Introduction to the topic:引出要讨论的争议性话题,说明该话题存在不同看法,不提前表达个人立场。
Arguments for the topic:明确支持该话题的观点,用 1-2 个具体理由(如事实、例子)支撑,说明为何支持。
Arguments against the topic:以转折语气引出反对观点,同样用具体理由解释反对的原因,与正方形成对比。
Conclusion (your opinion):

Nowadays, whether teenagers should take part - time jobs during school holidays has sparked a heated discussion.
Many people believe it's beneficial for teenagers to do part - time jobs. Firstly, part - time jobs can help teenagers earn some pocket money, which allows them to learn how to manage money and reduces the financial burden on their families to some extent. Secondly, through part - time jobs, teenagers can come into contact with society earlier. They can improve their communication and teamwork skills, which is helpful for their future career development.

However, others hold the opposite view. They think that some part - time jobs, such as manual labor, have little to do with teenagers' growth needs. Moreover, part - time jobs may take up a lot of time, leaving teenagers with no time to rest or recharge themselves during holidays, like reading books or learning new skills.
In my opinion, teenagers can take part - time jobs selectively during school holidays. But if a part - time job only aims at making money but sacrifices rest and growth, it's not worthwhile.

45
CRITICAL THINKING
According to the author, why is nature turning on us?
First, overpopulation results in heavy building using local materials without proper planning, which can contribute to landslides or collapse during earthquakes. Next, global warming, caused by factories and vehicles, and the destruction of forests cause climate change and extreme weather conditions.
46
CRITICAL THINKING
Is the author's attitude positive or negative towards the future? Find evidence from the text.
The author has a negative point of view. He believes that environmental disasters will get worse, after speaking to experts. He says “Experts are predicting worse to come.”, “Most disaster experts believe that things could get a lot worse...”, “He warns that the world has not seen the worst yet...”, and “There are about two of these events every 100,000 years...”
47
CRITICAL THINKING
Do you agree with the author? Why? What is your attitude towards the future?
I agree with the author that things will get worse. The writer presents a lot of facts of disasters in the text. In recent years there have been more natural disasters than in the past, so I think this will continue unless we can manage to stop or reverse global warming.
