To meet the responsibility. B. To get all medical cost covered. C. To get protected against the high medical cost. 20. Who needn’t buy Harvard health plan? A. International scholars. B. Visiting professors. C. International students. B 19. C 20. M: Good morning! Here’s some information about health insurance. Health care and health insurance are important during your stay at Harvard. It is crucial that you learn about the differences between the medical care system in your own country and that in the United States. Arranging paying for medical care is your responsibility. The best way to meet this responsibility is to get health insurance coverage to protect you against high cost. Access to health insurance depends on your connection with the University. Requirements for health insurance also vary. American law requires that any full-time and part-time student registered in an institution of high learning in America must participate in a student health insurance program or in a health plan of comparable coverage. Therefore, all Harvard University students are automatically registered in the Harvard University Health Plan unless they can show that they have similar health insurance coverage on their own. International scholars are not required to purchase the Harvard health insurance plan. A Upcoming Poetry Foundation Events in Chicago and Online AR. Each was created from hard surfaces, their edges softening over time. And I wonder, can we learn from a pile of rocks? Even the tallest mountains have worn down; none are as tall as they were 1, 000 years ago. And much like a rock, I've found my attitude has softened and my desire to better understand others has expanded with each trip around the sun. Once I too was a sharp rock covered in pointy edges. Today, after decades of the waters of life coursing over me, my edges are softer and more understanding. I'm less likely to judge and more interested in learning how we can exist together. But I'm not a rock. I'm a human-being filled with all the drama built into my DNA. Two years ago, while traveling in the Pacific Northwest, I watched a restaurant owner ask a guy to leave for not falling in line with the rules. Not forceful and not rude. On the door read a sign: "Please wear a mask before entering our restaurant. We don't like it either, but let's all do what we can." But the guy tried to argue about the note. I sat watching, understanding both sides. I've been this guy before, using my youthful edges to chip away at the world. What I lost, however, was the ability to grow by looking through others' eyes, and thus the possibility of finding content and success. You can fit more rounded rocks in a jar than those with sharp edges. The former look for ways to adjust and make room for others; the latter never give an inch to accommodate others. Time like the waters rolling against once sharp stones, changes us by washing away our resistance to seeing the world from another's point of view. I placed a rounded stone into my pocket. Mother Nature is holding class again. 24. What does the author compare the rocks to? A. Challenges that we come across. B. Our abilities that grows with time. C. People with varied personalities. D. Different stages of people's lives. 25. What does the underlined phrase "the waters of life" in Paragraph 4 most probably refer to? A. The passing time that changes a person's attitude to himself. B. The difficult experiences that the author encountered in his life. C. The natural phenomena like rain and waves that wear down rocks. D. The various life events that shape the author's perspective on others. 26. What caused the argument in the restaurant? A. The guy's failing to obey the rules. B. The owner's inappropriate attitude. C. Misunderstanding between the two sides. D. Lack of clarity in the sign. 27. What does the author try to convey through this text? A. We should adjust ourselves to new conditions. B. Be brave when in the face of difficulties in life. C. Don't compromise easily and always stick to your principles. D. Being adaptive and understanding brings a sense of well-being. 