B4U5 Revealing nature Starting out FREE TALK What animals are you interested in? Group work. Discuss the animals you are interested in. Dolphins: The "Intelligent Social Butterflies" of the Sea They have high emotional intelligence. They form close-knit groups (called pods) and even help injured members or other species, like rescuing humans. They use complex communication. Dolphins make clicks, whistles, and body language to "talk"—scientists think their "language" is more sophisticated than many animals. Tigers (from "Mammals" in Vertebrates) Tigers are such powerful and majestic mammals. I’m amazed by how they’re top predators in their habitats, with their beautiful striped coats that help them camouflage when hunting. Also, it’s sad but important to talk about how they’re endangered, so learning about tiger conservation feels meaningful. Butterflies (from "With 3 pairs of legs" in Invertebrates) Butterflies are so fascinating because of their life cycle—from caterpillar to chrysalis to the colorful adult butterfly. Their wings have such intricate patterns, and they play a huge role in pollination, which is vital for many plants. It’s cool how something so delicate can be so important for nature.
