Many collectors really want to get the whole collection, especially those hard-to-find hidden characters. In 2023, Pop Mart sold over 10 million blind boxes just in China, showing how popular this idea is.
The characters of Pop Mart are designed carefully. Designers get ideas from many things, like old fairy tales, history, and modern art. Take the famous Molly series as an example. Designed by a Hong Kong artist. Molly has big round eyes and a special hairstyle. Each Molly figure wears different clothes and has different themes, like space adventures, animals, and festivals. These beautifully made figures are so lovely that people like them as soon as they see them.

①Do you often hear birdsong outside the window? How do you feel when you hear it? In fact, it is shown that birdsong can influence people’s life.
②Birdsong sounds especially nice in winter because it reminds people of spring. A study found that listening to birdsong for six minutes can help reduce people’s stress. It’s hard to feel sad when you hear birds singing or talking, as the energy in their songs makes people feel like walking in the garden. Unlike music, which can sometimes make you produce strong feelings, birdsong is usually seen as positive or neutral (中性的). If you live in a noisy city, birdsong can be a welcome relief (缓解) from the stress caused by outside noise.
③Another benefit is that birdsong has also been found to improve focus. It can help people focus on their tasks and be more productive (高效的). That’s because when people play birdsong in the background at work, it seems that a “wall” is built to help them stay away from the unpleasant noise outside. In this way, birdsong can be a powerful tool to improve productivity at work.
④Carrie Tom, a doctor in North Carolina, has also found that birdsong makes it easier to help people enter a deep sleep. Birdsong, as a kind of white noise, can slow down people’s heartbeats and breath. After listening to birdsong for a long time, a conditioned response (条件反射) is developed in their brains. Therefore, birdsong becomes a signal of entering sleep, which helps them fall asleep faster than before and improves their sleep quality.
⑤Birdsong, a gift from nature, connects people with calmer, more natural settings and makes people feel happier and healthier. So, next time you hear a bird singing, take a moment to enjoy its beautiful melody (旋律) and let it bring a little joy to your day!

These years, many college students choose to join the army after graduation. Zhao Huan is one of them.
When Zhao Huan was 26 years old, he joined the army and became one of the soldiers on the top of Changbai Mountain in Jilin Province. The three-year life in the army made him really strong-willed.
The weather on the mountain is terrible in winter. The snow can reach as deep as 2 metres. The lowest temperature can be -40°C. There are over 200 days a year when the wind speed is nearly 12 metres per second. “It is very difficult to fall asleep with the wind outside crying like a wolf,” Zhao said. Life was hard because of the weather. When the snow cut off the roads, the soldiers needed water most. They had to heat the snow to get water to drink, cook and wash with. To save water, they only took a bath once a month.
Even so, Zhao and his team did not give up. Whatever difficulties they met, they tried their best to finish their tasks. Especially when they were on duty outside in winter, snow hit their faces and they were frozen because of the low temperature. But they put their duty before anything and stood like a statue without a slight move.
Zhao said, “Life is not easy on the top of Changbai Mountain. Thinking of the lights of thousands of homes, I think my efforts pay off. For me, all the difficulties can be overcome in the future. The experience of being a soldier here really means a lot to me.”

33. People who ________ might be interested in reading this passage.
A. like loud and electronic music B. have problems sleeping
C. can focus on tasks easily D. live in the countryside

36. What is the text mainly about?
A. The history of birdsong in human life. B. The best ways to record birdsong.
C. Why birds dislike noisy cities. D. How birdsong influences people’s life.

Zhao said “Life is not easy on the top of Changbai Mountain. Thinking of the lights of thousands of homes, I think my efforts pay off. For me, all the difficulties can be overcome in the future. The experience of being a soldier here really means a lot to me.”
