We sat together and rested quietly. We had not sat long before another person came in. There were no heavy clouds in the sky any more, and the moon became bright, and her light, coming in through a window near, shone full both on us and on the coming person, Miss Temple. “I came to find you, Jane Eyre,” said she. “I want you in my room, and as Helen is with you, she may come too.” We followed Miss Temple to her room. It had a good fire, and looked cheerful. Miss Temple told Helen to take a seat in a low arm-chair on one side of the fireplace, and herself taking another. She called me to her side. “Is it all over?” she asked, looking down at my face. “Do you cry your sadness away?” “I am afraid I shall never do that.” “Why?” “Because someone wrongly accused me, and you and everybody else, will now think me a bad girl.” “We shall think you what you prove (证明) yourself to be, my child. Keep acting as a good girl, and you will make us happy.” “Shall I, Miss Temple?” “You will,” said Miss Temple. “You were accused of telling lies a lot when you were little. Tell us the truth, but add nothing.” I decided that I would be the most honest and most correct. Tell us the truth, but add nothing.”可知,a“简被指控经常说谎”排在第三位;根据文章最后一段“Thinking for a few minutes about where to start, I told her all the story of my sad childhood.” 根据文章最后一段“I decided that I would be the most honest and most correct. Thinking for a few minutes about where to start, I told her all the story of my sad childhood.” B。 D ①The sun is very important—it gives us light, heat and life. So scientists began to ask: what if we could make a sun ourselves? Now a “man-made sun” is being built by using nuclear fusion (核聚变). ②How does a nuclear fusion work? Now imagine making a hot soup. First, scientists put two special kinds of hydrogen (氢气) to a big machine, just like putting the ingredients (原材料) into a big “pot”. Then, they heat it up to over 100 million ℃. At this point, the “soup” turns into something called plasma When the tiny parts in the plasma mix together, power is given out. This “cooking” process is called nuclear fusion—the same way our real sun produces power. ③Now scientists around the world are working hard to create a “man-made sun”. In France, a project called ITER brings together 35 countries. It aims to build the world’s largest fusion reactor (反应堆). In South Korea, its man-made sun KSTAR can hold plasma at 100 million ℃ for 48 seconds. ④In China, the EAST machine in Anhui Province has already made great achievements. In 2023, it kept plasma-at-120 million ℃ for 403 seconds. In 2025, it held 100 million ℃ for 1,066 seconds, setting a new world record and marking a closer exploration. ⑤But building a man-made sun still faces many difficulties. China’s EAST has already cost over 3 billion yuan. Besides, it needs special materials to control the heat safely. Also, it is very hard to keep the plasma hot and stable (稳定), which is the biggest challenge for scientists. ⑥Fusion technology requires very strict rules to prevent accidents. Will there be radiation (辐射)? What will happen if the plasma runs out? Are there any scientific steps to protect workers’ safety? Those questions are like stones on the road, making the journey of fusion harder to move forward smoothly. ⑦So, why keep going? Many power factories have been burning oil, which pollutes the air and harms the Earth. ________ It uses seawater as fuel (燃料) which is clean. It is almost CO2 free, making the air less polluted and slowing climate change. ⑧If successful, with only a little seawater, we can make plenty of cheap and long-lasting power that could offer electricity to homes, schools, and cities day and night. This is especially useful for big cities like Shanghai and New York. It may change the way we live and light our way to a greener future. 32. Why does the writer mention “make a hot soup” in Paragraph 2? A. To show cooking and science are the same. B. To discuss how to make a delicious hot soup. C. To introduce the history of nuclear fusion. D. To make the nuclear fusion easier to understand. 33. What can we learn from the passage? A. France has already built the largest fusion reactor in the world. B. The EAST can keep plasma longer than the other projects. C. The biggest challenge for fusion is the high cost of materials. D. The rules are strict enough to make sure of workers’ safety. 34. Which sentence can be put in ________? A. However, fusion is quite different. B. However, oil is easy to get. C. So scientists are trying to look for cleaner fuel. D. So factories should be stopped from burning oil. 35. What is the best structure for the passage? A. B. C. D. 