- Optional: Make a video to share your holiday, including 4 factors: where, who, what, how.

 Teaching Procedures 

 1. Step 1: Greeting and Lead-in 

- Have a simple daily conversation with students to create a relaxed atmosphere. Then give students time to share with each other. 

  Design Intention: Daily interaction builds a positive teacher-student relationship and activates students’ prior knowledge about holidays, laying a foundation for the lesson. 

 2. Step 2: Lead-in 

(1) Show students the picture and let students answer the questions: 

① What's the relationship of the people in the photo? 

② Where do you think these people are? 

③ What are they doing? 

Think?: What makes a great holiday? 

(2) Let students learn and review some words and phrases by asking them the question: What did you do during the summer holiday?

(Review the past tense) 

(3) Let students practise the sentences and phrases by making a conversation with a partner. 

  Design Intention: Pictures and questions stimulate curiosity and critical thinking. Reviewing vocabulary and past tense through personal experiences makes learning meaningful. Pair practice improves oral communication skills. 

 3. Step 3: Pre-Listening 

Tell students Yaming and Emma also shared their holidays. And let them guess from the given pictures: ① What do the two pictures show us? ② What do you think they will talk about?
