How Long Does It Take?
Articles are usually received within 1-2 days and books in 5-10 days.However,obtaining items that are rare,recently published or in high demand may take longer.To speed up the process,please make sure the information you submit through the ILL Request Form is accurate.
Length of Loans
Loan periods are established by the lending library.All due dates are noted on the label.Borrowed items are subject to recall by the lending library.Any restrictions established by the lending library will be indicated on the label.No renewals(续借) are allowed for physical items borrowed through ILL.

Tom Sawyer Play Is an Adventure
A 35minute handclapping,footstomping musical version of a Mark Twain favorite returns with this Tall Stacks festival.
“Tom Sawyer:A River Adventure” has all the good stuff,including the fence painting,the graveyard,the island and the cave.It is adapted by Joe McDonough,with music by David Kisor.That's the local stage writing team that creates many of the Children's Theatre of Cincinnati's original musicals,along with the holiday family musicals at Ensemble Theatre.
This year Nathan Turner of Burlington is Tom Sawyer,and Robbie McMath of Fort Mitchell is Huck Finn.
Turner,a 10thgrader at School for Creative and Performing Arts,is a familiar presence on Cincinnati's stages.He is a star actor of Children's Theatre,having played leading roles in“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and “The Wizard of Oz”,and is fresh from Jersey Production “Ragtime”.
McMath is a junior at Beechwood High School.He was in the cast of “Tom Sawyer”when it was first performed and is a Children's Theatre regular,with five shows to his credit.This summer he attended Kentucky's Governor's School for the Arts in Musical Theatre.

The Language Exchange Programme allows students in pairs to communicate in two different languages they wish to share and learn each week.Students record short entries after each partner meeting noting the language skills practised and the topics discussed.Each pair of students meets three times throughout the term with a teacher who decides if the exchange is effective.Students who successfully complete the programme will receive one credit each.

PRACTITIONERS
Jacqueline Felice de Almania (c.1322) highlights the suspicion that women practicing medicine faced. Born to a Jewish family in Florence, she moved to Paris where she worked as a physician and performed surgery. In 1322 she was tried for practicing unlawfully. In spite of the court hearing testimonials (证明) of her ability as a doctor, she was banned from medicine.
Tan Yunxian(1461 — 1554) was a Chinese physician who learned her skills from her grandparents. Chinese women at the time could not serve apprenticeships (学徒期) with doctors. However, Tan passed the official exam. Tan treated women from all walks of life. In 1511, Tan wrote a book, Sayings of a Female Doctor, describing her life as a physician.
James Barry(c.1789 — 1865) was born Margaret Bulkley in Ireland but, dressed as a man, she was accepted by Edinburgh University to study medicine. She qualified as a surgeon in 1813, then joined the British Army, serving overseas. Barry retired in 1859, having practiced her entire medical profession living and working as a man.
Rebecca Lee Crumpler (1831 — 1895) worked as a nurse for eight years before studying in medical college in Boston in 1860. Four years later, she was the first African American woman to receive a medical degree. She moved to Virginia in 1865, where she provided medical care to freed slaves.

Camp Structure
The day is divided into two thematic sessions per age group. Camp Content
Explorers Camp organizes engaging arts, history and sciencerelated activities in every class, and focuses on a range of topics that emphasize active learning, exploration and, most of all, fun! All camp sessions are created with ageappropriate activities that are tailored to the multiple ways that kids learn.

Peer (同伴) Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) is a peerfacilitated learning programme available to students enrolled (注册) in most core units of study in our business school.
PASS involves weekly sessions where you work in groups to tackle specially prepared problem sets, based around a unit of study you're enrolled in.
PASS doesn't reteach or deliver new content.It's an opportunity to deepen your understanding of the key points from lecture materials while you are applying your skills to solve problems.
You work interactively with your peers.As a peer group, you decide what is covered in each session.That way, PASS directly responds to your needs and feedback.
Registration in Term 2 will open at 9 a.m., 21 September 2022.
Waiting lists
If a session is full, you can register for the waiting list.We will email you if a place becomes available or if a new session is to be held.
When you are placed on a waiting list, we will email you a number which tells you where you are on the list.If you are close to the front of the list, you have a good chance of gaining a place in the programme in the near future.
Deregistering
If you miss two PASS sessions in a row, you will be deregistered and your place will be given to someone on the waiting list.Make sure you fill in the attendance sheet at each session to record your attendance.

Pricing
Group Play $7/person
Scholarships
We offer scholarships to lowincome schools and youth organizations,subject to availability. Participation in a postvisit survey is required.
Scholarships are for Group Play admission fees and/or transportation. Transportation invoices (发票) must be received within 60 days of your visit to guarantee the scholarship.
Group Size
We require one chaperone (监护人) per ten children. Failure to provide enough chaperones will result in an extra charge of $50 per absent adult.
Group Play is for groups of 10 or more with a limit of 35 people. For groups of 35 or more, please call to discuss options.
Hours
The Museum is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Group Play may be scheduled during any day or time the Museum is open.
Registration Policy
Registration must be made at least two weeks in advance.
Register online or fill out a Group Play Registration Form with multiple date and start time options.
Once the registration form is received and processed, we will send a confirmation email within two business days.

Grading Policies for Introduction to Literature
Grading Scale
90—100,A;80—89, B;70—79,C;60—69,D;Below 60,E.
Essays (60%)
Your four major essays will combine to form the main part of the grade for this course:Essay 1= 10%; Essay 2=15%; Essay 3=15% ; Essay 4=20%.
Group Assignments(30%)
Students will work in groups to complete four assignments(作业) during the course. All the assignments will be submitted by the assigned date through Blackboard, our online learning and course management system.
Daily Work/InClass Writings and Tests/Group Work/Homework (10%)
Class activities will vary from day to day,but students must be ready to complete short inclass writings or tests drawn directly from assigned readings or notes from the previous class' lecture/discussion, so it is important to take careful notes during class. Additionally,from time to time I will assign group work to be completed in class or short assignments to be completed at home, both of which will be graded.
Late Work
An essay not submitted in class on the due date will lose a letter grade for each class period it is late. If it is not turned in by the 4th day after the due date, it will earn a zero. Daily assignments not completed during class will get a zero. Short writings missed as a result of an excused absence will be accepted.
