形容词的比较级和最高级
一、形容词的比较级
1.概念:
在英语中,形容词有原级、比较级和最高级三个等级。一般情况下在表示某人或某物的特征时用原级(即原形);在两者或两方面之间进行比较时要用形容词的比较级。
2.构成:
情况 规则
一般情况 加-er
以-e结尾的形容词 加-r
以“辅音字母+-y”结尾的形容词 去掉-y,再加-ier
以一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节词 将辅音字母双写再加-er
多音节和部分双音节形容词 在形容词前面加 more
3.用法
在表示性质、特征或程度上超过时,通常用“比较级+than";用“Which/Who...+比较级,.. or...?"来表示在两者中进行选择。

比较级的一些特殊用法:
①形容词比较级前可用much、even、still、far、a little a lot.a great deal、no、any 等修饰。

②“比较级+and+比较级"结构意为“越来越……"。

③“the+比较级,the+比较级"结构意为"越……就越..."。

二、形容词的最高级
1.概念
三者或三者以上的人或事物进行比较时,其中一个在性质、特征或程度上超过其他几个时,要用最高级形式。
2.构成
一般来说,单音节和部分双音节词在词后加-est,多音节词和部分双音节在词前加 most。
3.用法
形容词的最高级一般是用of/ in/ among 来说明比较的范围;用“Which/Who...+最高级,.…… or...?"来表示在三者中进行选择。

三、数量的比较
1.两者之间数量上的比较
①"more... than..."结构表示"比……多的……", more 是 many 和 much的比较级,表示“更多的”,后接可数名词复数或不可数名词。

四、“as... as...”的用法
"as... as..."意为"和……一样……”,两个as中间用形容词或副词的原级,表示同级的比较。
1.肯定形式"as... as..."意为“和……一样……”。
