I don’t really care if my friends are similar to or different from me. I have two amazing friends. Lily is funnier than anyone else I know. When I feel sad or have a problem, she makes me laugh and feel better. She helps me see the silver lining in difficult situations.
My other friend, Lucy, is not as funny as Lily. Lucy is quieter, but she listens better than others. Lucy and I talk about everything. I know she cares about me because she’s always there to listen.
My favourite saying is, “A true friend reaches for your hand and touches your heart.” Both Lily and Lucy are true friends. We are always ready to help each other by lending a hand.

In my view, friends should be similar. When friends share common ground, it's a breeze to get along. We can relish the same joys and understand each other effortlessly.
Take my friend Tom and me as an example. We're both head-over-heels for basketball. Every weekend, we hit the basketball court together. We cheer for the same teams and discuss strategies animatedly. We even imitate our favorite players' moves. Our shared passion for basketball has knitted our friendship closer.
We never run out of things to talk about, and the countless matches
we've played side by side have deepened our bond. Just like two
notes in harmony, our similarities make our friendship a
beautiful melody.

I firmly believe that friends should be different. Friends with diverse traits can bring a wealth of new perspectives and experiences into our lives, helping us grow and broaden our horizons.
My friend Lisa is a perfect example. I'm a rather cautious person, always hesitant to step out of my comfort zone. Lisa, however, is incredibly adventurous. She loves trying extreme sports like rock-climbing and
bungee-jumping. Encouraged by her, I once mustered the courage to
try rock-climbing. It was terrifying at first, but as I made my way up
the wall, I felt a sense of achievement like never before. This
experience taught me to be braver and more confident.

Also, Lisa has a very different taste in music. While I'm into soft and soothing melodies, she prefers energetic rock music. Through her, I've discovered many great rock bands, and now I find myself enjoying this genre more than I ever thought I would.
In conclusion, having different friends enriches our lives, allowing us to learn, grow, and experience things we might otherwise miss out on.
For example-different
Personally, I don't mind whether my friends are similar to or different from me. What truly counts in a friendship is the sincere care and support between us.
I have two friends, Amy and Bob. Amy is a book-worm, while I'm more into outdoor activities. Despite our different hobbies, whenever I'm buried in books seeking knowledge for a project, she's always ready to offer me great book recommendations. On the other hand, Bob is a sports enthusiast like me, but he has a more laid-back personality. When I'm stressed about sports competitions, he calms me down with his easy-going attitude.
Whether my friends are like me or not, they are always there for me in their unique ways. After all, friendship isn't about sameness or differences, but about the warm connection that transcends all.