【答案】24 C 25. D 26. A 27. 根据第三段“Even the tallest mountains have worn down; none are as tall as they were 1,000 years ago. And much like a rock. I’ve found my attitude has softened and my desire to better understand others has expanded with each trip around the sun. (即使是最高的山也已磨损;没有一座像一千年前那么高。和这些岩石很像,我发现我的态度软化了,而随着每过一年,我也更渴望能去更好地了解他人) ”以及根据第八段“You can fit more rounded rocks in a jar than those with sharp edges. The former look for ways to adjust and make room for others; the latter never give an inch to accommodate others.(把圆润的石头和棱角分明的石头放进罐子里,前者能装下更多。圆润的石头会想办法调整自身、为同类腾出空间;而棱角分明的石头,却绝不会退让分毫来包容他人)”可知,作者将“圆润的石头”和“棱角分明的石头”分别比作“懂得包容的人”和 “固执不愿妥协的人”,即“不同性格的人”。故选C项。 【25题详解】 词句猜测题。根据第四段中的 “after decades of the waters of life coursing over me, my edges are softer and more understanding. I'm less likely to judge and more interested in learning how we can exist together(历经数十年 “生命之水” 的冲刷,我的棱角变得柔和,也更懂得理解他人。我不再轻易评判,更愿意思考如何与他人共处)可知,“the waters of life” 指 “塑造作者对他人看法的各种人生经历”—— 正是这些经历让作者从 “爱评判” 变得 “善理解”。故选D项。 【26题详解】 细节理解题。根据第六段“Two years ago, while traveling in the Pacific Northwest, I watched a restaurant owner ask a guy to leave for not falling in line with the rules. Not forceful and net rude. On the door read a sign: “Please wear a mask before entering our restaurant. We don’t like it either, but let’s all do what we can.” But the guy tried to argue about the note. (两年前,在太平洋西北地区旅行时,我看到一个餐馆老板要求一个不遵守规定的人离开。他的态度既不强硬,也不粗鲁。门上写着:“请戴上口罩进入我们的餐厅。我们也不喜欢这样,但让我们一起尽己所能。”但那家伙试图就这条规定进行争吵。)”,从中可知,这次餐馆的争吵原因是这个人未能遵守规则。故选A项 【27题详解】 推理判断题。根据倒数第二段“You can fit more rounded rocks in a jar than those with sharp edges. The former look for ways to adjust and make room for others; the latter never give an inch to accommodate others. Time, like the waters rolling against once sharp stones, changes us by washing away our resistance to seeing the world from another’s point of view. (圆的石头比棱角分明的石头更容易装进罐子里。前者想办法调整自己,为他人腾出空间;后者从不让步迁就别人。时间就像水流冲刷着尖锐的石头,冲走我们对从别人的角度看世界的抗拒,从而改变了我们)”可知,作者通过本文传达的应是“具备适应能力且懂得体谅他人,能让人收获幸福感。”。故选D项。 C Babies playfully tease (戏弄) others as young as eight months of age. They tease their parents by playfully offering and withdrawing objects and breaking social rules. Since Language is not required for this behavior, similar kinds of playful teasing might be present in non-human animals. Now an international team of researchers has documented playful teasing in four species of great apes: orangutans, chimpanzees, bonobo s and gorillas. The team analyzed great apes’ social interactions that appeared to be playful. During these interactions, the researchers observed the teaser’s actions, bodily movements, facial expressions, and how the targets of the teasing responded in turn. They identified 18 distinct teasing behaviors. Many of these behaviors appeared to be used to draw a response, or at least attract the target’s attention. “It was common for teasers to repeatedly wave or swing a body part or object in the middle of the target’s field of vision, star e closely at their face, pull on their hair or perform other behaviors that were extremely difficult for the target to ignore,” explains Eric a Cartimill, senior author of the study. Although playful teasing took many forms, the authors note that it differed from play. “Playful teasing in great apes very much comes from the teaser, often throughout the entire interaction and is rarely responded. The animals also rarely use play signals like the primate (灵长目动物) play face’ which is similar to what we would call a smile, or 'hold 'gestures that signal their intent to play,” explains Cartmill. The researchers noted that other experts had mentioned similar behaviors happening in chimpanzees many years ago, but this new study was the first to systematically look at playful teasing. “We hope that our study will inspire other researchers to study playful teasing in more species in order to better understand this behavior. We also hope that this study raises awareness of the similarities we share with our closest relatives and the importance of protecting these endangered animals,” adds Cartmill. 