3. 运用相关语言表达,与同伴交流自己家乡的景点并表达对家乡的热爱。

教学重点:

教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in
1. Have students look at the picture on page 30 and answer the following questions.
(1) What can you see in this picture?
(2) Where can you see them?
(3) What is your hometown like?
2. Have students read the unit overview on page 30 and answer the following question.
What will we learn in this unit?
Step 2 Look, listen and complete
1. Have students look at the pictures in Part A on page 31 and answer the following questions.
(1) What can you see in the pictures?
(2) How much do you know about these places?
2. Have students listen to the introductions in Part A and complete the notes.
Step 3 Think and answer
Have students answer the following question.
Which place of interest would you like to visit most among the four? What can you do there?
Step 4 Listen and complete
Listen to Daniel and Amy’s conversation and complete the table below.

What is special about it

Step 6 Read and discuss
1. Have students answer the following questions.
(1) If exchange students come to your hometown, which places of interest would you like to show them? Why?
(2) How can you get to those places of interest?
(3) What else can exchange students see or do in your hometown?
Step 7 Sum up
Have students summarize what they have learned in this lesson.
Step 8 Homework
Compulsory homework:
1. Work in pairs and talk about some famous places of interest in Beijing.
2. Preview Reading on page 32.
Optional homework:
Introduce some famous places of interest in your hometown to your friends and family.
