Unit 3 Could you please tell me where the restrooms are ? 宾语从句(二) 1、宾语从句的引导词 宾语从句的引导词有三类,分别是: (1)that 表陈述语气,通常可以省略。 (2)if/whether 表疑问语气,意为“是否”。 (3)特殊疑问词 常见的特殊疑问词有when, where, how, what, why等。 2、宾语从句必须用陈述句语序 不论从句由什么引导词引导,也不论主句是陈述句还是疑问句,宾语从句一律用陈述句语序,即“引导词+主语+谓语+其他”结构。  We don't know when will they arrive. (×) We don't know when they will arrive. (√) Could you tell me who is he waiting for? (×) Could you tell me who he is waiting for? (√)  注意:特殊疑问词作主语时,如果语序本来就是“主语+谓语”结构,则语序不再变化。 Please tell me. Who will give us a talk this afternoon?(合并为一句) 3、宾语从句在时态上应遵循时态呼应原则  在宾语从句中,谓语动词时态要受到主句谓语动词时态的制约,一般要遵循以下三条原则: (1)如果主句是祈使句或主句中的谓语动词是一般现在时或一般将来时,则宾语从句可根据实际需要选用时态。 Mary says she will come back soon. Will you tell us which places you visited during the vacation? (2)如果主句中的谓语动词是一般过去时,则宾语从句需要使用表示过去的某种时态。 He said that he played computer games last night.  I knew she had cleaned the classroom already. (3)如果宾语从句所表达的是客观事实、真理、自然现象、名言、警句、谚语等,多用一般现在时。 He said time is money. Our teacher told us that light travels much faster than sound.  4、宾语从句的“否定转移”  当主句的谓语动词为think, believe等词,且主语为第一人称时,从句中的否定词not应转移到主句谓语动 词。I think. She can't come.(合并为一句) →I don't think she can come.  5、宾语从句的简化结构 由特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句通常可以简化成“特殊疑问词+不定式”结构,此时主从复合句也就变成了简单句,但简化必须符合以下两种条件: (1)简单句的疑问词为原宾语从句的引导词; (2)原从句的主语应与主句的主语或间接宾语一致。 I don't know what I should do next.(改为简单句) →I don't know what to do next .  6、含有宾语从句的复合句的反意疑问句 (1)陈述部分是“I/We think (know, believe, suppose, consider)+that从句”或者是“I'm/We're sure that; I'm/We're afraid that; I/We hope that; It seems that”时,附加疑问部分的主语应和从句一致,但需注意否定前移的情况。I don't think he is right, is he? I'm sure that you know him well, don't you? (2)如果主语是其他人称,附加疑问部分的主语和主句一致。 Your father believed you could succeed, didn't he ? Kate doesn't know if Jim is a good singer, does she? Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark. Used to 的用法 used to意为”过去常常·····”,表示过去的习惯、状态或过去反复发生的动作,暗含现在已不存在或不再发生之意.其中,to为不定式符号,后接动词原形,其主语可以是各种人称. 1、used to 的各种句式 肯定句 used to+动词原形 否定句 didn't use to+动词原形 usedn't to+动词原形(用于正式英语) 一般疑问句及其答语 -Did sb. use to+动词原形...? -Yes, sb.+ did./No, sb. +didn't. Used sb to+动词原形...?(过时且非常正式) -Yes, sb.+ used to./No, sb. +usedn't to. 反意疑问句 附加疑问部分用”didn't/usedn't+sb.”或”did/used +sb).” He used to wear glasses.他过去戴眼镜. He didn't use to wear glasses./He usedn't to wear glasses.他过去不戴眼镜. -Did he use to wear glasses?他过去戴眼镜吗? -Yes, he did./No, he didn't.是的,他戴./不,他不戴. -Used he to wear glasses?他过去戴眼镜吗? -Yes, he used to./No, he usedn't to.是的,他过去戴./不,他过去不戴. Stamps can be used to send letters.邮票可以用来寄信. Unit 5 What are the shirts made of ? 被动语态(一) 语态用来表示主语和谓语之间的关系。英语中有两种语态,一种是主动语态,表示主语是动作的执行者;另一种是被动语态,表示主语是动作的承受者。下面的两个例句可以帮助大家理解二者的用法。 1. Kelly cleans the house every day. (该句为主动语态,主语Kelly是动作clean的执行者,宾语the house是动作clean的承受者。) 2. The house is cleaned by Kelly every day. (该句为被动语态,主语the house是动作clean的承受者,动作的执行者Kelly由介词by引出。) 被动语态通常由“助动词be+及物动词的过去分词”构成。当我们不知道谁是动作的执行者,或者没有必要指出谁是动作的执行者,或者只需强调动作的承受者时,要用被动语态。如: English is spoken in many countries. Such books were written for middle school students. The computer should be turned off at once.        被动语态可用于多种时态,本单元我们学习一般现在时的被动语态。 一、构成 被动语态由"be动词+及物动词的过去分词"构成,其中的be动词有人称、数和时态的变化。一般现在时的被动语态的各种句式如下: 句式 结构 例句 肯定句 主语+am/is/are+及物动词的过去分词(+其他). Who are told to study hard? 谁被要求努力学习? 二、如何将主动句变成被动句 分为五步 第一步将主动句中的宾语变成被动句中的主语(宾语如为人称代词,须将宾格变为主格); 第二步根据这个主语选用相应的助动词be (am / is /are); 第三步将主动句中的谓语动词变成它的过去分词形式; 第四步将主动句中的主语置于介词by之后(如为人称代词,须将主格变为宾格); 第五步将句中的其他成分加上。如: Unit 6 When was it invented ? 被动语态(二) 概念:表示过去发生的动作或存在的状态,主语是动作的承受者。 句型结构: 1.肯定句:主语+was/were+及物动词的过去分词+其他。 He was chosen to work for the village. 他被选上为这个村庄工作。 2.否定句:主语+was/ were + not+及物动词的过去分词十其他。 He wasn't chosen to work for the village. 他没有被选上为这个村庄工作。 3.一般疑问句:Was/Were+主语+及物动词的过去分词+其他? 肯定回答:Yes,主语+was/were. 否定回答:No,主语+was/were + not. —Was he chosen to work for the village? 他被选上为这个村庄工作了吗? —Yes, he was./No, he wasn't. 是的,他被选上了。/不,他没被选上。 4.特殊疑问句:特殊疑问词+was/were+主语+及物动词的过去分词+其他? When was the picture taken? 这张照片是什么时候拍的? ★注意 1.主动句中若有双宾语,则将其中一个宾语作为被动句的主语,另一个宾语不变。[动词make,buy,get的间接宾语(指人)前用for;动词give,send, lend则用to。 2.不使用被动语态的几种情况: (1)不及物动词或不及物动词短语不能用被动语态,如:die, happen, take place等; (2)感官动词、某些系动词没有被动语态,如:feel, become, look, seem等; (3)有些动词用主动形式表示被动意义。 This pen writes well. 这支钢笔很好写。 Unit 7 Teenagers should be allowed to choose their own clothes. 被动语态(三) 含情态动词的被动语态 语法示例 1.Do you think teenagers should be encouraged to make their own decisions?你认为应该鼓励青少年自己做决定吗?(教材P52 Grammar Focus) 2.Your bedroom must be cleaned every day.你的卧室必须每天打扫.(教材P52 4a) 3.
