeles. I earned a degree in video production there. Fortune smiled upon me as I quickly worked as a production helper. I was young and ambitious, doing my best in my dream work. (高中毕业后,我搬到了洛杉矶。我在那里获得了视频制作学位。幸运之神向我微笑,我很快就成为了一名生产助手。我年轻有为,在我梦想的工作中竭尽全力。)”可知,作者去洛杉矶是为了实现自己的梦想。故选B。 【5题详解】 细节理解题。根据第二段“ I was praised, but frightened. I wasn’t sure whether I could bear the pressure of being a “big fish”.(我受到了表扬,但也受到了惊吓。我不确定自己是否能承受“大鱼”的压力。)”可知,作者听到生产经理的评价后,不确定自己是否能承受这样的压力。故选C。 【6题详解】 推理判断题。根据第三段“ The pay was good, and the work was not difficult. But a few months later, my creative spirit sent an SOS to my brain. It reminded me that I wasn’t making the best use of my talents.( 工资不错,工作也不困难。但几个月后,我的创意精神向我的大脑发出了求救信号。它提醒我,我没有充分利用自己的才能。)”可知,在弗洛里达的工作工资不错,工作也不困难,但是作者认为他在佛罗里达的工作没有挑战。故选A。 【7题详解】 主旨大意题。根据最后一段“ Success comes from efforts. When you have something to fight for, you’re not far from success.( 成功来自努力。当你有奋斗的目标时,你就离成功不远了。)”以及通读全文可知,本文讲述了作者为了追求自己的梦想,从视频制作到金融行业,最终通过不懈努力成为一名儿童书籍作家的经历。文章强调成功来自于努力和坚持,只要有追求和目标,成功就不会太遥远。D选项“Where there is a will, there is a way.(有志者,事竟成)。”概括文章的主题。故选D。 C The printed book is back. Printed books — Better than E-books 【答案】8. B 9. B 10. C 11. C 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇议论文。文章围绕纸质书籍与电子书之间的对比和讨论展开,提出了关于阅读方式、书籍功能、携带便利性等方面的观点和看法。 【8题详解】 词句猜测题。根据划线词上文“Recent studies have shown that students remember more information when they read a paper book compared to reading an e-book(近期研究表明,与阅读电子书相比,学生在阅读纸质书时能记住更多信息)”可知,研究表明学生在阅读纸质书时能记住更多信息。再根据划线词组所在句“One school responded to these findings by ditching its e-readers(电子阅读器).(一所学校根据这些研究结果,_____其电子阅读器)”可推测,既然纸质书更好,那么这所学校应该是放弃了电子阅读器。所以,划线词ditching为“放弃”之意。选项A“Referring to (提及)”;选项B“Getting rid of (摆脱、除去)”;选项C“Getting used to (习惯于)”;选项D“Making use of (利用)”。故选B。 【9题详解】 推理判断题。根据文章第二段“E-books may come with “navigational tools,” but it turns out the best navigational tools are the “devices” at the ends of your arms. You can use them to flip the pages forward and backward.(电子书可能配备了“导航工具”,但事实证明,最好的导航工具是你手臂末端的“装置”——你可以用它们来前后翻页。)”可推测,这里的“手臂末端的‘装置’”指的就是手指,所以手指可以作为纸质书的“导航工具”。故选B。 【10题详解】 推理判断题。根据文章第五段“Admittedly, e-books are lighter than paper books, but one must question whether this is really an advantage. In secondary school my body figure was actually transformed by the daily need to carry textbooks. For me and my fellow students, these weighty books would draw our shoulders back and our chests forward.(诚然,电子书比纸质书轻,但人们不禁要问,这真的是一个优势吗?在中学时,我每天需要携带课本,这实际上改变了我的体型。对我和我的同学们来说,这些沉重的书籍让我们的肩膀后展,胸部前挺)”可推测,作者给出了自己中学时因为每天需要携带课本而塑造了体型这一例子,这个例子支持了作者的观点,即电子书轻便这一特点并不一定是优势,因为携带纸质书也可以带来一些好处,如塑造体型。故选C。 【11题详解】 主旨大意题。根据文章第一段“The printed book is back. Recent studies have shown that students remember more information when they read a paper book compared to reading an e-book.(纸质书籍回归了。近期研究表明,与阅读电子书相比,学生在阅读纸质书时能记住更多信息)”以及全文内容可知,文章从多个方面对纸质书籍和电子书进行了对比和讨论,最后一段提到“But for the moment, I find myself welcoming their wonderful return(但就目前而言,我发现自己对它们美妙的回归表示欢迎)”点明了文章的主旨,即纸质书籍的回归是受欢迎的,即“印刷书籍-欢迎回归”可能是最好的标题。故选C。 D When I mentioned to some friends that we all have accents (口音), most of them proudly replied, “Well, I speak perfect English/ Chinese/ etc." But this kind of response makes me fail to understand the true meaning of accents. Standard English Is at Risk 【答案】12. D 13. A 14. C 15. A 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇议论文。主要论述了每个人都有口音。