28. Why is babies’ teasing behavior mentioned in paragraph 1? A. To indicate the connection between teasing behavior and language. B. To illustrate the early emergence of teasing behavior. C. To prove the universality of teasing behavior across species. D. To provide context for the study on great apes’ teasing behavior. 29. Why might a great ape pull on the hair of its fellow apes? A. To express its annoyance B. To catch their attention C. To assess their tolerance D. To signal its intent to play 30. What distinguishes playful teasing in great apes from play? A. It targets family members. B. It is accompanied by smiles. C. It draws non- spoken responses. D. It is mainly one-sided. 31. What do the researchers hope the study will inspire? A. Exploration of the similarities between humans and great apes. B. Further research on playful teasing in diverse species. C. Detailed study on social behaviors among great apes. D. Conservation of all kinds of endangered animals. 【答案】28. D 29. B 30. D 31. B 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。主要介绍的是一个研究小组对类人猿的社交互动发现,这些互动行为许多似乎是用来引起回应或者至少是引起目标注意,同时也指出了这项研究的意义。 【28题详解】 推理判断题。根据首段中的“Babies playfully tease (戏弄) others as young as eight months of age. They tease their parents by playfully offering and withdrawing objects and breaking social rules. Since Language is not required for this behavior, similar kinds of playful teasing might be present in non- human animals.(8个月大的婴儿就会逗弄别人。他们通过顽皮地提供和收回物品以及违反社交规则来戏弄父母。由于这种行为不需要语言,类似的嬉闹可能存在于非人类动物中。)”可知,文章首先介绍了婴儿在8个月大的时候就开始逗弄别人,这种行为不需要语言,所以这种行为可能存在于非人类动物中,结合下文中的“Now an international team of researchers has documented playful teasing in four species of great apes: orangutans, chimpanzees, bonobo s and gorillas.(现在,一个国际研究小组记录了四种类人猿的嬉闹行为:猩猩、黑猩猩、倭黑猩猩和大猩猩。)”可知,一个国际研究小组由此开始研究始终类人猿的嬉闹行为,由此可推断,第一段提到婴儿的戏弄行为是为研究类人猿的戏弄行为提供研究背景。故选D项。 【29题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段““It was common for teasers to repeatedly wave or swing a body part or object in the middle of the target’s field of vision, star e closely at their face, pull on their hair or perform other behaviors that were extremely difficult for the target to ignore,” explains Eric a Cartimill, senior author of the study.(该研究的资深作者Eric a Cartimill解释说:“戏弄者经常在目标的视野中反复挥舞或摆动身体的某个部位或物体,近距离地盯着他们的脸,拉他们的头发或做出其他让目标很难忽视的行为。”)”可知,类人猿拉他们的头发或做出其他让目标很难忽视的行为,由此可知,类人猿会拉同类的毛发是为了引起同类的注意。故选B项。 【30题详解】 细节理解题。根据第四段中的““Playful teasing in great apes very much comes from the teaser, often throughout the entire interaction and is rarely responded. The animals also rarely use play signals like the primate (灵长目动物) play face which is similar to what we would call a smile, or ‘ hold’ gestures that signal their intent to play,” explains Cartmill.(“类人猿的玩笑很大程度上来自于戏弄者,通常贯穿于整个互动过程,很少得到回应。动物也很少使用游戏信号,比如灵长类动物玩脸,这类似于我们所说的微笑,或者‘握住’手势,表示它们想玩,” Cartmill解释说。)”可知,类人猿的戏弄很大程度上来自于戏弄者,在整个互动过程中,很少得到回应,由此可知,戏弄应该是来与单方面的。故选D项。 【31题详解】 细节理解题。根据尾段中的““We hope that our study will inspire other researchers to study playful teasing in more species in order to better understand this behavior. We also hope that this study raises awareness of the similarities we share with our closest relatives and the importance of protecting these endangered animals,” adds Cartmill.(“我们希望我们的研究能激励其他研究人员研究更多物种的戏弄,以便更好地理解这种行为。我们也希望这项研究能提高人们对人类与近亲之间的相似性的认识,以及保护这些濒危动物的重要性,” Cartmill补充道。)”可知,研究人员希望这项研究能激励其他研究人员研究更多物种的戏弄,以便更好地理解这种行为。故选B项。 D At ancient sites across the Amazon River basin, mysterious plots of unusually rich soil dot (点缀) the landscape. Scientists have long debated the origin of this “dark earth”, which is darker in color than surrounding soils and richer in carbon. Some people think this dark earth formed naturally, but the latest research has shown that modern Kuikuro people in Brazil create similar soil around their villages on purpose, which adds evidence to the idea that long-ago Amazons deliberately made such soil too. Perron, an earth scientist at MIT, reviewed interviews of Kuikuro people conducted by a Kuikuro filmmaker in 2018 and found that Kuikuro villagers actively make dark earth by using ash, food bits and controlled burns. “When