When I first transferred to Green Middle School, I felt like an outsider. No one talked to me during lunch, and I always walked alone to class—until I met Lila.
It happened on a rainy Tuesday. I forgot my umbrella and stood under the school gate, staring at the heavy rain. Suddenly, a pink umbrella appeared beside me. “Want to share?” Lila smiled, her eyes bright like stars. We walked to the bus stop together. She asked about my old school, laughed at my silly jokes, and didn’t make me feel awkward at all.
After that, we became inseparable. Lila loved drawing, and I loved writing. We spent weekends in the library—she sketched characters from my stories, and I added dialogues to her drawings. Once, I failed my math test and cried in the classroom. Lila sat with me, handed me a chocolate bar, and said, “Let’s study together every evening. I’ll help you with equations, and you can help me with essay writing.”
Three months later, I got a B in math. When I told Lila the news, she jumped up and down like a kid. “I knew you could do it!” she said. That day, I realized friendship isn’t just about having fun. It’s about standing by each other when things get hard.
Now, we’re in different high schools, but we still text every night. Last week, she sent me a drawing—two girls sharing an umbrella, with the words “Forever friends” written below. It made my heart warm. True friends don’t need to be together always, but they always hold a special place in your heart.
1.Why did the writer feel like an outsider at first?
A. She hated her new school. B.No one communicated with her.
C.She was bad at all subjects. D. She forgot her umbrella often.
2.How did Lila help the writer on the rainy Tuesday?
A. She gave the writer a chocolate bar. B. She helped the writer with math.
C. She shared her umbrella with the writer. D. She walked the writer home.
3.What did Lila and the writer do on weekends?
A. They studied math together. B. They created stories and drawings.
C. They played games in the park. D. They visited each other’s homes.
4.What did the writer learn about friendship?
A. It’s about having fun every day. B. It requires living close to each other.
C. It means supporting each other in hard times. D. It needs expensive gifts to keep.
5.What can we infer from the last paragraph?
A. The writer and Lila still keep in touch. B. The writer moved to Lila’s high school.
C. Lila stopped drawing after entering high school. D. The writer forgot about her friendship with Lila.
B
If you’ve ever walked through a garden in the morning, you might have seen a thin, shiny web between two trees. This amazing structure is made by spiders—and it’s not just for catching bugs.
First, let’s look at how spiders make webs. Spiders have special glands (腺体) in their bodies called “spinnerets.” These spinnerets produce silk, a strong and flexible material. Unlike the silk used for clothes, spider silk is five times stronger than steel of the same thickness!
To start a web, a spider first releases a long piece of silk into the air. The wind carries this silk until it sticks to a nearby object, like a tree branch. This becomes the “bridge line”—the main support of the web. Next, the spider walks along the bridge line, dropping a second silk thread to make a “Y” shape. Then, it adds more threads to form a frame, just like the frame of a picture.
After the frame is ready, the spider makes a spiral (螺旋) from the center to the edge. This spiral is sticky—when a bug flies into it, the silk traps the bug. But here’s a fun fact: spiders don’t get stuck in their own webs! Their feet have a special oil that prevents the sticky silk from sticking to them.
Webs also have another purpose: they help spiders “hear.” When a bug hits the web, it makes tiny vibrations (震动). The spider feels these vibrations through its legs and knows exactly where the bug is. Some spiders even rebuild their webs every day—they eat the old web to reuse the silk, which saves energy.
Next time you see a spider web, take a closer look. It’s not just a simple net—it’s a clever invention made by nature!
6.What is the “bridge line” of a spider web?
A. The sticky spiral in the center. B.The main support thread of the web.
C.The oil on the spider’s feet. D. The silk used to make clothes.
7.Why don’t spiders get stuck in their own webs?
A. Their bodies are lighter than bugs. B. They avoid walking on the sticky parts.
C. Their feet have special oil. D. Their webs are not sticky for them.
8.How do spiders find bugs in their webs?
A. They see the bugs with their sharp eyes. B. They feel the web’s vibrations.
C. They smell the bugs with their noses. D. They hear the bugs’ wings.
9.What do some spiders do to save energy?
A. They use old webs to catch more bugs. B. They share webs with other spiders.
C. They eat old webs to reuse silk. D. They build smaller webs.
10.What is the main idea of the passage?
A. How spiders catch bugs for food. B. Why spider silk is stronger than steel.
C. The steps and functions of spider webs. D. How to protect spider webs in gardens.
Friendship is one of the most precious gifts in life. But like a small plant, it needs care to grow. How can we keep our friendships strong and lasting? Here are some useful tips.
First, be a good listener. When your friend shares their feelings or problems, put down your phone and focus on them. Don’t cut in or judge quickly. 1. ________ This makes your friend feel valued and heard.
Second, keep your promises. If you say you’ll meet your friend at 3 p.m., try to arrive on time. If you can’t keep an appointment, tell them in advance. 2. ________ Broken promises can make your friend feel unimportant and hurt trust.
Third, celebrate their success and support them in hard times. When your friend gets good grades or wins a prize, be truly happy for them. 3. ________ A simple “I’m here for you” or a hug can mean a lot when they’re sad.
Fourth, don’t be afraid to say “sorry”. Everyone makes mistakes. If you do something that upsets your friend, apologize sincerely. 4. ________ Holding onto anger will only push your friend away.
Finally, stay in touch regularly. You don’t need to talk every day, but a short message, a call, or a coffee date now and then helps. 5. ________ Distance can make friendship fade if you don’t make an effort.
With these small steps, you can keep your friendships warm and strong for years.
A. Don’t just say “congratulations” — ask about their hard work behind the success.B. Listening carefully shows you care about their thoughts and feelings.C. It’s important to remember your friend’s birthday and buy them expensive gifts.D. Trust is the foundation of friendship.E. Friendships are more important than family relationships.F. This shows you respect their time and feelings.G. Don’t wait for them to apologize first if you’re wrong.

8.考点为原级否定比较(not so...as)。“not so...as” 为固定结构,中间需用形容词原级,且后接比较对象无需 “than”,排除 B(用比较级)、C(多 “than”)、D(结构错误);“so delicious as”(和……
大三倍)为正确结构;A 缺少 “as”,C 中 “as...as” 中间需用原级,D 倍数位置错误,排除 A、C、D,故选 B。
10.“比较级 + and + 比较级” 表 “越来越……”,B 中 worse 本身是比较级,无需加 more;C 中 clean 的比较级是 cleaner,而非 more clean;D 中 dirty 的比较级是 dirtier,后一个也需用 dirtier,故排除 B、C、D,故选A。

A
When I first transferred to Green Middle School, I felt like an outsider.
