专题03 阅读理解 主题01 人与自我 Passage 1 (24-25九年级上·贵州遵义·期末) Suppose you had a monthly income of 5,000 yuan. How much of it would you spend? And how much money would you save? Many people find budgeting (预算) difficult. Perhaps they should try the 50/30/20 method. It is one of the most effective and simple budgeting methods around. It tells you exactly how much to put towards your savings and how much to put towards your living costs. According to the 50/30/20 method, you should divide your monthly income into three groups: 50% for “needs”, 30% for “wants” and 20% for “savings”. “Needs” refers to the bills that you must pay and the items necessary for living. Examples include electricity and gas bills, transportation and everyday living things. These are “must-haves”. If you have to spend more than 50% of your income on your “needs”, you may need to change your lifestyle. For example, you may consider taking public transportation to work and cooking at home, rather than driving to work and eating out regularly. “Wants” refers to unnecessary costs. You choose to spend your money on these items, but you could live without them if you had to. You can work out at home instead of going to the gym. You can watch sports on TV instead of getting tickets to the game. You can continue using your three-year-old backpack. Finally, you need to save 20% of your monthly income. Savings are important. You never know when you may lose your job or when an accident may take place. Try the 50/30/20 method. It will help you to lead a happy life while ensuring that you have some savings to depend on whenever you need them. 1.If your family has 5,000 yuan a month, how much should be used for “wants” according to the method? A.1,000 yuan. B.1,500 yuan. C.2,500 yuan. 2.Which of the following should belong to “must-haves”? A.Game tickets. B.New backpacks. C.Gas bills. 3.What’s the structure of the text? (①= Paragraph 1, ②= Paragraph 2,...) A. B. C. 4.What’s the writer’s main purpose in writing the text? A.To show the ways about saving monthly money. B.To explain the reasons for increasing living costs. C.To introduce a method of managing money wisely. 【答案】1.B 2.C 3.A 4.C 【导语】本文主要介绍了如何进行明智的理财。 1.细节理解题。根据“According to the 50/30/20 method, you should divide your monthly income into three groups: 50% for ‘needs’, 30% for ‘wants’ and 20% for ‘savings’.”可知,根据50/30/20方法,“wants”应为月收入的30%。5000 × 30% = 1500元。故选B。 2.细节理解题。根据第三段“Examples include electricity and gas bills, transportation and everyday living things. Some people may ask, “What is an RSVP?” In fact, “RSVP” is a short form of French words “répondez s’il vous plaît”. An RSVP is a polite request from the sender to know whether or not you’ll be attending their event. Many people don’t RSVP because they don’t want to let the host down. However, this usually causes more trouble than a simple no. For example, if the host is unclear about the number of the guests, they won’t know how much food and how many seats to prepare. RSVP requests often include a deadline (截止日期). A proper RSVP deadline for guests is about two to four weeks before the event. If you want to attend but are unable to give a certain answer before the deadline, it’s best to refuse. You can get in touch with the host with your regrets and explain what is keeping you from being sure about your coming. The earlier you do that, the better. Normally, invitations with an RSVP will have instructions on how to reply. A formal (正式的) invitation, such as a wedding invitation, will have a reply card that you can return in its provided envelope (信封). Informal invitations, on the other hand, may have a telephone number, email address, or other ways to reply, with instructions. The most important thing to remember is that if you say you’ll attend, you should be there. 1.“RSVP” has the closest meaning to ______. A.mark B.reply C.notice 2.The host may be unclear about ______ if the guests don’t RSVP. A.how the guests will come B.how many seats to prepare C.what food the guests prefer 3.You’d better ______ if you cannot give a certain answer when invited. A.follow the instructions B.remember the deadline C.turn down the invitation 4.In which section of a newspaper can we read the text? A.Culture Window. B.Science Study. C.Famous People. 【答案】1.B 2.B 3.C 4.A 【导语】本文主要介绍了RSVP的含义以及应用。 1.细节理解题。根据“An RSVP is a polite request from the sender to know whether or not you’ll be attending their event.”