如 “苹果”,我们会说 “píng guǒ”,“píng” 说得更用力!英语单词也一样,重音就是单词里读得最响亮、最用力的那个音节(音节可以理解为 “单词里的小发音单位”,比如 apple 分成 ap-ple 两个音节)。
举个例子:apple /ˈæpl/,重音在第一个音节 “ap”,读的时候要把 “æ” 说得又响又有力,后面的 “ple” 轻轻带过就好~
课本里的单词音标旁,常常有个小小的标记ˈ,它就像 “重音小喇叭”,告诉我们:“往这儿看!这个音节要重读!”
例子:banana /bəˈnɑːnə/,小喇叭在 “nɑː” 前面,所以重读第二个音节 “nɑː”(读成 “ba-NA-na”)
重音规则(记 3 条就够用)
1. 单音节单词(只有一个发音单位):全部重读!
比如:cat /kæt/、dog /dɒg/、book /bʊk/
这些单词只有一个音节,所以整个单词都要用力读,不用找重音~
2. 双音节单词(两个发音单位):大多重音在第一个音节! 这是小学最常见的规则,记牢它!
例子:teacher /ˈtiːtʃə/(TEA-cher)、student /ˈstjuːdnt/(STU-dent)、father /ˈfɑːðə/(FA-ther)
小例外:少数双音节单词重音在第二个音节(后面标★),
比如:about /əˈbaʊt/(a-BOUT)、away /əˈweɪ/(a-WAY)
3. 带 “-er、-or、-ly”等后缀 结尾的单词:重音在前面的音节!
这些结尾就像 “小尾巴”,读的时候轻轻带过,重音要落在前面的 “主体” 上~
例子:worker /ˈwɜːkə/(WORK-er)、doctor /ˈdɒktə/(DOC-tor)、happily /ˈhæpɪli/(HA-ppi-ly)