从这个意义上说,指出某人“有口音”是毫无意义的。语言差异可以帮助人们洞察他人的文化经历和背景,因此我们要欣赏口音和方言的价值。 【12题详解】 推理判断题。根据第一段“When I mentioned to some friends that we all have accents, most of them proudly replied, “Well, I speak perfect English/ Chinese/ etc." But this kind of response makes me fail to understand the true meaning of accents.(当我跟一些朋友提到我们每个人说话都有口音时,他们中的大多数人都自豪地回答:“哦,我说的是标准的英语或汉语等等。” 但这种回应让我无法理解口音的真正含义。)”可知,作者认为他或她的朋友的回应忽略了口音的真正含义。故选D。 【13题详解】 推理判断题。根据第三段第一句“Every person speaks a dialect, too. (每个人也会说一种方言。)”及本段后文“American English speaker to take pause doesn’t mean that Singapore Oral English is “wrong” or “ungrammatical”. The sentence is well-formed and clearly communicative, according to native Singapore English speakers’ solid system of grammar. Why should it be wrong just because it’s different?(以美式英语为母语的人会停顿,这并不意味着新加坡英语口语是 “错误的” 或 “不合语法的”。按照新加坡英语母语者自成体系的语法规则,这个句子结构规范,表意清晰。仅仅因为它与众不同,就该被视为错误吗?)”可知,作者认为不能因为它不同就认为它是错的。所以作者使用新加坡口语的例子是为了证明使用方言是可以接受的。故选A。 【14题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段“Language differences like these provide deep understandings into people’s cultural experiences and backgrounds. In a global age, the way one speaks is definitely a part of one’s identity. Most people would be happy to talk about the cultures behind their speech. We’d learn more about the world we live in and make friends along the way.(诸如此类的语言差异能让我们深入了解人们的文化经历和背景。在全球化时代,一个人的说话方式无疑是其身份认同的一部分。大多数人会很乐意谈论自己语言背后的文化。这样一来,我们会更多地了解我们所生活的世界,还能在这个过程中交到朋友。)”可知, 作者在最后一段中建议我们欣赏口音和方言的价值。故选C。 【15题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第二段“In this sense, it’s pointless to point out that someone “has an accent”. We all do! (从这个意义上说,指出某人“有口音”是毫无意义的。我们都有!)”以及第三段“Every person speaks a dialect, too. (每个人也会说一种方言。)”可知,作者认为每个人都有口音,而且作者在最后一段指出不同的口音可以让我们更多地了解我们生活的世界,并在这一过程中结交朋友。故A项“Everyone Has an Accent (每个人都有口音)”最能概括本文主旨。故选A。 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Friendship plays an important role in our life. As Cameron says, “This is the beginning of opening up a new frontier.” 【答案】36. has been explored 37. than 38. hidden 39. an 40. variety 41. that##which 42. deepest 43. roughly 44. to complete 45. in 【解析】 【导语】这是一篇说明文。主要介绍了海洋仍是未知领域,仅探索了5%。新技术助力科学家研究深海,如用DeepSea探测海底山、并发现可能治病的物种以及通过深海探索可以揭示海啸成因。 【36题详解】 考查动词时态和语态。句意:目前仅有5%被探索过。分析句子可知,句中存在时间状语so far,因此使用现在完成时,主语Only 5 percent of it表单数含义,与谓语动词explore之间为被动关系,根据主谓一致原则,谓语使用第三人称单数形式。故填has been explored。 【37题详解】 考查介词。句意:事实上,我们对火星某些区域的了解甚至超过了对地球海洋某些部分的了解。分析句子可知,more是“much”的比较级,表示程度上的“更多”,more+than是比较级结构,用于比较两者的差异。故填than。 【38题详解】 考查形容词。句意:然而,新的技术正在帮助科学家探索这些隐藏的世界。设空处作定语修饰 worlds,填形容词hidden“隐藏的”。故填hidden。 【39题详解】 考查冠词。句意:例如,科学家们正在使用一种名为“深海”的水下探测器来研究海底山——也就是水下山脉。vehicle为可数名词,此处表示“一种水下探测器”,为泛指,且underwater起始音是元音音素,因此使用不定冠词an。故填an。 【40题详解】 考查固定短语。句意:各种各样的物种生活在拉斯吉梅拉斯周围。分析句子可知,a variety of是固定搭配意为“多种多样的”,修饰可数名词复数,这里使用vary的名词形式variety。故填variety。 【41题详解】 考查定语从句。句意:其中一些物种可能拥有能够帮助人类对抗疾病的化学物质。分析句子可知,设空处引导一个定语从句,先行词是chemicals,在从句中作主语,因此使用that或which引导定语从句。故填that/which。 故填to complete。 【45题详解】 考查固定短语。句意:深海探索还以其他方式帮助了我们。分析句子可知,这里“in other ways”表示“用其他方式”是固定搭配,在句中作状语。故填in。 第四部分 任务型阅读(共两节,满分20分) 阅读下面材料,完成相关题目要求。 