Camping provides outdoor lovers with the relaxation of the mind and inner peace. Here are some common ways to camp. Tent Camping This is the most basic and common way of camping. You can put up a tent in a park, on the beach, in the woods, or anywhere else you like, enjoying a few nights. Tent camping is a great choice for people who don’t want to spend a lot of money to get started. It is perfect for families with children because it creates a special time for parents and kids. Hiking Camping Hiking camping, also known as backpacking, is a type of outdoor camping where you spend the whole day hiking with necessary equipment (设备) on your back. It can last anywhere from a few days to several months. It gives you the chance to get closer to nature. In case of an emergency (紧急情况), you’d better share your travel plans with someone. Survival Camping In this type of camping, you need to learn a variety of skills to stay safe in various outdoor conditions. You will search for food on your own in the wild and take emergency medical measures in the event of danger. It would be a good idea to have a partner with a wealth of experience in the wild. RV Camping If you go camping in a motorhome (旅宿车), you will have more time to enjoy the outdoors. With a motorhome, you have almost everything at home, including comfortable beds, kitchens and entertainment. A key step is to find a suitable place for parking. You can also cook and enjoy food in the car and it will feel great. However, this is not recommended for beginners. 21. Which kind of camping is suitable for beginners? A. RV camping. B. Tent camping. C. Hiking camping. D. Survival camping. 22. What do Hiking Camping and Survival Camping have in common? A. They may be risky. B. They require little equipment. C. They are attractive choices for kids. D. They are suitable for family vacations. 23. What is the main advantage of RV camping? A. Lowest price. B. Homely comfort. C. Group fun. D. Wild experience. B When I was six, a new family moved into the house next door. There was a girl, Frances, who was about my age. We became best friends soon. I was too young to notice what was really going on in her life, but my mother did. Mom noticed that Frances never invited anyone into the rooms they lived in. Her mother went off to work very early in the morning and came back looking very tired. And her two older brothers wore dirty clothes and were never at home. Frances was always hungry, and her clothes were often too small. Mom never mentioned anything to me. But she once asked, “Would you mind if I give Frances some of your clothes?” I agreed. Frances seemed very thrilled. Mom began to spend more time with Frances and me. She and I had always done kitchen jobs together, but now the three of us were making biscuits and washing up together. Frances was always willing to help, as long as Mom was there. Sometimes they would just sit together and talk while I was off doing something else. That routine (常规事务) continued until we were both teenagers. But then her mother decided they were moving back to Ireland. We promised to write to each other. One day, my mom called to say that a letter from Frances had arrived. “When I was four, my father died. My mother tried to make money. She ignored me. Your mom saved me. Without her love and attention, I would never have survived my childhood. I have used your mother’s example as my guide to care for people around me.” My mother taught me many things, but this was her most valuable lesson. Watching her example and seeing the life-changing results were powerful. We will never know how or when our acts of kindness will influence others, but it’s always better to try. 24. What do we know about Frances’ family from Paragraph 2? A. They were unhappy to come to a new place. B. They tried hard to avoid their neighbors. C. They cared little about each other. D. They lived a very difficult life. 25. What does the underlined word “thrilled” in Paragraph 3 mean? A. Proud. B. Annoyed. C. Excited. D. Confident. 26 What does the author try to show through the fourth paragraph? A. Frances was a good helper. B. Frances was used to the routine. C. Frances got on well with the author’s mom. D. Frances was good at doing kitchen jobs. 27. What can be the best title for the text? A. Teaching by example B. Lifelong friends C. My mom’s life D. Being brave to try C In recent years, the concept of “slow travel” has appeared as a reaction to the fast-paced, mass tourism that plays a key role in the industry. Slow travel encourages travelers to engage deeply with local cultures, stay longer in destinations, and form meaningful connections with local communities. One of the key principles of slow travel is to reduce environmental impact (影响). By choosing to stay in locally-owned accommodations, eating at family-run restaurants, and using public transportation or bicycles, travelers can greatly decrease their carbon footprint. For instance, a study found that tourists who take part in slow travel produce up to 70% less greenhouse gas emissions compared to those on traditional package tours. Slow travel also allows for a deeper cultural understanding. Instead of rushing through tourist attractions, slow travelers take