you plant in hilly land, the soil is weak,” explained elder Kanu Kuikuro in one of the interviews. That is why we throw the ash, manioc peelings and manioc pulp. When comparing soil samples from ancient and modern sites, researchers found “striking similarities” — both were far less acidic than surrounding soils and contained higher levels of plant-friendly nutrients. Analyses also revealed that dark earth holds twice the amount of carbon as surrounding soils on average. Scans (扫描) of the Xingu region suggest that the area is dotted with dark earth, and that hold as much as about 9 million tons of carbon — the annual carbon emissions of a small, industrialized country. “This number could roughly equal the annual carbon emissions of the United States when all dark earth across the Amazon is taken into consideration,” Perron says. Figuring out the true value of carbon stored in the Amazon’s dark earth will require more data. Still, the research has significant influences on the Amazon’s future. The technique highlights how ancient people were able to live in the Amazon by developing sustainable farming that doubled as a carbon-storing technique. With more and more greenhouse gases entering the atmosphere, it could also provide a blueprint for developing methods of sustainably locking atmospheric carbon in the soil, helping fight climate change. 32. What can we infer from the dark earth across the Amazon River basin? A. They are more acidic than surrounding soils. B. They contain more organic nutrients. C. They formed naturally. D. They contain less carbon. 33. Why does the author mention the annual carbon emissions of the US? A. To explain the difficulty of protecting dark earth. B. To show the wide distribution of dark earth in Amazon. C. To stress the huge carbon-storing capability of dark earth. D. To reveal the large carbon emissions of the United States. 34. What does the author stress in the last paragraph? A. The importance of developing sustainable farming. B. The advanced farming technology in ancient tomes. C. A possible solution to climate change. D. A way of green agriculture. 35. Which is the best title of the text? A. Urgency of Sustainable Development B. Facts About the Dark Earth C. Advantages of the Dark Earth D. Wisdom of Ancient Amazons 【答案】32. B 33. C 34. C 35. B 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要介绍了亚马逊黑土地的形成和功能。黑土地是人为形成的,而非自然现象。同时黑土地极强的碳吸附能力对于对抗全球气候变化有一定作用。 【详解】1. 推理判断题。根据第一段“Perron, an earth scientist at MIT, reviewed interview s of Kuikuro people conducted by a Kuikuro filmmaker in 2018 and found that Kuikuro villagers actively make dark earth by using ash, food bits and controlled burns.(麻省理工学院的地球科学家Perron回顾了2018年Kuikuro电影制作人对Kuikuro人的采访,发现Kuikuro村民通过使用灰烬、食物碎片和控制燃烧积极地制造黑暗的土地)”及“When comparing soil samples from ancient and modern sites, researchers found “striking similarities” — both were far less acidic than surrounding soils and contained higher levels of plant-friendly nutrients.(在比较古代和现代遗址的土壤样本时,研究人员发现了“惊人的相似之处”——两者的酸性都远低于周围土壤,并且含有更高水平的植物友好营养物质)”可知,黑土地富含更多的利于植物成长的营养物质,也就是有机营养成分。故选B。 2. 推理判断题。根据第二段“Scans (扫描) of the Xingu region suggest that the area is dotted with dark earth, and that hold as much as about 9 million tons of carbon — the annual carbon emissions of a small, industrialized country. “This number could roughly equal the annual carbon emissions of the United States when all dark earth across the Amazon is taken into consideration,” Perron says.(对新古地区的扫描表明,该地区散布着暗土,其中含有约900万吨碳——相当于一个小型工业化国家的年碳排放量。Perron说:“这个数字大致相当于美国每年的碳排放量,如果把整个亚马逊地区的黑色土壤都考虑在内的话。”)”可知,这个地区的黑土地可以吸附的碳数量相当于一个小型工业化国家的碳排量。由此可推知,作者提到了美国每年的碳排放量,是为了强调黑土地巨大的碳储存能力。故选C。 3. 推理判断题。根据最后一段“With more and more greenhouse gases entering the atmosphere, it could also provide a blueprint for developing methods of sustainably locking atmospheric carbon in the soil, helping fight climate change.(随着越来越多的温室气体进入大气,它也可以为开发可持续地将大气碳锁定在土壤中的方法提供蓝图,帮助应对气候变化)”可知,黑土地极强的碳吸附能力为对抗全球气候变化提供了可能的解决方案。故选C。 4. 主旨大意题。根据文章第一段“Perron, an earth scientist at MIT, reviewed interview s of Kuikuro people conducted by a Kuikuro filmmaker in 2018 and found that Kuikuro villagers actively make dark earth by using ash, food bits and controlled burns.