Kuang Heng, a famous scholar and prime minister of the Western Han Dynasty, was born into a poor farming family. Despite hardships, he studied tirelessly, even chiseling a hole in the wall to borrow light from neighbors to read—a story known as “Borrowing Light through a Hole”. His perseverance led him from poverty to high office. This tale reminds students to cherish their youth and strive hard. Given that ancient people valued learning amid difficulties, we today should work even harder.
