1. What is the man doing, Xiao Ya? He is flying a plane. He is a pilot.小雅,那个男士在做什么?他在开飞机。他是一名飞行员。

2. What’s your dream job? I want to be an artist.你梦想的工作是什么?我想成为一名艺术家。
[点拨] (1) What's your dream job?” 是询问对方理想职业的常用方式。What do you want to be? What do you want to do in the future?这两种也都是询问对方理想职业的常用表达。
(2)“artist” 是发音以元音音素开头的单词,所以表示“一位艺术家”时,要用不定冠词 “an”,即 “an artist”。
3. I work with actors, actresses and other artists. I give directions to them. Together with them, I produce films. What do I do?我与男、女演员和其他艺术家合作。我指导他们。我与他们一起制作电影。我是做什么的?
[点拨] (1)What does sb do?询问“某人是做什么的?”
(即职业或工作内容)
(2) together with 介词短语,意为“和……一起,连同”。
如果连接两个并列的的名词做主语,谓语动词遵循就远原则。
例:My mother together with me likes dancing.我和妈妈都喜欢跳舞。
(3) give directions to sb 给某人指导。direction还可表示“方向”,常见的固定搭配 in the direction of...:朝……方向。例:We walked in the direction of the school.我们朝学校的方向走去。