the time to join in local traditions, learn about historical importance, and interact with locals. This not only enriches the travel experience but also provides economic benefits to local communities. In some rural areas, “slow travel” has helped protect endangered crafts and save dying traditions. However, slow travel is not without challenges. It requires more planning and flexibility. As travelers need to research local customs, transportation options, and authentic (真实的) experiences. Additionally, slow travel may not be feasible for everyone due to time or budget limit. For busy professionals or families with limited vacation days, spending weeks in a single destination may seem unrealistic. Despite these challenges, the slow travel movement continues to grow. Travelers are becoming more aware of their environmental and cultural impact, and many are seeking more authentic and sustainable ways to explore the world. As a result, travel companies are starting to offer more slow-travel choices, such as longer home-stays and cultural experience programs. 28. Which is the benefit of slow travel? A. It can save money on traveling. B. It can be more environmentally friendly. C. It can increase the income of travel companies. D. It can allow travelers to visit more places hurriedly. 29. What can we learn about slow travel from the third Paragraph? A. It has little impact on local economies. B. It focuses on interactions with travelers. C. It keeps travelers from learning about history. D. It contributes to the protection of traditional crafts. 30. What does the underlined word “feasible” mean in Paragraph 4? A. practical B. economical C. enjoyable D. affordable 31. What can be inferred about the future of slow travel? A. It will cost less as time passes. B. It will only be accessible to rich travelers. C. It will replace traditional tourism entirely. D. It may become more popular in the future. D People send messages every day on social media. These online conversations can have a huge impact and shape how societies make decisions. However, there is a growing problem: Sometimes, people may not listen to each other and end up saying hurtful things. Would it be better if there were an advisor in online conversations? We tried to use artificial intelligence (AI) to carry out this task. So, we did an online experiment (实验) with pairs of people discussing a challenging topic. In the first group, one participant (参与者) in each pair had an AI helper. The AI tried to make sure the discussion was polite and respectful (尊敬的). It didn’t change the participant’s point of view, though! The participant could accept or refuse the suggestions or completely edit the message an AI helper offered. In the control group, the people had a conversation on the same topic but neither of the participants had an AI helper. After the discussions ended, the pairs shared their thoughts on how good the conversation was. In our study, the participants accepted the AI’s suggestions two-thirds of the time. When they used the AI’s suggestions, the messages became more positive and polite. Participants whose partners used the AI reported feeling better about the conversation. They were more willing to understand and respect each other, even if they still disagreed. The people who used the AI themselves didn’t report a huge change in how they felt about the conversation. However, they were more willing to respect the opinions of others! The results of our study show that AI did a good job of making online discussions more polite. But you don’t need a reminder to be respectful. Even in the vast digital world, each conversation matters. Your choice to be kind and respectful can make a big difference. It can promote a culture of healthy discussion and understanding. This is also true for real-life conversations. 32. What is the function of Paragraph 1? A. To offer a suggestion. B. To give a conclusion. C. To lead in the topic. D. To present a research finding. 33. What was the role of AI in the experiment? A. It made sure the conversation was more friendly. B. It provided new topics for discussions. C. It made participants disagree less. D. It changed participants’ opinions. 34. What did the participants whose partners used the AI report after the discussion? A. They found it harder to respect each other. B. They felt more positive about the conversation. C. They were more likely to disagree with their partners. D. They became more interested in the topic of discussion. 