可知,RSVP是一种礼貌的请求,让发件人知道你是否会参加他们的活动。因此最接近“reply”。故选B。 2.细节理解题。根据“For example, if the host is unclear about the number of the guests, they won’t know how much food and how many seats to prepare.”可知,如果主人不清楚客人的人数,他们就不知道要准备多少食物和多少座位。故选B。 3.细节理解题。根据“If you want to attend but are unable to give a certain answer before the deadline, it’s best to refuse.”可知,如果无法在截止日期前给出确定的回答,建议最好拒绝邀请,故选C。 4.推理判断题。根据“In fact, ‘RSVP’ is a short form of French words ‘répondez s’il vous plaît’.”可知,文章解释了法语术语的文化背景,因此适合出现在文化类版块,故选A。 Passage 3 (24-25九年级上·贵州遵义·期末) Zhao Jian, an online storyteller in Nanjing, shares books with his 1.4 million fans on the Internet. There are many good books that will help you learn. To get started, ask your teacher or a librarian for some suggestions. You can also look at some good websites with information about the environment and climate change. Climate change may be a big problem, but there are many little things we can do to make a difference. Driving a car or using electricity is not wrong. We just have to be smart about it. Some people use less energy by carpooling. For example, four people can ride together in one car instead of driving four cars to work. Whenever we use electricity, we put greenhouse gases into the air. By turning off lights, the television and the computer when they aren’t needed, you can help a lot. Don’t buy products that use too much energy. Some products, like certain cars, are made specially to save energy. These don’t pollute as much, either. Products like computers, TVs, and VCRs with the ENERGY STAR label (标签) R are made to save energy. Buying products with these labels will help protect the environment. Buy recyclable products instead of (代替) non-recyclable ones. Recyclable products are usually made out of things that have already been used. It usually takes less energy to make recyclable products than to make new ones. So when you go shopping, look for the recycle mark on the package—three arrows that make a circle. The less energy we use, the better. 1.The passage is mainly written for ___________. Today, we will learn some important rules for communication. Good communication is the secret of making friends and keeping them. So let’s get started! First, listen with your ears and your heart. When someone is talking to you, give full attention to them. Look at them, nod your head, and listen with your ears and your heart. It shows that you care about what they are saying. Second, think before you speak. Just like you look before crossing the street, you need to think twice about something before you say it. Ask yourself, “Is it kind? Is it helpful?” If the answer is yes, feel free to share it. But if it’s not, keep it to yourself. Third, use your words, not your fists (拳头). If you have a problem with someone, don’t solve it with your fists. Instead, use your words to explain how you feel. Your words can make a world of difference, while getting physical only makes things worse. Fourth, treat others the way you want to be treated. This rule encourages you to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and consider how you would like to be treated if you were in their position. If you treat others with love, kindness, and respect, the chances are that they will treat you the same way. Fifth, be a friend, not a bully (恃强凌弱者). Bullies are no fun, and they don’t have many friends. Instead, be a friend to others. Stand up for those who need help and always be there to lend an ear. Together, we can make the world a better place. Remember to put these suggestions into practice, and you’ll be a better person soon. 1.How many ways of good communication are mentioned in the passage? A.Four. B.Five. C.Six. 2.Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage? A.When someone is talking to you, don’t give full attention to him or her. B.If you have a problem with someone, you can solve it with your fists. C.We should stand up for those who need help bravely instead of a bully. 