Jenny was the only child in her home. She had a quarrel with her mother that afternoon and she ran out of the house angrily. She couldn’t help weeping (哭泣) sorrowfully when she thought of the scolding (责骂) from her mother. As she was eating, Jenny cried silently. “What is it?” asked the man kindly. “Nothing, actually I was just touched by your kindness!” said Jenny as she wiped her tears. “Even a stranger on the street will give me a bowl of noodles, while my mother drove me out of the house. She showed no care for me. She is so merciless (无情的) compared to a stranger!” Hearing the words, the seller smiled, “Girl, do you really think so? I only gave you a bowl of noodles and you thank me a lot. But it is your mother who has raised you since you were baby. Can you remember the times she cooked for you? Have you expressed your gratitude to her?” 46. 根据文本内容从方框中选择恰当的词并用其正确形式填入文本图示中,每词限用一次,有两词为多余选项 kind      treat     care about      complain      expect      move      angry      wander     care for      hunger     sorrow     possible One afternoon Jenny quarreled with her mother and left home with _________. Jenny would understand her mother better and try to deal with family conflicts in a better way. 【解析】 【导语】这是一篇记叙文。主要讲述了一个与母亲争吵后离家出走的少女珍妮,在街头遇到一位善良的面条摊贩,他的善举让珍妮意识到自己没有感恩母亲。 【46题详解】 ①考查名词。根据第一段第二句话“She had a quarrel with her mother that afternoon and she ran out of the house angrily. (那天下午,她和妈妈吵了一架,生气地冲出了家门。)”可知,原句使用副词angrily修饰动词ran,本空在介词with后,应选所给形容词angry,并变为名词形式。故填anger。 ②考查形容词。根据第一段第三句话“She couldn’t help weeping (哭泣) sorrowfully when she thought of the scolding (责骂) from her mother. (她一想到妈妈对她的热责骂,就忍不住难过地哭起来。)”可知,原句中使用副词sorrowfully修饰动词短语couldn’t help weeping,本空在系动词felt后,应使用sorrowfully的形容词形式。故填sorrowful。 ③考查非谓语动词。根据第一段第四句“Jenny wandered aimlessly in the street for hours and she felt a little hungry and wished for something to eat, but it was not possible for her, since she had nothing with her. (珍妮在街上漫无目的地闲逛了好几个小时,她感到有点饿,想吃点东西,但她吃不了,因为她身上什么也没有。)”可知,原句中使用动词wandered作谓语,本空应是现在分词短语作时间状语,应使用wander的现在分词形式。故填Wandering。 ④考查动词。根据第一段第四句“Jenny wandered aimlessly in the street for hours and she felt a little hungry and wished for something to eat, but it was not possible for her, since she had nothing with her. (珍妮在街上漫无目的地闲逛了好几个小时,她感到有点饿,想吃点东西,但她吃不了,因为她身上什么也没有。)”可知,原句表达她“想吃点东西”使用的是动词短语wished for,本空处进行同义词替换,应选及物动词expect,并变为过去式。故填expected。 ⑤考查形容词。根据第一段第四句“Jenny wandered aimlessly in the street for hours and she felt a little hungry and wished for something to eat, but it was not possible for her, since she had nothing with her. (珍妮在街上漫无目的地闲逛了好几个小时,她感到有点饿,想吃点东西,但她吃不了,因为她身上什么也没有。)”可知,原句表达“不可能”使用的是否定句“it was not possible”,本空处是肯定句,应将所给词中的possible前加否定前缀,表达“不可能”之意。故填impossible。 ⑥考查动词。根据原文“‘That’s nothing. I’ll treat you, ’ said the man. (男人说:“没关系,我请你。”)”可知,应选treat,并根据本空前的分句中使用了过去时,应用动词treat的过去式。故填treated。 ⑦考查动词。根据倒数第二段第一句“‘Nothing, actually I was just touched by your kindness! ’ said Jenny as she wiped her tears. (“没什么,我只是被你的善良感动了!”珍妮边摸眼泪边说。)”可知,原句使用“touched”一词表示感动,本空应进行同义替换,选move并变为其过去分词形式表示被动。故填moved。 ⑧考查名词。根据倒数第二段第一句“‘Nothing, actually I was just touched by your kindness! ’ said Jenny as she wiped her tears. (“没什么,我只是被你的善良感动了!”珍妮边摸眼泪边说。)”可知,应选kind,且由于本空在名词所有格the seller’s后,应填kind的名词形式,表示“小贩的善良”。故填kindness。 ⑨考查动词。根据倒数第二段最后两句话“She showed no care for me. She is so merciless (无情的) compared to a stranger! (她不关心我。跟陌生人比,她太无情了!)”可知,此处是珍妮在向小贩抱怨妈妈的无情,应选动词complain。并根据本空前的分句中使用了过去时,应用complain的过去式。故填complained。 ⑩考查动词短语。根据倒数第二段最后两句话“She showed no care for me. She is so merciless (无情的) compared to a stranger! (她不关心我。跟陌生人比,她太无情了!)”可知,原句中使用动词短语showed no care for表示“不关心”,此处应进行同义替换,选动词短语care about表达“关心”之意,放在助动词didn’t之后。