What do you know about them?
movable type
Movable type is like a set of tiny, reusable blocks—each block has one Chinese character carved on it.
A long time ago, a man named Bi Sheng from China invented it. Before that, people had to carve whole pages into big wooden plates to make books—that took forever, and the plates couldn’t be reused!

What do you know about them?
papermaking
It was invented by Cai Lun of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Before this, people wrote on heavy materials like bamboo strips or expensive silk. Paper made writing and reading much easier. It also helped spread knowledge to more people.

Ancient Chinese discovered that a piece of magnetized iron (磁铁) always points south (or north). They made the first compass over 2,000 years ago, using it to find directions when traveling, especially at sea or in new places. It’s like the GPS of old times!

It was invented more than 1,000 years ago. At first it was used for alchemical experiments(炼丹术的实验需求). Later, people found it could make strong explosions(爆破), which was used in weapons like cannons(大炮).
