when /wen/ conj. 当……时 ,引导时间状语从句,遵循 “主将从现” 规则 :
即 主句用一般将来时,从句用一般现在时。

When he comes back, I will tell him the news. 他回来时,我将会告诉他消息 。
What will they buy when they earn money? 他们挣钱后将买什么 ?
拓展延伸:“主将从现” 适用范围:除 “when”,还有 “if(如果 )、as soon as(一……就 )、until(直到 )” 等引导的时间 / 条件状语从句 。
though /ðəʊ/ adv. 然而;可是 ;conj. 尽管;虽然
• 作副词(常用于句末 ,起补充说明、转折语气的作用 )
The trip was great. The weather was bad at times, though.
这次旅行很棒。不过,天气有时不太好 。
• 作连词(引导让步状语从句,可放在句首或句中,意为“尽管;虽然” )
She went to school on time though she was ill.
尽管她生病了,她还是按时上学了 。
• 注意:汉语里“虽然……但是……”常连用,英语中“though”和“but”不能同时出现在一个句子里 ,只能用其一

1. to his surprise用于句首通常是为了强调惊讶的情绪,也可以放在句子中间,不过在这种情况下,它的强调作用可能会稍弱一些。
2. two peas in a pod表示“形影不离,一模一样”。是一个习语,用于形容两人关系非常亲密,经常在一起。
3. lend后接双宾语时,如果直接宾语在前,间接宾语在后,那么要用“lend sth. to sb.”结构。
4. At the end of 表示时间时,意思是 “在…… 结束时;在…… 的尽头”。表示地点时,意思是 “在…… 的尽头;在…… 的末端”。