故填care about。 【47题详解】 考查细节理解。根据全文第一句话“Jenny was the only child in her home. (珍妮是家中唯一的孩子。)”可知,她是家中唯一的孩子。故答案为:There was only one child in Jenny’s family.。 【48题详解】 考查细节理解。根据第一段第二句和第三句话“She had a quarrel with her mother that afternoon and she ran out of the house angrily. She couldn’t help weeping (哭泣) sorrowfully when she thought of the scolding (责骂) from her mother. (那天下午,她和妈妈吵了一架,生气地冲出了家门。她一想到妈妈对她的热责骂,就忍不住难过地哭起来。)”可知,她与妈妈吵架了,并冲出家门,她感到生气和难过。故答案为:Jenny felt angry and sorrowful because she quarreled with her mother. 【49题详解】 考查推理判断。根据最后一段最后三句“ But it is your mother who has raised you since you were baby. Can you remember the times she cooked for you? Have you expressed your gratitude to her? (但是你的母亲从你还是婴儿时就抚养你长大。你能记得她为你做饭的那些时光吗?你向她表达过你的感激之情吗?)”可知,小贩是引导珍妮感恩母亲为她付出的一切,因此可以推断,珍妮回家后会向妈妈道歉,请求她原谅自己的一时冲动,与妈妈和解,并更好地理解妈妈,尝试以更好的方式处理家庭矛盾。故答案为:Jenny would come back home, make an apology to her mother for her impulsion to leave home and try to compromise. Jenny would understand her mother better and try to deal with family conflicts in a better way. 第五部分 写作(满分20分) 50. 假定你是李华,你的美国笔友John发邮件询问你步入高中后在英语学习方面遇到的挑战,请你回复邮件告诉他你在英语学习时遇到的困难,内容包括: 1. 你面临的主要挑战; 2. 你的应对方法; 3. 你的反思和感想。 注意: 1. 写作词数应为100词左右; 2. 可以适当增加细节以使行文连贯; 3. 不得出现真实的人名或地名。 _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】Dear John, How’s everything going? I’m writing this letter to share the challenges I have met in learning English and the solutions to deal with them with you. Since I entered the senior high school, I have come across many challenges in learning, especially in English learning. I struggled a lot in writing English compositions and remembering English words was also a big headache for me. I failed my test and felt rather upset. But I decided to face up to the difficulties rather than run away. First of all, I turned to my English teacher for help, who advised me to remember words in sentences. My classmates suggested making word cards so that I could read the words whenever and wherever I could. Luckily, I made great progress step by step. As for English writing, my English teacher recommended that I should read more books in English and spare no effort to write as many English articles as possible. Just as the old saying goes, practice makes perfect. I made advances day by day. Now, I still think English learning a bit challenging, but I do like learning English. The experience made me more confident in English. I was so proud of myself since I met the challenges bravely. Yours, Li Hua 【解析】 【导语】本篇书面表达属于告知信。要求考生给美国笔友John回封邮件,告诉他自己在英语学习时遇到的困难、应对方法和反思及感想。 【详解】1. 词汇积累: 解决、应对:deal with→tackle 偶遇:come across→encounter 记住:remember→memorize 幸运地:luckily→fortunately 取得进步:make progress→make advances 2. 句式拓展: 同义句转换: 原句:My classmates suggested making word cards so that I could read the words whenever and wherever I could. 拓展句:My classmates suggested making word cards to read the words whenever and wherever I could. 【点睛】【高分句型1】First of all, I turned to my English teacher for help, who advised me to remember words in sentences.(运用了以关系代词who引导的非限制性定语从句。) 【高分句型2】As for English writing, my English teacher recommended that I should read more books in English and spare no effort to write as many English articles as possible.(运用了以连接词that引导的宾语从句和虚拟语气。) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
