For the teaching philosophy is designed based on the English Curriculum Standards to develop students’ core competencies. It is implemented bt the Activity-based Approach to English Learning, which integrates teaching, learning, and evaluation into a cohesive process and builds upon Larsen-Freeman’s Three Dimensions of Grammar to facilitate a holistic understanding of language use.
Analysis of Teaching Material
What:
①Theme: The primary theme is “Human and Nature”, and the sub theme is “the author’s experience in Sarek Park”.
②Content: The text can be divided into two main parts.
Why:
①The text helps improve students’ reading skills, such as skimming for main ideas and scanning for specific details.
②It aims to inspire students to reflect on the relationship between humans and nature.
How:
①Genre: Narrative descriptive text, blending elements of a travelogue and an informational article.
②Content: Specific details of “when, where, what ,who” provides easy understanding.
③Language usage: A mix of past tense( for historical context) and present tense( for current facts and the immediate narrative).

1.I’m in the remote far north of Sweden in Sarek National Park, a place with no roads or towns.
2.Getting here is quite difficult, so apart from the Sami very few people have ever seen Sarek…Tough the Sami are allowed to continue their traditional way of life in the park, no one else can live here, and all new development is banned within park boundaries.
