②Chris Bailey, a popular blogger, tried this out. Here is what he has found.
③First, you lose weight faster. Yeah, you do. You don’t have to exercise but just keep away from drinks for 9 days. It is the same as running for 8 kilometers a day! So write down your resolution (决心) on a piece of paper and put it on the wall. And you will see the result soon.
④Second, drink enough water. Sometimes when you have to stay up late for a test, a cup of tea or coffee is usually by your side on the desk. But do you know 75 to 85 percent of your brain is water? Nothing else. Just by drinking water, your brain can work efficiently. You may remember things quickly and well.
⑤What’s more, water washes out something bad in your body. So drinking enough water can stop you from getting a cold soon. If you want to look young and beautiful as long as possible, drink a glass of water right now. Keep on doing it for longer, and you will be surprised at your soft and clean skin.
⑥Lastly, you save money! How much money do you spend on coffee and juice every week? The price of water is much lower than that of other drinks. Drink 5 glasses of water every day, or spend money visiting doctors. Think about it!

阅读下文并回答问题
My name was Chad. I was a clever but naughty (淘气的) child. I loved playing games during my free time instead of helping my mother with housework.
One day, my dad had a car accident and couldn’t work. My mum had to support (供养) the family on her own. She was tired out. I knew I had to do something to help my mum. So I started sharing the housework. At the same time, I cleaned the gardens in the community to make some money. My mum was proud of me, but she didn’t use any of my money. She wanted me to save it for myself.
When it came to choosing New Year’s gifts for my family, I spent hours in the store choosing gifts for everyone, but I didn’t buy anything for myself. When my mum asked me the reason, I said, “I don’t need anything, Mum.” “Chad, you’re still a kid,” said my mum. “You don’t have to take on these burdens (负担) at such a young age.” But I was determined (坚定的). Mum was moved and realized that her son was no longer a little kid.
“Family is where life begins, and love never ends,” I said. “In my eyes, when family face difficulties, everyone should do something to help his or her family solve problems.”

①Young people enjoy different kinds of drinks, though they know how bad drinks are for their health. What about you? What will happen to you if you drink water instead of all drinks?
⑦So what are you waiting for?