【答案】32. D 33. B 34. A 35. I want to buy a popular Labubu toy which costs 399 yuan, but my allowance (生活费) for this month is only 300 yuan. When I asked Mom for more money, she refused. We ended up arguing yesterday. What should I do? Please help me. Molly To: Molly <molly666@cqyzmail.com> From: Chloe <chloe123@abcmail.com> Subject: Re: Need Money Advice Hello Molly, I understand how bad you feel after arguing with your mom. Your situation is very common. Many teens want things that cost more than their allowance. I’ll share a few smart money habits from some of them. One of my students Mary keeps a notebook that records how much money she has in a month. Her daily needs like lunches or school things are listed on it. Fun things, like toys, are placed after the basics. This way, she never faces an empty wallet and she always has enough for what really matters. Jack is another good example. Every day, he brings homemade lunches and carries a reusable bottle rather than buys expensive snacks or drinks at school. He also carefully compares prices and patiently waits for sales. These not only help him avoid spending too much but also allow him to keep and grow his money over time. And my 15-year-old daughter, Ivy, goes a step further. Last summer vacation, she sold her paintings online, which brought her 2000 yuan. Instead of spending it all, she kept most of it in a bank account that pays her interest (利息). One day, after finishing painting, she said to me, “Mom, I finally understand money doesn’t grow on trees. It takes time and effort. Thank you and Dad for everything.” Molly, I know you’re trying to make a smart choice. What matters most isn’t how much money you have, but how you deal with it. I’m sure you’ll find a way that works for you. Yours truly, Chloe To: Chloe <chloe123@abcmail.com> From: Molly <molly666@cqyzmail.com> Subject: Re: Re: Need Money Advice Dear Chloe, Thanks so much for your reply. Let me share with you how I worked out my problem. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This is a good start. I believe I can be a money master in the future. Best wishes, Molly 41. Can Molly afford a Labubu toy with her allowance this month? ___________________________________________________ 42. Where did Ivy keep most of her money last summer vacation? ___________________________________________________ 43. What smart money habits does Chloe share with Molly? ___________________________________________________ 44. How did Molly work out her problem? Finish her email. (about 30 words) ___________________________________________________ 【答案】41. No, she can’t. 42. In a bank account. 43. Keep a notebook to record money and list daily needs, placing fun things after basics (like Mary).;Bring homemade lunches, carry a reusable bottle, compare prices and wait for sales (like Jack).;Save money in a bank account to earn interest (like Ivy). 44. I decided to make a budget and save money from daily expenses. Also, I’ll wait for the toy to be on sale. 【41题详解】 根据Molly邮件中“I want to buy a popular Labubu toy which costs 399 yuan, but my allowance for this month is only 300 yuan.” 故填No, she can’t. 【42题详解】 根据Chloe邮件中“Instead of spending it all, she kept most of it in a bank account that pays her interest.” 故填In a bank account. 【43题详解】 根据“One of my students Mary keeps a notebook that records how much money she has in a month.”、“Every day, he brings homemade lunches and carries a reusable bottle rather than buys expensive snacks or drinks at school. He also carefully compares prices and patiently waits for sales.”和“Instead of spending it all, she kept most of it in a bank account that pays her interest (利息).” Keep a notebook to record money and list daily needs, placing fun things after basics (like Mary).;Bring homemade lunches, carry a reusable bottle, compare prices and wait for sales (like Jack).;Save money in a bank account to earn interest (like Ivy). I decided to make a budget and save money from daily expenses. Also, I’ll wait for the toy to be on sale. VII. 45. Amy’s cut the potatoes into pieces. Are the mooncakes delicious? The little boy asked his father. (合并为一句) The little boy asked his father ________ the mooncakes ________ delicious. 【答案】 ①. if##whether ②. were 【解析】 【详解】句意:月饼好吃吗? 根据“Are the mooncakes delicious? The little boy asked his father”可知,合并为宾语从句时,原一般疑问句需用if/whether引导;主句asked是过去式,从句时态需随主句变为一般过去时,are的过去式是were,符合语境。故填if/whether;were。 48. ________ comes from ________. Knowledge;questioning。 49. the music, plays, loud, band, what (连词成句) _______________________________________________! What loud music the band plays 【解析】 【详解】根据所给词及句末感叹号可知,此句是感叹句,结构为“What+形容词+不可数名词+主语+谓语!”