在冬天,燕子会向南迁徙。
他们会朝着温暖的南方飞,具体目的地有两个方向:
国内的南方:比如广东、海南、云南这些冬天不冷的地方。
国外的南方:一部分燕子会飞得更远,穿越国境线,飞到东南亚的越南、泰国,甚至澳大利亚等国家。
飞行距离:近的要飞几千公里,远的能飞上万公里,相当于从中国最北边飞到最南边好几个来回。
为什么燕子非要 “搬家”?
最核心的原因是 “吃饭” 问题,具体有两点:
燕子主要吃空中飞的小虫子,比如蚊子、飞蛾。冬天一到,天气变冷,这些小虫子要么冻死,要么躲起来不出来了,燕子找不到食物就会饿死。
燕子的身体没 “保暖衣”,它们的羽毛不够厚,无法抵御北方零下的低温,留在原地容易被冻坏。
春天燕子还会回来吗?
当然会!这是燕子的 “回家本能”:
第二年春天,天气变暖,北方的虫子又开始活动,燕子就会沿着原来的路线飞回来。
它们还能找到去年自己搭的旧窝,简单修补一下,就可以继续住,然后生宝宝。