35. Which can be a suitable title for the text? A. Will AI Be the Future of Social Media? B. Can AI Help Reduce Real-life Arguments? C. Should AI Manage Our Online Conversations? D. Can AI Make Online Discussions More Polite? Outdoor exercise offers many choices like running biking, hiking or other outdoor sports. Eager to help her new class, teachers and classmates, she decided to run for (竞选) monitor. She was very happy when their head teacher, Mr. Johnson, announced she won. She dreamed of leading her class to be the best in the whole school. However, problems came one by one. During self-study time, some classmates talked loudly; some even played music. Jane would stand up and tell everyone angrily, “Be quiet! It’s study time!” But her loud orders didn’t work. Tom, who was supposed to clean the blackboard, often “forgot”. Jane shouted to remind him of his duty, which only made Tom quite embarrassed and unhappy. Jane also announced her plans for group study after school, expecting everyone to join in it. But obviously most students weren’t interested and complained about the extra “work”. Jane felt more and more disappointed and helpless. Her direct orders seemed to push people away instead of bringing them together. Her dream of a top united class seemed to be broken by the daily problems. Standing alone after another rule failed, she felt deeply disappointed. Her methods weren’t working at all. Maybe she wasn’t suitable for being monitor. She couldn’t stand it like this any more. Mr. Johnson noticed Jane was in low spirits. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ With a clear mind, Jane returned to her duties in a new way. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2025~2026学年度第一学期南昌中学三经路校区期中考试 高一英语 考试用时:120分钟 试卷满分:150分 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共5小题;每小题1.5分,满分7.5分) 听下面5段对话。 What are the speakers going to do first? 24. B 29. D 30. A 31. 根据第二段中“One of the key principles of slow travel is to reduce environmental impact (影响). By choosing to stay in locally-owned accommodations, eating at family-run restaurants, and using public transportation or bicycles, travelers can greatly decrease their carbon footprint.(慢旅行的一个关键原则是减少对环境的影响。通过选择住在当地人拥有的住宿,在家庭经营的餐馆吃饭,以及使用公共交通工具或自行车,旅行者可以大大减少他们的碳足迹。)”可知,慢旅行可以更加环保。故选B。 【29题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段中“In some rural areas, “slow travel” has helped protect endangered crafts and save dying traditions.(在一些农村地区,“慢旅行”帮助保护濒危工艺,拯救濒临消亡的传统。)” 根据第四段中“However, slow travel is not without challenges. It requires more planning and flexibility. As travelers need to research local customs, transportation options, and authentic (真实的) experiences. Additionally, slow travel may not be feasible for everyone due to time or budget limit. For busy professionals or families with limited vacation days, spending weeks in a single destination may seem unrealistic.(然而,慢旅行并非没有挑战。 故选A。 根据最后一段“Despite these challenges, the slow travel movement continues to grow. Travelers are becoming more aware of their environmental and cultural impact, and many are seeking more authentic and sustainable ways to explore the world. As a result, travel companies are starting to offer more slow-travel choices, such as longer home-stays and cultural experience programs.(尽管面临这些挑战,慢旅行运动仍在继续发展。旅行者越来越意识到他们对环境和文化的影响,许多人正在寻找更真实和可持续的方式来探索世界。因此,旅游公司开始提供更多的慢旅行选择,比如更长的家庭住宿和文化体验项目。)”可知,慢旅行未来可能会更受欢迎。故选D。 D People send messages every day on social media. 32. C 33. A 34. Instead of just sightseeing, we can make our journeys more active and interesting. A perfect example is hiking. Last month, I went hiking in a national park. Walking for hours in nature not only built up my strength but also allowed me to enjoy breathtaking views. It was far more enjoyable than exercising in a gym. This active way of traveling helps us stay fit while having fun. It reduces stress and improves our mood. Let’s pack our bags and get moving for a healthier life! 词汇积累 而不是:instead of→rather than 允许某人做某事:allow sb to do sth→permit sb to do sth 令人愉快的:enjoyable→pleasant 方法:way→approach 2. This active way of traveling helps us stay fit while having fun. It reduces stress and improves our mood. This active way of traveling helps us stay fit while having fun, which also reduces stress and improves our mood. 【点睛】[高分句型1]Walking for hours in nature not only built up my strength but also allowed me to enjoy breathtaking views.(运用了动名词短语作主语及not only...but also并列结构) [高分句型2]This active way of traveling helps us stay fit while having fun.(运用了现在分词作状语) 第二节 书面表达(满分25分) 67. Jane started high school full of excitement. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 Mr. Johnson noticed Jane was in low spirits. He gently asked her to stay after class. Sensing her disappointment, he shared his own early struggles as a teacher. “True leadership,” he said softly, “isn’t about shouting orders. It’s about respect and teamwork. Try listening more and talking with your classmates.” Jane felt a little hope as Mr. Johnson encouraged her to find wiser ways to win their trust. His words were like a ray of light, brightening her confusion. She realized she needed to change her methods to bring everyone together. With a clear mind, Jane returned to her duties in a new way. Instead of shouting out commands, she arranged time to chat gently with her classmates and listen to their ideas and suggestions. She also grouped the whole class for cleaning duties to ensure fairness. To encourage a quiet environment for self-study, she herself kept learning quietly, setting a good example. Feeling their voices heard and understood, more students joined the study groups willingly. Gradually, the noisy classroom became quieter. Hopefully, Jane came to realize it was respect and cooperation that could build up the strong team in her dream. 谈论:talk with/chat with 情绪类 ①温柔地:softly/gently ②有希望的:feel a little hope/hopefully 【点睛】[高分句型1]She realized she needed to change her methods to bring everyone together.
