Running should not be a dangerous activity. For your own safety, learn these tips and try to be a good runner!
✧ Take your time
If you develop an interest in running, you may want to run often. However, overdoing it or pushing yourself too hard can cause you to get hurt. It’s also important not to run too fast at the beginning. Run at a pace (速度) that feels comfortable. And if you’re planning on a long run, remember to increase your pace slowly.
✧ Take breaks
Resting is as important as training. Your body needs time to rest after hard runs. Running coach Sam Murphy says that if you run hard one day, you should take a break or do an easier run the next day. Some runners follow the 80/20 plan: 80% of their runs each week are easy, and only 20% are hard.
✧ Have a strong body
According to Runner’s World, strength (力量) training is great for runners. It can help make your body stronger, lower the risk of getting hurt, and even improve your speed. However, this doesn’t mean you need to do heavy weight training. Simple exercises at home, like sit-ups and push-ups, can be good too.
✧ Have a good diet
Eating and drinking the right things is also important. “Many people forget this.” Dr. Paul Hobrough said. “Drink lots of water and eat foods rich in protein (蛋白质), like eggs, chicken and milk. These can help your energy return quickly.”

When I was a young boy, we lived just down the road from a public swimming pool. During the summer months, I would be there almost every day swimming and playing for hours. 56 You could buy a cup of Coca Cola for 15 cents and a bag of chips was only ten cents. Often mom or grandma would give me a quarter before I left, so I could have a snack there. 57 That was when I would try the sofa cushions (靠垫).
I would pull them out and stretch (伸长) my little arms deep into the crevices (缝隙) of the sofa, hoping to find some pocket money that had fallen out of someone’s pockets. 58 Then I would run off to the swimming pool with change in my hand and happiness in my heart.
It is only recently, however, that I realized I found change there a lot during the summertime. I remember looking between the sofas in the winter a few times and not even finding a penny. Although I never saw them, I think that mom, grandma, dad, or all three of them would drop change down there for me to find. 59 Of course, they never said a word about it even after I had grown up. I guess some secrets are too good to share.
60 You get no thanks for it, at least not to your face. Yet, it fills your heart with happiness.
A.The best thing of all was they had a shop there.
B.Often to my happiness, I would find some money.
C.Sometimes, though, they weren’t at home or were busy working.
D.I think that maybe an unseen act of kindness has a special joy to it.
E.They did so knowing it would make my day and bring a smile to my face.

As Chinese, I'm sure you know something about Taichi (太极). It's a kind of sport and one of the 61 (symbol) of Chinese culture.
Taichi is common in China. If you walk through a park, you might see people doing these slow and 62 (beauty) actions. They are doing Taichi, 63 ancient (古代的) art called Wushu. 64 (do) Taichi is good for our health. It can make us walk and move freely. During slow actions we can pay special attention to our hands and feet. We can control them better. Taichi also mixes (混合) slow actions and deep breaths (呼吸) 65 (perfect). People will become healthier by practicing it.
But Taichi is more than a kind of sport. It shows how we see the world as well. The world is full of yin and yang, such as dark and light, soft and hard, full and empty etc. Taichi sets up good relationships (关系) 66 yin and yang, while they aren't opposite. Just like the picture, a white circle is in the black area and a black circle is in the white area. After a dark night, the sun will rise. Leaves fall in autumn but grow in spring. Everything 67 (keep) changing-that is how we should see the world. Yin and yang depend on each other and make differences to each other. That is why humans can get on well with nature and people can use softness 68 (beat) hardness. Taichi makes full use of yin and yang.
In China, Taichi has been practiced for about 600 years. At present, more people are encouraged to join in Taichi and pass it on. 69 (million) of people in more than 150 countries practice Taichi. It is 70 (get) more and more popular in the world.

If you thought dinosaurs (恐龙) died out, think again!
In February, more than 100 people wearing dinosaur costumes ran along Weymouth Beach in the south of the UK for a fun charity (慈善).
The “Everybody Run after the Dinosaur” race (赛跑) returned for its second year. There were four races for different age groups. Adults ran a 5-kilometer race, while children under 16 ran 2 kilometers. Those under 11 raced 1 kilometer, and there was also a special short race for very young children.
Dawn Rondeau-Irvine, who helped plan the activity, told BBC News it was great to see so many people in dinosaur costumes running along the beach. It was not just for fun — it was a way to celebrate the area’s prehistoric past.
Weymouth Beach is part of the UK’s “Jurassic Coast” (侏罗纪海岸), which is famous for its fossils and ancient rocks. Scientists have found dinosaur remains there, making it an important place for learning about the past.
The coast is around 130 kilometers long. Visitors from around the world go there to enjoy its beautiful scenery, or to take part in the Jurassic Coast walk, which takes about six or seven days to finish.
71.When did the “Everybody Run after the Dinosaur” race take place?

If you develop an interest in running, you may want to run often. However, overdoing it or pushing yourself too hard can cause you to get hurt. 【答案】例文:
Growing up
How time flies! Now we are Grade Nine students. I feel happy and sometimes sad when growing up. Here is what I’d like to share with you.
One of my biggest challenges was dealing with problems. Last year, I failed a math test. Instead of giving up, I analyzed my mistakes and asked my teacher for help. Gradually, my grades improved. This experience taught me that persistence leads to progress. Another important lesson was getting on with others. I used to argue with my classmates over small things. Later, I learned to listen and understand their perspectives. Now, we work together harmoniously.
Growing up is a journey full of ups and downs, but each step makes us stronger.
