I think it is a good choice. Studying abroad can make your life colourful—you’ll have new friends, new experiences and amazing stories in another country. You can learn another language well and also share your own culture with others. It will be fun! All of the skills from your experiences will be useful when you are looking for a job.
Studying abroad means you get the chance to be in a completely new environment. It’s necessary to have a better understanding of your own culture before you leave your home country. Living abroad may come with culture shocks. Feeling homesick (想家的) is natural along with other feelings that you will have.
To me, advantages about studying abroad are more than disadvantages. Through all of my experiences abroad, I can certainly tell you that living away from your home country can be difficult at times. On our second day in China, we had already been asked to join the school for supper. Nervous and unsure of the food and table manners, we politely agreed. Coming to China, the thing I was most nervous about was the food, and now my first dining experience would be with the school staff.
In Chinese culture the most important person sits facing the door. When plates of food started arriving, I wished I had worked on my chopstick skills before arriving in China.
Chinese culture is all about being hospitable (好客的). This means ordering lots of food and encouraging you to keep eating. It also means drinking wine or tea. You’ll never have an empty glass.
It’s polite to try everything, but if you know me, you would know I don’t eat everything. Fresh fish? Sure, an entire fish on the plate starting at you while you pick at it. Not for me. Snails with their shell crushed and cooked into a meal? No thanks! The lung of a pig? I’ll pass. It seems that the Chinese really eat everything!
The Chinese people are friendly. They want to learn about you and teach you about their culture. They like to ask questions, and it is polite to ask them many questions and keep the conversation going.
Every day I’m pushed out of my comfort zone (舒适区). But for the most part, I discover something I really enjoy. The experience itself is quite amazing. I’ve learned a lot, yet there’s still so much to learn. It surely is different from my culture and way of living, but being in their shoes and seeing life through their eyes has really helped me to understand. And I look forward to discovering more!

Dear Leslie,
I’m glad to receive your email. You asked me how to deal with the cultural shock when you are in China. Here are my suggestions.
First, you should learn Chinese well. Listen to the teachers carefully and take notes in class. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. And remember to be confident. You’d better find a partner to practice Chinese with. Next, you should respect Chinese culture. When you meet others, you should smile and shake hands with them. If you’re invited to a party, you’re supposed to be there on time. Then, you should make some friends in China. The key point of being a good friend is to respect others and be ready to help people in need.
I believe if you follow my advice, you won’t have any difficulty dealing with the cultural shock.
Yours,
Li Hua

1.D 2.A 3.B 4.A 5.C 6.D 7.C 8.C 9.D 10.B 11.B 12.C 13.B 14.D 15.C
故选A。
he他,主格;his他的;him他,宾格;he’s他是。
more different更加不同的;different不同的;differently不同地;more differently更加不同地。much修饰比较级,且be动词is后应跟形容词作表语,故选A。
Anyway无论如何;What’s more另外,更重要的是;However然而;Although虽然,尽管。上文“Madelenie has eaten tomatoes before(吃过番茄)”和下文“as soon as he tries the Chinese-style dish, he feels... he is eating a new type of vegetable(吃这道菜时就像是在吃一种新型蔬菜)”之间存在转折关系,且空后有逗号隔开,所以用however。故选C。
prepare准备;prepared过去式/过去分词;is preparing现在进行时;has prepared现在完成时。根据“she always puts some magical sauce when she... food”可知,应是在准备食物的时候,强调从句动作发生的过程中主句动作发生,应用现在进行时,故选C。
how she疑问词how(怎样)+主语;what she疑问词(what)+主语;how to后跟动词原形,表示“如何做”;what to 后跟动词原形,表示“做什么”。根据“cook”可知,此处应是“疑问词+动词不定式”作宾语,结合“has learnt...cook some special dishes from his grandma.”
根据“They like growing vegetables so... that they grow vegetables on the farmland and in their greenhouses.”
in在……里;at在;on在……上;by通过。on the farm“在农场”,固定短语。故选C。
