When people enjoy the moon on the Mid-Autumn Festival, an ancient poem, Prelude to Water Melody, is often read. The story of the poem dates back to the Mid-Autumn Festival in 1076. The moon is bright or dim and she may wax (月满) or wane (月缺).
There has been nothing perfect since the olden days.
So let us wish that man will live long as he can!
Though miles apart, we’ll share the beauty she displays.

Before the comparison, Su Shi complains (抱怨) about the “ruthless (无情的)” moon and asks her, “Why when people part, are you often full and bright?” However, he soon realizes that no one has an easy ride, just like the moon may not always be bright. That’s why the poet says “There has been nothing perfect since the olden days”.
But should we stand still with things that we can’t make a difference? Su Shi gives his answer: Change your mind and stay positive. So, we have the last line of the poem. 三、阅读填空 (共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
阅读下列短文,根据短文中的信息完成文后表格。
OK, so imagine you’ve thought of a product to make and sell—a game, or an app, or some clothes for example. You know you can sell millions of them, but first of all, you must give the product a name—a brand name. And that may not be as easy as you think.
The brand name is the thing that makes your product stand out from all the others. Businesses spend a lot of time thinking about brand names; when the name has been picked, it’s very difficult to change, so companies have to get it right first time.
So how do you choose a name? A brand name should be special, memorable and easy to understand. It should create some kind of emotional connection with people who buy the product—the target (目标) market. Some companies use the family name. When Henry Ford started making cars, he just called the company Ford. Some companies use wordplay. It’s a common way for naming apps, for example WhatsApp (from the English expression What’s up? As they pronounce similarly). But what do you have to be careful about? Well, you shouldn’t choose a name that may not work in certain countries or cultures. Many years ago, a car company produced a new car that they called Nova. They thought it suggested something nice and new, but in Spanish it can be read as no va (“it doesn’t go”). Not a good name for a car in Spain!
These days, the choice of brand name is quite important if your product is aimed at teenage market. A teacher in an American high school said, “Teenagers won’t buy something that’s almost the same or cheaper—simply because they feel they must wear something with the right logo.”
Companies know that the name isn’t everything—the product itself has to be good, of course—it is the most important part of the whole package.

When people enjoy the moon on the Mid-Autumn Festival, an ancient poem, Prelude to Water Melody, is often read. The story of the poem dates back to the Mid-Autumn Festival in 1076. Su Shi, a great writer of the Song Dynasty, couldn’t sleep that night. For seven years, he had been separated from his brother. Looking at the moon and thinking of his brother, he wrote the poem. The moon is bright or dim and she may wax (月满) or wane (月缺).
There has been nothing perfect since the olden days.
So let us wish that man will live long as he can!
Though miles apart, we’ll share the beauty she displays.
In the first two lines, the writer compares the life of a man to the changing face of the moon. In Chinese culture, a full moon symbolizes perfection and getting together. When the moon is round and fair but people are separated from their loved ones.