。 What loud music the band plays“这支乐队演奏的音乐多么响亮啊”。 VIII. Tina, 14 years old, is a hard-working student. She follows the rules at school and does whatever her parents, teachers and even friends tell her to do. She is used to saying “yes” to everything. But Tina is not always happy about this. Sometimes, Tina doesn’t have time to help others, but she just can’t say no. How she wishes she could change! Have you ever had such an experience? Saying “no” to others can be hard for some people. However, saying “no” is a basic right. It means you’ve made a choice about what is important to you. So if you have the same problem as Tina, the first thing you need to do is to allow yourself to say “no”. Keep in mind that if the other person cares about you, he or she will respect your decision and won’t hold it against you. If you still feel bad about saying “no”, what can you do? When your friend invites you to a party you don’t want to go to, you can start with something like “Thank you so much for inviting me, but I have a family event that day. I hope you have a great time!” When your friend asks you to clean the classroom for him, you can say, “I’m sorry. I’m really busy with my own homework right now. I can’t help this time, but maybe we can work together next time.” If guilty (内疚) keeps you from saying “no”, try sharing something useful instead of your time. For example, if your friend asks you to help with his math when you are busy, you can lend him your notes or recommend (推荐) a good book. You can also suggest someone else who can help. Maybe you know another classmate who is good at math and has more free time. It’s not easy to say “no”, but it helps you to save energy for something important. At the same time, it also gives you a feeling of freedom. Reading Report Hi, everyone. Recently, I have read a useful article. It starts with a story of Tina, a 14-year-old girl who always says “yes” to others, but now she wants ____50____ herself. It shows us the meaning of learning to say “no” and provides ____51____. Firstly, allow ourselves to say “no”. Secondly, ____52____. We can try this way by saying thanks or sorry and explaining the reasons. Finally, share something useful instead of our own time. In a word, learn to say “no” so that ____53____. 50. to change 51. some/ three ways (to say no/ of saying no) some/ three methods (for/ of saying no/ refusing others) some/ three suggestions (for/ about/ on saying no/ refusing others) some advice (on saying no/ refusing others) some/ three solutions 52. (we should) refuse others / say no to others politely/ nicely/ kindly/ in a polite way/ indirectly 53. we can save energy for something important and feel free 【解析】 【导语】本文主要以蒂娜为例,指出其不擅拒绝的问题,并给出允许自己说“不”、选择合适表达等学会拒绝的建议,阐述说“不”虽难但对成长有益。 【50题详解】 根据“How she wishes she could change!” 【51题详解】 通读全文可知,本文分别从允许自己说 “不”、礼貌拒绝他人、分享有用的东西代替付出时间这三个方面阐述了如何对他人说 “不”,故填some/three ways (to say no/of saying no)或some/three methods (for/of saying no/refusing others)或some/three suggestions (for/about/ on saying no/refusing others)或some advice (on saying no/refusing others)或some/three solutions。 【52题详解】 根据“When your friend invites you to a party you don’t want to go to, you can start with something like ‘Thank you so much for inviting me, but I have a family event that day. I hope you have a great time!’ When your friend asks you to clean the classroom for him, you can say, ‘I’m sorry. I’m really busy with my own homework right now. I can’t help this time, but maybe we can work together next time.’”可知,作者建议在拒绝他人时,通过先说感谢或道歉并解释原因的方式,也就是要礼貌地拒绝,故填(we should) refuse others /say no to others politely/nicely/ kindly/in a polite way/indirectly。 【53题详解】 根据“It’s not easy to say ‘no’, but it helps you to save energy for something important. At the same time, it also gives you a feeling of freedom.”可知,作者总结了学会说 “不” 意义在于能为重要事情节省精力并让人感到自由,故填we can save energy for something important and feel free。 IX. 3. …… Dear Mike, Sorry to hear you and your classmates have trouble learning Chinese. “Do you cry your sadness away?” “I am afraid I shall never do that.” “Why?” “Because someone wrongly accused me and you and everybody else, will now think me a bad girl.” “We shall think you what you prove (证明) yourself to be, my child. Keep acting as a good girl, and you will make us happy.” “Shall I, Miss Temple?” “You will,” said Miss Temple. “You were accused of telling lies a lot when you were little. D ①The sun is very important—it gives us light, heat and life. ④In China the EAST machine in Anhui Province has already made great achievements. A. B. C. D.
