Dear Future Me,
Today is April 19th, 2024. I am just now realizing how afraid I am to grow. Fear is a physical, mental factor that 1 me from taking action in my life. It has not helped me but stopped me.
I realize that when I look into the future a growing weight of anxiety will cause my heart to beat quickly and loudly. Fear limits (限制) my action. Negative 2 keep my hopes in the deep corner of my mind. I wonder now who I would be if I 3 courage instead and kept it. What beautiful thoughts would come out if I only listened? What if instead I followed their lead? Would they encourage me to take action? I have the feeling that the 4 is yes.
Alicia, I want you to go on your trip to Belize. You 5 have the right to be afraid. But I know you want more within you. I know at this very moment you feel too 6 in your mind, too careful to hope, but you must choose the pains of self-control and practice, not the pains of regret. Do it in your own way. When you 7 your life, I want you to be able to have a smile on your face. And you can be 8 of the fact that you did the best. Trust me, that’s the wisest 9 you can take. You will never regret showing up for yourself.
Go on that trip and learn more about yourself. Make new friends with people who bring out the best in you. Be brave enough to take action. Believe 10 you are in fact, good enough.
With love,
Alicia
