People say that robots will do human jobs with the development of AI(人工智能).A report shows that AI can do 25% of the work of humans. Thankfully, there is not all bad news. There are still things AI cannot do. These jobs need human’s feelings and new ideas.
Martin Ford, a writer of AI topics, says AI cannot perform as well as humans in three kinds of jobs.
First, the really creative(有创造力的)jobs. Humans can come up with new ideas and build something new. However, AI mostly uses the knowledge it learned before.
Second, the communicating jobs, such as nurses, business leaders and reporters. “These people need to understand others deeply. I think it’ll be a long time before AI has this kind of ability,” says Ford.
Third, the jobs that need lots of dexterity(灵活性)and problem-solving abilities.AI often works under the direction of humans. It’s hard for AI to solve problems all by itself.
In short, AI was made by humans and it can help humans live a better life. If you are worried about your future jobs, you can try to look for ones that need your high emotional quotient(EQ)(情商)and creative thinking. Those are where humans are different from AI.
根据语篇内容,选择正确答案。
26. What percent of human work can AI do?
A. 15% B. 25% C. 35%
27. Which kind of job does Martin Ford think AI is not good at first?
A. Creative jobs. B. Communicating jobs. C. Jobs needing dexterity.
28. Why is it difficult for AI to do jobs needing problem-solving abilities?
A. Because it can’t come up with new ideas.
B. Because it often needs humans to direct it.
C. Because it can’t understand others deeply.
29. What is the Chinese meaning of the underlined word “communicating”?
A. 创造的 B. 交流的 C. 灵活的
30. What is the main idea of the passage?
A. AI will take all human jobs in the future.
B. Martin Ford has written many books about AI.
C. AI can do some work but can’t replace humans in certain jobs.

Curiosity is key! Thomas Edison failed 1,000 times before inventing the light bulb (电灯泡). But he never gave up! He wondered, “How can I make light without fire?” and kept trying. So, next time you see a problem, think carefully and stay curious, and maybe you will invent something great!

例文
Hi, Jake,
I hope you’re doing well. I know you’ve been hooked on social media and feel uneasy in real-life social situations—that might be social anxiety. Spending too much time online often makes it hard to interact face to face.
To feel better, try limiting screen time first. Then, hang out more with friends or family—small talks with them can build your confidence. You could also join a hobby club to meet people with the same interests.
Remember, it’s OK to feel nervous—many people do! Just take things one step at a time, and you’ll improve.
Yours,
Zhang Qi

The way you look is special. Do you know what I mean by that? We all look a little different. Some of us are tall. Some of us are fat. The point is, all of us have our own look—our own face.
Sometimes, we might feel bad about looking different. We might feel like we look ugly or weird (怪异的). But our differences are what makes us special.
I recently watched a speech by a man named Robert Hoge. Hoge was born with a strange-looking face. His mother worried about the difficulties he would face in life.
But Hoge didn’t give up. Strangers would stare at him or even make fun of him. But he didn’t care. He decided to accept his face and feel confident in himself. He has gone on to live an amazing life.
It’s hard when you feel like you don’t look “normal (正常的)” or “perfect (完美的)”. But the truth is, no one is perfect. The important thing to remember is that you are special, no matter what you look like.

B Martin Ford has written many books about AI.
C. AI can do some work but can’t replace humans in certain jobs.

Inventions are amazing! They can help solve real problems. Long ago, people got tired from walking—so the wheel (轮子) was invented! Now, cars and bikes make travel easy.
New ideas start from thinking. Isaac Newton saw an apple fall and thought, “Why does it drop?” That led to the understanding of gravity (地球引力)! The microwave oven (微波炉) was invented by accident when Percy Spencer noticed his chocolate melted (融化) near a special machine. Oh no-but delicious!
Curiosity is key! Thomas Edison failed 1,000 times before inventing the light bulb (电灯泡). But he never gave up! He wondered, “How can I make light without fire?” and kept trying. So, next time you see a problem, think carefully and stay curious, and maybe you will invent something great!