(麻省理工学院的地球科学家Perron回顾了2018年Kuikuro电影制作人对Kuikuro人的采访,发现Kuikuro村民通过使用灰烬、食物碎片和控制燃烧积极地制造黑暗的土地)”及文章第二段描述“黑土地极强的碳吸附能力”和第三段“黑土地为对抗全球气候变化提供了可能的解决方案”可知,本文主要介绍了关于黑土地的一些信息,由此可推知,B项“关于黑土地的事实”最适合作文章标题。故选B。 第二节(共5小题, 每小题2.5分, 共12.5分) 阅读下面短文, 从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Whether things go right or wrong, feedback is always necessary. ____36____ However, providing effective feedback is not easy, as it typically requires several components. Now let’s examine each of them. Start on a positive note. Constructive criticism should always start on a positive note. It feels unfair and rude if someone tells you everything you did wrong without acknowledging your achievements. So when giving feedback, don’t just note the mistakes the receivers have made. ____37____ Be specific. Effective feedback needs to be specific. Inform the receivers precisely what aspects require improvement so they can identify and address those areas. For example, don’t say, “Your presentation was unclear. ” Instead, say something like, “The introduction of your presentation was a bit confusing. ____38____ ” This way, the receiver knows exactly what to concentrate on and can make more targeted improvements. ____39____ The whole point of feedback is to help someone make changes for the better. So you should provide ideas on how to improve. It’s crucial, however, to ensure that your ideas are actionable. For instance, “You need to work on your communication skills” sounds too general. It would be much better if you say, “Try practicing active listening and summarizing what others say to ensure you understand them fully. ” Be timely. ____40____ It only works if it happens very close to an issue arising. For example, say you’re with a coworker and notice something in the sales pitch he is working on. Instead of waiting for him to run into problems, provide the feedback right away. This gives the receiver the chance to make changes and avoid problems. A. Offer practical advice. B. Focus on making changes. C. It helps us learn from our mistakes and grow. D. It lacks a clear topic sentence at the beginning. E. Feedback isn’t of much use if it comes too late. F. The feedback acknowledges the hard work the person did. G. Instead, begin by recognizing their effort and what they got right. 【答案】36. C 37. G 38. D 39. A 40. E 【解析】 【分析】本文是说明文。主要说明了提供有效反馈的几个关键要素,包括以积极的方式开始、具体明确、提供实用的建议以及及时反馈。 【36题详解】 根据前文“Whether things go right or wrong, feedback is always necessary.(无论事情是对是错,反馈总是必要的)”以及后文“However, providing effective feedback is not easy, as it typically requires several components.(然而,提供有效的反馈并不容易,因为它通常需要几个组件)”可知,前文提到反馈是必要的,后文讲述有效的反馈并不容易,所以空处应填过渡句,C项“It helps us learn from our mistakes and grow.(它帮助我们从错误中学习和成长)”可知,承接上文,并和后文构成转折关系,符合文意。故选C项。 【37题详解】 设空位于段尾,应是对前文的总结,根据前文“Start on a positive note. Constructive criticism should always start on a positive note. It feels unfair and rude if someone tells you everything you did wrong without acknowledging your achievements. So when giving feedback, don’t just note the mistakes the receivers have made.(以积极的态度开始。 Effective feedback needs to be specific. Inform the receivers precisely what aspects require improvement so they can identify and address those areas. For example, don’t say, “Your presentation was unclear. ” Instead, say something like, “The introduction of your presentation was a bit confusing.”(要具体。有效的反馈必须是具体的。准确地告知接收者哪些方面需要改进,以便他们能够识别和解决这些领域。例如,不要说,“你的演讲很不清楚。”相反,你可以这样说:“你的介绍有点令人困惑”)”可知,D项“It lacks a clear topic sentence at the beginning.(开头缺少一个清晰的主题句)”符合本段主题,是对他人问题的具体反馈,说明演讲的具体问题。故选D项。 【39题详解】 设空位于段首,是本段的中心句,根据后文“The whole point of feedback is to help someone make changes for the better. So you should provide ideas on how to improve. It’s crucial, however, to ensure that your ideas are actionable. For instance, “You need to work on your communication skills” sounds too general. It would be much better if you say, “Try practicing active listening and summarizing what others say to ensure you understand them fully. ”(反馈的全部意义在于帮助别人做出更好的改变。