Ask What types of pollution do you see around you? Invite pupils to talk about the types of pollution they see around them, e.g. water pollution caused by the rubbish in the sea.
Instruct pupils to take a photo of the pollution around them for the next lesson. Have pupils bring their photos to class. Invite pupils to come to the front of the class to share their photos and identify the type of pollution in their photos. You may also choose to display their photos.
At the end of the activity, have pupils discuss their feelings about seeing pollution around them. Ask Do you think it’s important to stop causing pollution? (Yes.) Why? (e.g. I want to live in a beautiful and clean city.)