3.What is the structure of the passage? The order of the Rs is also important. The closer to the start of the list, the more important it is. Let’s start from our lifestyles! Refuse Our lives are full of things we don’t need, and each of them has an environmental cost. Think it over when buying. Just deciding not to spend $100 on things our family doesn’t want can save 100kg greenhouse gas pollution! Reduce To reduce is to use fewer resources. Before buying for children, give yourself at least a day or two to cool off. Only buy what is necessary to children. Always ask your children to turn off the lights or computers when they are not using them. Reuse Almost everything we throw away in our daily lives will become litter and harm the planet in other ways. We can save resources by reusing. Reuse means using again. Have you given away your children’s clothes that they can’t wear to others? Or, we can use the cloth napkins and empty cans once again or more. Repurpose Simply take something you are no longer using and change it for another more practical use. Think, help your children use old newspapers for art projects. Recycle To recycle is to make new things from old things. In our home, anything made from metal, wood, paper and most plastics is possible to be recycled. 1.Which of the SRs is the most important? A.Refuse. B.Reuse. C.Recycle. 2.How should we deal with our children’s clothes that they can’t wear according to the passage? A.Throw them away. B.Put them away. C.Give them to other children. 3.What does the passage mainly tell us? A.Effects of polluting the environment. B.Reasons of protecting the environment. C.Ways of protecting the environment. 4.Which of the following can be recycled? A.Bulbs. B.Paper. C.Batteries. 【答案】1.A 2.C 3.C 4.B 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要介绍了5个R:拒绝、减少、重复利用、改变用途和回收。 1.细节理解题。根据“5Rs are Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle, in that order. The order of the Rs is also important. It is the blue sky above our heads, the green grass under our feet, and the clear water in the rivers and lakes. We are a part of nature, and our lives are closely connected to it. Plants are like nature’s little factories. They use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to make food and oxygen. We need the oxygen that plants produce to breathe. And many of the foods we enjoy, such as fruits, vegetables, and grains, come from plants. Animals also play an important role in nature. Some animals, like cows and sheep, give us milk, meat, and wool. Other animals, such as bees, are busy pollinating flowers. Birds are another wonderful part of nature. They build nests in trees and sing beautiful songs. Some birds also help spread seeds. However, in modern times, we humans have caused some problems for nature. One big problem is pollution. Factories release (释放) a lot of dirty smoke into the air, which makes the air dirty and harmful to breathe. Cars also give out exhaust fumes (废气) that add to air pollution. And waste from factories and our homes is sometimes poured into rivers and lakes, making the water dirty and killing fish and other water-living creatures. Another problem is the loss of habitats (栖息地). As cities grow and more land is needed for buildings and roads, forests and wetlands are being destroyed. Many animals lose their homes because of this. For example, pandas need bamboo forests to live, and when these forests are cut down, pandas are in danger. We need to do something to protect nature. We can start by reducing waste. We can recycle paper, plastic, and glass. We can also save water by turning off the tap when we don’t need it. When we go out, we can try to use public transportation or walk more instead of always taking a car. In conclusion, nature gives us so much. It is our responsibility to take care of it so that we can have a beautiful and healthy world to live in. 1.What do(es) not play an important role in nature? A.Plants. B.Animals. C.Pollution. 2.The underlined word “oxygen” in Paragraph 2 means “________” in Chinese. A.氢气 B.氧气 C.二氧化碳 3.According to the passage, what’s the writer’s main purpose? A.To tell us we need to protect the nature. B.To tell us animals play an important role in nature. C.To show that we humans have caused some problems for nature. 4.In which part of a magazine can we read the passage? A.Art. B.Sports. C.Science. 【答案】1.C 2.B 3.A 4.C 【导语】本文旨在强调我们需要保护自然。 1.细节理解题。根据“Plants are like nature’s little factories.”及“Animals also play an important role in nature.”可知植物和动物在自然界中扮演了重要的角色,再由“However, in modern times, we humans have caused some problems for nature. Passage 2 (24-25九年级上·贵州贵阳·期末)When you receive an invitation from others, please notice whether it includes an RSVP. Passage 3 (24-25九年级上·贵州黔南·期末)Nature is all around us. A.Art. B.Sports. C.Science. 1 / 2 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