所以你应该提供如何改进的想法。然而,确保你的想法是可行的是至关重要的。例如,“你需要提高你的沟通技巧”听起来太笼统了。如果你说:“试着练习积极倾听和总结别人说的话,以确保你完全理解他们。”)”可知,本段讲述反馈应提供实用的建议。A项“提供实用的建议”符合语境,故选A项。 【40题详解】 根据前文“Be timely.(要及时)”可知,本段讲述反馈需及时,所以E项“Feedback isn’t of much use if it comes too late.(如果反馈来得太晚,它就没有多大用处)”是对前文的解释,符合文意。故选E项。 第三部分 语言运用(共两节, 满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分, 共15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 Thousands of people fill the square. So he took the bird in his hands, carried it carefully home and showed it to his parents. At once, his parents took action. They washed the bird and found it injured. With the help of his parents, Albert dressed the wound. But it would need time and care for the bird to completely recover. As the bird had become dear to his heart, Albert immediately offered to care for the bird. Albert named his new friend “Lucky”. He began to feed the bird and he even ran out to collect grass to build a soft nest for the bird. Then, he put the nest beside his bed. Albert and the bird were sleeping together and living together. Soon they became close friends. Albert always told it about his experiences in school and his secrets. Lucky, an extremely patient audience, usually responded to him with a few nods and chirps (叽叽喳喳声). Albert’s parents also loved Lucky. They regarded it as a family member. In the course of time, Lucky gradually recovered and started to hop (脚跳) and jump a little bit and exercise its wings. That made everyone happier. Soon it would be able to fly. How wonderful! But what then? Albert became thoughtful and started to think. “If Lucky started to fly, it could simply fly away one day.” But that would not happen. Albert loved his friend so much that he couldn’t imagine parting with it. He wondered, “I should surely stay with Lucky forever. But how? Keep the windows closed all the time? That was not practical.” 注意:1. 续写词数应为150左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Then, he bought a small cage and kept Lucky in it. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Worried and confused, he didn’t know what to do about it. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】范文 Then, he bought a small cage and kept Lucky in it. In the beginning, Lucky seemed fine inside it. He believed he had made the right choice to keep Lucky close and secure. However, as time passed, things took a turn for the worse. After a fully recovery, Lucky wanted to spread its wing sand fly in the sky. When all its attempts failed, what Lucky could do was sitting inside the little cage and squawking sadly. Several days later, Lucky refused to eat and drink. Worried and confused, he didn’t know what to do about it. Knowing the bad situation, Albert’s parents decided to help Lucky and their son. They told their son, “If you really love Lucky, you should think of how to make it happy.” After careful consideration, Albert opened both his heart and the cage. Lucky was released and flew away. Two weeks later, a wonderful thing happened: Lucky returned, flying around Albert and chirped happily, seeming to say thanks to him. This had happened from time to time since then. Instead of losing a forced friend, Albert had made a permanent one. 词汇激活 行为类 ①时间流逝:pass/go by ②拒绝:refuse/turn down ③释放:release/free 情绪类 ①悲伤:sadly/sorrowfully ②快乐:happy/glad 【点睛】[高分句型1] He believed he had made the right choice to keep Lucky close and secure. B Standing on the lakeshore, my gaze drifts down to the tens-even hundreds of thousands of-small stones scattered around my boots, and I can't help but pause in wonder. Time, like the waters rolling against once sharp stones, changes us by washing away our resistance to seeing the world from another's point of view. I placed a rounded stone into my pocket Mother Nature is holding class again. C Babies playfully tease (戏弄) others as young as eight months of age. D At ancient sites across the Amazon River basin, mysterious plots of unusually rich soil dot (点缀) the landscape. A Urgency of Sustainable Development B. Facts About the Dark Earth C. Advantages of the Dark Earth D. G.
